Nasty place will never go back. I wish i could give zero stars. I ordered spaghetti pomodoro, it came out cold and salty. When i informed the smelly waiter he said its just come out of the kitchen nothing they can do.

Ahh. Bella Roma! We live just a short walk away and have been coming here for years. This is a cute little Italian restaurant tucked into a strip mall on Robertson. They have PARKING, affordable wine, and great handmade pasta. Here’s a tip: if you have a ton of laundry to do, go to BR on a Saturday afternoon, order a bottle of wine, and pop your laundry into a washer at the laundromat next door. Laundry is virtually painless as you guzzle down some wine on their patio on a nice day. The restaurant is super family friendly. We recently had a baby and now understand why we have seen so many families here over the years.

Bella Roma is just a completely solid DELICIOUS every day/night type neighborhood restaurant. The menu is huge and full of authentic Italian dishes. Incredibly reasonable if not downright cheap. The service is super friendly. I ALWAYS take their advice on what to order and their never wrong. Great wine choices. The meals always start with a nice home baked loaf of bread that tastes like it was just made in Italy itself. Desserts are tasty too. Pizzas are fantastic. Pasta is great. Love the salads and the appetizers too. I cannot recommend this super friendly place enough. Enjoy!

As an Italian, I can say that this is the best italian food I have ever had! The ambience is reminiscent of a wonderful afternoon on a sunny day in Rome! The customer service is absolutely amazing! From the moment you walk through the door, the friendly staff treat you like royalty. The chef, who is also the owner, is very sweet! He even came to our table to take our order. He then returned to check on us! The food is out of this world amazing. Our lunch began with the in house cooked bread and the olive tapenade! My husband and I then had the fried Calamari as our appetizer. It was a perfect balance of the Calamari to breading ratio! The marina dipping sauce made the dish even better. We then shared their Roma pizza. I had never had such mouth watering pizza in my while life. This pizza is one of a kind and is a must when eating at this amazing restaurant. My husband had the Alfredo with pancetta and peas. I had the four cheese gnocchi. This dish was heaven on earth. The chef told us he called them his pillows of love! Best gnocchi on earth. If you want a true italian experience in Los Angeles, you must come to Trattoria Bella Roma!

Bella Roma is a solid, reasonably priced Italian restaurant featuring freshly made tagliatelle. Not for special occasions — but great for a regular night out. Dinner is less than $ 20 an entrée, portions are big, and your meal comes with toasted slices of Italian bread and tapenade starter. Began with the deep-fried, cheese-stuffed risotto balls. Can’t go wrong with this total comfort food. Recommend the risorgimento tagliatelle — the tangy creamy tomato sauce cuts through the richness of the prosciutto and mushrooms. The fresh noodles are softer than regular noodles, which may bother fans of a more al dente texture. Attentive, friendly staff. Small parking lot outside.

I went back to Bella Roma to give it another try. This time I was with my kids and we needed to find a fun date night w kids in tow. Everything was excellent. The service, the food, the timing. We ordered the mushroom pizza, minestrone soup, burrata salad, vongole pasta and a rigatoni dish. All were amazing and we will definitely come back here!

Excellent pizza, nice outdoor seating area, and even better service. These guys rock, and since I was waiting for my laundry next door, they let me hang out on my laptop even after I finished my pizza. Will definitely be back when I am in WeHo again.

I love how friendly and accomodating the staff is. You can customize your pasta and even ask for half and half. I can never decide so I always ask for half this and half that. I love the lasagna, the vongole and the frutti di mare. The potato pizza is also really worth trying. The vanilla latte is also very good. They have convenient parking at the front AND at the back. They’re open all day so it’s perfect for a late lunch.

