The Villa Sophia

I feel a bit odd writing a Unilocal review for this spot, because it’s such a gem that my first inclination is to keep the secret to myself.
But where’s the fun in that?
To put it simply: Villa Sophia might be the most beautiful place in Los Angeles. The view from the pool deck makes LA look the way David Lean would film it – majestic, sweeping, gorgeously pastoral.
The pool is absolutely to die for; lay back on an inflatable raft and let the fountains spritz arcs of water over you as you drift below, and just try not to feel giddy with joy.
Is there a decadent steam shower, a ridiculously comfy bed, and a lush garden to explore? Yes on all counts.
I should also note that Tim is an impeccable host — warm, helpful, friendly and incredibly welcoming.
There will always be high-​end hotels all over Los Angeles with views, and gardens, and swimming pools. But comparing them to Villa Sophia is like comparing a rerun TV episode to a daydream; this spot feels custom made to induce tranquility. When you’re here, it feels like the whole rest of the world is just some other distant place.

Villa Sophia is a truly charming property; the accommodations are very comfortable (great bed), and well outfitted. with a large and stunning tiled pool, beautiful garden, terrace and spa. Service is great ! The Villa Sophia is everything you could wish for and more…
