I love how they’ve revamped the store! The Warehouse now has an art space called Eleven97 and another space for high-end vintage items. Some of the high-end stuff was beautiful– I absolutely love the hats. I also like some of the furniture items. Unfortunately, I haven’t purchased anything here yet– either clothes don’t fit or the items too pricey.

Very cute place! They have a parking lot but plenty of street parking. This is a vintage clothing shop. Not my style of clothing but super cute never the less. They also have really neat antique pieces and furniture.

Nice people working. Love the store design… fun funky clothes and some home furnishings. Not really my style but I enjoyed going.

Despite it’s name The Warehouse doesn’t have a huge selection, but what they do showcase is in really great shape. Instead of walking in to a huge store with piles and piles of stuff, the staff carefully selects clothing, furniture, and knickknacks and displays them in a unique and funky way. You can find cool pieces plus inspiration on how to set up your gently used décor.(Plus the sky is the limit– everything is for sale in the store– light fixtures, displays etc. so if you want to recreate– its easy) I had gone into a few vintage shops(Revival, St Vincent, Finster) and couldn’t find what I was looking for(cute decorative shelf) but really scored at The Warehouse. They actually didn’t have any shelves in the store, but had these badass hooks that were way more unique and perfect for my empty wall. Warehouse also offers classes and workshops so its a double bonus for vintage or eco friendly DYIers. Check out their website and sister location. The store is currently going through some renovations so is only open part time, but when they are selling– they offer a ‘pardon our appearance’ discount. I personally thought the place looked fine as it was– but happily took the discount. The prices are a little more than some other area vintage stores, but still competitive– plus you’re really getting gently used treasures vs someones old discarded throwaways. Instead of tricking your pad out in Ikea MDF chemical laden crap, you can live green and decorate in an eclectic way with second life goods. Total FAN

I passed by this place and decided to stop in since it looked super cute. I personally don’t really like vintage clothes, but if you do, you’ll love it. I did really like the accessories though. They have super cute purses, jewelry and greeting cards. I bought some greeting cards which had unique designs. The girl working there was friendly and helpful. I wouldn’t mind checking back here to see what new accessories they have.

Justin the owner is a visionary and this store is only the beginning of his creative stamp in the Echo Park community. Having had the chance to chat with him while visiting the store on a slow afternoon I learned about the history of his business and about his commitment to running a self-sustainable shop that actually«gives» to the community rather than take from it. His employees range from local community members to art and design college graduates, all receiving a fair wage. How they get their clothes and antiques: He shops at estate sales, so he will bring in a household’s whole collection(from their most priceless painting to their dusty photo projectors, typewriters, sewing machines, bedframes and dressers, couches, lamps and of course clothes. Everything is researched and priced competitively often below eBay prices plus if you get on their mailing list(only one monthly update) you can get up to 30% off from the whole store on special days. Whatever clothes don’t sell after a while are sweep off the hangers and into storage for future reconstruction projects where they transform bad eighties dresses and shiny shirts into avant-guarde vintage renewal garments that are also sold like hotcakes at the store(note: they don’t actually sell hotcakes, it’s just a Cuban saying: when something sells like hotcakes it means people want it and it goes fast)! Classes and Events: Check their website or join their mailing list for information on classes and events. They offer everything from basic sewing to chandelier-making(crafty, creative and design driven themes). They also have events, such as comedy nights, music, theater and the likes. Offering free wifi through an open network people are welcome to come in sit on the furniture and go online for their Internet needs. After really getting to know the ins and outs of the business and seeing the passion with which Justin(the owner) talked about his store this place hands down gets 5 stars. Everything is done with great integrity and that is the one quality that any business should possess in order to thrive.

I have not shopped at The Warehouse Echo Park, instead I came here on Wednesday night to see the first set of comedians hosted by Abbey Londer and Karl Hess. This Wednesday night of comedy is titled Neighbors as both Abbey and Karl live nearby. They put up a great line-up of comics including Chelse Peretti [Heart with Hands]. This will be a monthly show so look out for more comedy action!!! Here is the Facebook posting for the event:

Thank you for not having a superabundance/explosion of clothes. I would estimate that were 150 – 200 pieces of clothing total, plus many accessories. I felt like I could look at each item individually without the the fear of missing something. All items were in good condition. Almost bought myself a lovely blue dress, but I’ll be back in the area tomorrow and if it’s still there, I’ll know from the vintage gods that it was meant for me. Staff was welcoming, friendly and not pushy. Prices are great. A must-stop place if you are going vintage shopping for the day.

The Warehouse is fantastic. They have absolutely amazing sales($ 10 items, yes please), reasonable prices and the place itself is very cute. Not to mention that the girl who helped me was incredibly sweet, and was very attentive to the customers who were in the store. I recommend checking this place out!

I was on a self-imposed shopping freeze, but when I drove by The Warehouse after work, I couldn’t help but stop by for a visit. Their«Holiday Sale» sign and cute Xmas decorations really enticed me to drop by. I seriously think this place gives off a Anthropologie feel. Anyway, I ended up purchasing a cute pair of carpenter tool earrings by Handy Randy. I was able to mix and match the tool charms and chose the hatchet and hammer. They also had screwdriver– and wrench-shaped earring too. I got 30% off the retail price because I paid in cash. It all came out to a little over $ 12! I was very happy with the service at The Warehouse. The cute girls who worked there greeted me with a big smile and seemed genuinely happy to see me shopping around. They were really helpful when I asked them some questions about the jewelry and thanked me for shopping with them as I left. I will definitely be returning to those adorable vintage warehouse in the future. From what I could tell, none of their stuff cost more than $ 35, which is great! Some places will really mark up the price of their items just because they call themselves a vintage store. But not The Warehouse. They even have a seamstress/tailor who can alter your purchase for you. They also accept gigs from folks who bring in their stuff and I think the price is around $ 6 – 10 for alterations. Parking is very limited in their lot I think they had 2 – 3 available spots. You may want to park on the street instead if you don’t want to deal with their steep driveway.

Popped into this place pretty briefly. It apparently just opened last week. Love the big warehouse space. There were racks of vintage clothing, accessories and jewelry. Stands dotted with succulent bowls for sale($ 8 or $ 14). Pretty glass jars arranged by color. The space feels big and airy, never cluttered. They had some great things piled up the two walls on either side from floor to ceiling(stacks of mint condition vintage luggage, a gorgeous victrola chest with red floral trim, curious cabinets of Dr. Caligari… that sort of thing). Unfortunately none of that is for sale. . I liked the overall aesthetic but I didn’t fall in love with any particular items… A lot of clothing etc wasn’t priced so I gather that they’re probably still easing into the whole thing I suppose I(or you) shall come back in a bit and see how they’re doing.