My fav Italian spot on the west side that has 2 dollar signs! Haha Came here twice this month already with the bf Bc I love hand rolled pasta Al limone — perfectly creamy and slightly tangy in a good way :) people complaining about it being to lemony… The word«lemon» is literally in the name of the pasta. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise. If you don’t like lemon, order the carbonara! Bolognese — solid, what you would expect for a good bologense and the hand rolled noodles made it so much tastier Risorgimento — perfect balance of tomato and cream :) I could probably go without the peas, but I’m not complaining. Again, with the hand rolled noodles, the sauce just soaks in Servers are all great. The second time the food came out really slowly though. The waiters caught onto this before I had to say something about it, which was nice. The receipt even said«faster please» in Spanish so I’m guessing they told the cook to please hurry through whatever system they use? Whatever happened, it was nice that they took the initiative and also bring us toasted bread non-stop with olive paste, butter, and olive oil while we waited haha Portions are not hugeeeee like c+o but good enough to fill you up! And you are paying for quality. Will be returning foshooooo. Limited parking, but street parking isn’t bad.

My friend and I ordered take out on a Saturday night. It was ready in 10 – 15 minutes. I got the tricolore salad and added chicken. I was happy with it. My friend got the pepperoni pizza. It was SOGOOD. Neither of us knew what to expect. Our expectations were exceeded. It made me regret trying to be healthy with my salad. I’ve also eaten in the restaurant a couple times. They’re so friendly there! I love it. And the prices are very reasonable.

Wow!!! Don’t pay attention to any negative reviews because I went with like 10 of my friends and all of us agreed the food was AMAZING! We all got different things, but I got the frutti di mare with cream sauce and it was A1!!! Will definitely be returning! Also tried a bite of the lasagna and it was so delicious! I want to order it next time! Service was fantastic, quick, and polite! Thank you to the owner who made our night great here :) Wow what a gem!

I remembered that I had been here before and decided to pay them another visit. The service is so-so. The owner tries to walk around and visit. However, you may have to get their attention if you need something at times. The risotto balls were good, but could have a little more flavor. A side of marinara makes it tastier. I recommend the Lisa –good vegetarian pizza. Prices are reasonable. They also have patio seating. Restaurant is located in a small shopping plaza with parking.

Wow !!! I found this place through of course Unilocal and based on their already superb reviews, I decided to come here. As soon as I walked in I was impressed: clean, beautiful and romantic ambience. The waiter(LUIS) with the mustache and shaved hair is the nicest waister I have ever encountered in my life !!! Customer service is beyond expectation !!! The minestrone soup is delicious and fresh! My PORTOFINO pasta was fantastic; flavors were bold and the salmon was nicely cut and fresh. I could not be happier with my experience here !! Will definitely come back again! Ask for Luis and the other young Hispanic server ! Their boss should give them a raise ASAP!

From the very first time me and my wife went there, we weren’t crazy about the food, or the service, it was ok, average to be generous. But after last night, we are definitely never ever going to this place again. Horrible experience, waiters don’t even speak English or understand what we were trying to ask, food took forever to get to the table, and when we finally got it, it was cold. Also, there came a very loud and annoying couple whom was sat next to us, mind you, this place is not exactly big Then the guy gets up and goes to his car to get these gigantic dogs and brings them to the dining table right next to ours, not asking whether we are ok with dirty stinking horse like dogs nosing over the dining table where people are eating, and the owner instead of asking if we were ok with dogs there, he proceeded to play with the Damn dogs right on the table making them agitated, what was supposed to be a pleasant family evening was ruined. Go somewhere else.

I just stopped by to see about their desserts and had the ugliest experience ever. The tall old over weight man with giant side burns was by far the rudest host ever! He slammed menus on the counter literally right next to my face(high counter) then a very sweet young Latin man started to help me with my questions about their tiramisu and the rude fuck pulled him away from me to help someone else and just left me there unattended! Wtf?! I will NEVER come here again, period. The food being«tasty and authentic» means nothing to me if the customer service is this despicable!

Beverlywood strikes out again. I want you guys to do better. This place is NOT for people that know good Italian food. I was excited to hear the owner was Italian. I thought I might get a good meal here. I was so disappointed. We usually go to Da Pasquale, but it was closed– so we searched for a suitable replacement. The reviews did not add up. The food was not good on many levels. The tables make it feel like a cafeteria. No butcher paper or table cloths. The restaurant was super noisy and Immediately Reminded me of a Farrell’s. They were blasting really bad organ grinder music which kind of echoed in the space. Anyone with sense would be offended and have the awareness to turn it off. We ordered soup, pasta and a pizza. The soup came immediately after the pasta which was weird. The soup was cold, watery and lacking flavor.(Lentil and zucchini) The bolognese was kind of sour and the pasta not impressive. The mushroom Alfredo was watery and lacking flavor. The potato slices on the Roma pizza were literally raw.(The herbs in the pizza were good, but the pizza was too salty) The bread was good. The olive tapenade was good. The beer was good. The waiter was kind. The tiramisu was not good, but probably acceptable to the same people that like AlGelato’s spaghetti. Al Gelato might be better than this and I loathe Al Gelato. I think the pizza could have been great if the potatoes were soft instead of crunchy and raw.

I’m from NJ/NY and very picky about my Italian food. Been here dozens of times and I’m never disappointed. The cracked pepper pasta is out of the world. They hand make their pastas and know so much about the wines they serve which is a make or break for me. The quattro formagio pizza is awesome. I’ve had great fish here as well and my husband’s tried all the meats on the menu and has yet to complain. His favorite is the squid ink pasta. The space is quaint and romantic, tucked in a little shopping center that you’d barely notice as you drive by. This is my favorite restaurant in my neighborhood, hands down.

I’m a fan of this place. The location is a bit odd(next to a laundromat), but the food and service have been great each time I’ve gone. The parking lot is small, but I haven’t had problems parking in the past. There’s plenty of seating, inside or outside, and lots of window seats if you want to people watch along Robertson. The calamari appetizer is really nice! The calamari was cooked well and the breading was just crunch enough without being overly greasy. The pizzas are good, especially the prosciutto. The pasta is all made from scratch and always reaches our table at the perfect«al dente» consistency. The sauces are all really tasty, too. The al limone is very lemony(hence, the name), so be sure you’re ready for that. My favorite pasta this far, though, is the Risorgimento. It has a nice red sauce, prosciutto and peas. The only thing I don’t love is that the peas taste like they were once frozen. The staff has always been friendly and accommodating to us — whether we’re dining in, picking up, or just passing time while we do laundry.

Honestly I don’t like leaving bad reviews for places because it makes me sad to have a bad experience that’s bad enough to leave a bad review but there you have it. I came here to eat dinner and the service was okay but the food was just awful. I had fettuccini Alfredo which in my opinion is hard to mess up. It’s not that difficult yet somehow the plate of food I had was terrible. First of all the pasta was way over cooked. Supposedly it’s high quality or homemade. But the pasta just tastes like it was microwaved(like Olive Garden) and then all that was on top was a watery butter or oil and Parmesan cheese. I asked about it and he said he would fix it and remake t. What I got was the same pasta with some«Alfredo» over it. Looked better but was even more overlooked and so bland. I had one bite and could t even eat the rest. The waiter could clearly tell I didn’t like it and didn’t even offer to fix it or get me something else or even apologize. It was a total waste of dinner and my money.

I really don’t understand what the hype is about. The pastas we had were nothing to write home about. Bland for my taste. We ordered the al Alforno and Boscaiola pastas. The pasta is supposedly fresh but didn’t taste that way — maybe it’s just homemade but tasted bland. The location and outside patio give the restaurant a small cozy feel. This is my second time here. I wasn’t impressed the first time and came back to give it another chance. Was not super impressed second time either. Service was fine. It’s a cute neighborhood place when you’re in the mood for average pasta dishes and don’t feel like cooking. We never tried their seafood pastas which might be what all the excitement is about. Or the pizzas…

We went there on Sunday night. No wait. Beautiful outside patio with the heaters. Food was amazing! We had spaghetti bolognese and rib eye steak with mushrooms. We finished it all! It was just right! Great sauce and perfect flavor! Can wait to be back to try other things. The only thing that stood out for us is that the service felt a lil rushed. It could be more personable. Other then that the place is a gem!

Bella roma is our favorite neighborhood Italian restaurant. It is very home-ie and rustic. Everything feels like it is from your own kitchen but much better tasting. There are always seatings available as it is a pretty big place. There are also patio seatings available. Parking is available in the lot which is always a plus. Service is nice and friendly and with the best corkage fee of $ 5 My husband’s favorite is the Tagliatelle bolognese which is a very simple pasta with meat sauce. The dish overall is very hearty and comforting. Our other favorite pasta include the bella roma which is Shrimp, clams, mussels, porcini mushrooms, marinara and linguini. My newly discovered love is Cioppino which is an amazing seafood soup(calamari, scallop, shrimps…) in white wine marinara sauce. The first time I ordered it, they forgot my fried polenta on top, however, I’ve had a few more time with the polenta and feel that it did not add anything. My only complaint is that the pizza is a bit disappointing. The crust was not crispy but a bit soggy. The flavor was not quite there and seem to be lacking some salt. I’ll definitely be coming back often for cioppino and pasta.

Cozze Marinara mussels was nice but too I felt it needed more seasoning. The gnocchi arrabiata was fresh but not spicy enough. The al porcini e truffle risotto was cooked perfectly and when it comes to truffle– what dish tastes bad with it? This was all washed down with a bottle of Terrazze Pinot noir and topped off with a chocolate lava cake(10 minute wait). The inside is nice but I prefer the patio(even it it faces the parking lot). Service was excellent– attentive but not over-bearing. This is definitely a Robertson gem.

I found this restaurant through Unilocal. My friend and I had been in the neighborhood and this was the place that sounded appetizing to both of us. When we went to this place it wasn’t busy at all. I love Italian food and was excited to try out this restaurant. I ordered the Bucatini al Amatriciana. My friend got the potato pizza and for desert we got the profiteroles. The bucatini was yummy. I enjoyed it :) However, I didn’t really like the potato pizza. I thought the potatoes were undercooked but my friend LOVED it. I guess it’s just preference but I wouldn’t get that pizza again.

Great neighborhood spot. My sister and I both ordered off their fresh handmade Tagliatelle menu. I got the bolognese and she ordered the Risorgimento(the one with prosciutto). Both were very very good. The bolognese was very comforting, while the prosciutto one had really good flavor. I could’ve swam in that sauce. We also ordered their pasta e fagioli soup which was super tasty and hearty. Good size and well stocked with veggies and al dente pasta. The tiramisu we ordered for dessert was the only slightly disappointing part of our meal. It wasn’t soaked enough, and tasted a little bit too much like chocolate from the syrup the drizzled. The service was very friendly, and parking wasn’t too hard to find. It was strange that they were playing Spanish speaking radio in the background. Not that I was expecting Andrea Bocelli or anything, but it seemed a little out of place. Overall I’d recommend to others, and I’d definitely come back when I’m in the mood for affordable Italian nearby.

We found this Italian Restaurant Unilocaling. I think Unilocalers are a little bit exuberant giving it 4.5 stars. I would give it 3.5 to 4, 4.5 avg. is a bit much. Don’t get me wrong – the food was very good. I had the scallop salad(see photo) and homemade pasta with meat sauce. Both very good. Where the place falls short is the bread. When you are eating a pasta and sauce meal – critical is to have great bread to dip and clean the plate. Their bread(see photo) was the worst tasting store bought or commercial you can imagine. Wonder Bread would have been better. I tried, but could barely eat it and it detracted from the enjoy-ability of my meal. I would have given them a 4-star if the bread was good. They chose to save $$ by dealing out cheap bread. And I know they can do better because we dine at other Italian places in the same price range and less that bake their own bread and it’s great. I would have paid extra for better bread if I had to – it’s important. Moreover, don’t give people the Olive bread dip without asking. Many folks hate olives like we do – it tasted gross but I know that Olive lovers would have a orgasm over it. We prefer a tomato based dip or just a great oil mix. I don’t usually factor service into rating, but our server was rough, unfriendly, and unhelpful. That’s fine – he won’t be there for long I don’t think. The scallop salad had 3 very tasty asparagus but why can’t you give 4? We had to negotiate the 3rd one – who gets it? And the scallops – they gave 4 the size of half-dollars and almost as thin. They tasted good, but for a $ 15 salad, I expected more. The greens and dressing excellent. Romance quotient: Go here with someone you know well already – romance quotient is 3 – 4 on a 10 scale. Both waiters attitude, atmosphere, and tables detract.
