Twist is dope. Everyone that works there always has a smile on their face and all of the food is good. Healthy. Def recommend it. Extra bonus if Spring rings you up. She’s the best.

I mean… the décor is nice and bright. And the salad I ordered was pretty good… but it’s really really REALLY hard to mess up a salad. First off, the woman who took me and my friend’s order gave us a really weird/rude vibe. Her answers were snippy and she had an attitude like she just did not want to be there at ALL. My friend’s bahn mi was extremely dry. The sauce(which I believe was sriracha mayo) couldn’t save it. The crowd is very… strange? Not the people themselves, of course. I’m sure everybody is wonderful. I’m just saying the mix of people is just all very different… which makes the atmosphere a little bit awkward. I’m not quite sure how to explain it… but I felt like everyone sort of felt out of place there. Or maybe it was just me.

Healty food is okay. But need more improve customer service. I found bad attitude who were cashiers. They were not really polite and kind. I would never visit again this restaurant.

I got excited at the thought of fresh-baked breads/pastries, and runny yolk. The hubby and I walked in and I immediately loved the décor. We arrived right in between the breakfast and lunch hours. It was clear that the breakfast rush was done, the place was getting wiped down and swept while condiments were being replaced/refilled on the tables. Clearly, the crew was winding down… and their plates reflected that. Dishes arrived with the components not quite with the flavor or texture they were supposed to deliver, and a key component of my dish(the aioli) was left completely off the dish. I was soooo looking forward to trying this place, but I don’t think I’ll be returning… at least not for a while.

Got the smoked salmon benedict and it was delicious! The latte was excellent too. The menu has a lot of variety for brunch, and if you’re into sweets, there’s a pastry case full of yummy looking tarts, cakes, and other treats. Cute décor. Wasn’t crowded when we came on a Saturday at 12pm. Yes, there’s parking on LaBrea, but beware if you’re approaching from the south — the Purple Line construction makes it impossible to turn north on LaBrea and surrounding streets.

Super overpriced for mediocre food. Came here for lunch with my parents and husband. Yes the food is healthy, but also very bland. There were messy tables everywhere and looked like the place was only being run by one cook and one waiter/cashier. –Salmon bowl($ 14) — Probably the best tasting dish. Salmon on a bed of quinoa and salad. Salmon was flavorful. –Chicken couscous bowl($ 12) — So bland and couscous tasted old(like its been sitting on the shelf for too long) I would never order this again. –Club wrap($ 12) — Wrap came with a side — we chose the kale salad. Any other sides would be an extra charge. Though I live walking distance, I would rather go to la brea bakery or sycamore kitchen.

The line at Republique was too long so my friends and I decided to check out Twist Eatery which was just down the street. Although it’s a typical brunch, I thought it was quite delicious. I had the breakfast burrito which was made with spinach tortilla and contained turkey sausage, egg, greens, and I don’t remember what else but it comes with potatoes(which I substituted out for brussels sprouts for $ 2 more) as well as salsa and ketchup. Their salsa is tasty. I was surprised the brussels sprouts were cold but I still thought they were good. My friend ended up dipping her potatoes into my salsa too. My friend had the biscuit sandwich which is similar to a croque madame but on a biscuit. I honestly prefer it on the brioche bread. She also had the kale salad which was very light, refreshing, and delicious! The dressing made it really tasty. My other friend had the salmon egg benedict. Benedicts taste the same to me everywhere, so I thought it was decent. Overall, I would come back and maybe try something else and their drinks. Parking isn’t too bad if you’re willing to walk a bit. There’s usually neighborhood parking.

Some places you go to and you just instantly like the vibe — Twist is one of those places for me. It’s not very big inside, but the setup flows well. It has sort of an industry loft feel(gray walls on one side, wood roof and then brick wall on other side). The Twist sign is on the brick wall and looks very cool. The place also has good natural lighting inside, but not too bright that you need to sit with your shades on. You go up to the counter to order your food, but they bring it out to you from there. I love their croissant egg sandwich with potatoes. Honestly, it’s the only thing I’ve eaten this far, which is bad, but I get like that sometimes. I’ll be trying something new going forward, but I love that sandwich. They now serve breakfast all day, but you can also order lunch, coffee and pastries. The weekend menu is a little different from during the week — more options added. This place offers very healthy food, so if that’s your thing, you will be in good care here. So they do offer more breakfast options on the weekend like the Soufflé pancakes and Mascarpone stuffed French toast, but I have yet to try either. Those are up next. Most people just stick to themselves and enjoy their food and company while in here. Occasionally, you’ll run into some chatty mean girl types having a hilarious conversation, but mostly it’s chill. Jen I believe is like an owner or manager & she is very sweet. I would recommend giving Twist a try. Good for friends, with a date or alone to just relax.

Had the turkey sandwich and kale slaw. But very good. To my surprise the kale slaw was excellent and I’m not a big fan of kale. Baked goods are worth checking out as well. It’s a nice neighborhood place to visit.

My daily routine is basically take a sweaty class at Modo Yoga LA and then walk over and get something yummy from Twist! Good life! I highly suggest the raw salad(add blue cheese!). So good!

I love the décor of this place – really digging the brick wall thing they have going on. I had such a hard time deciding what to get because I wanted everything on the menu. The food options here are the typical brunch dishes – omelettes, biscuit sandwiches, breakfast burritos, Paninis, but everything looked great. In the end I got the biscuit sandwich with a side of salad and my friend got the jalapeño cheddar biscuit sandwich with a side of potatoes. The food was indeed delicious! This place also sells a bunch of other pastries, cakes, pies, cold dishes, coffee. I think this would be a good study spot since it’s pretty quiet. Parking is street parking. I came on a Saturday and didn’t have trouble finding a spot just across the street.

This place has the worst vibes ever. It’s awkwardly quiet and run by two elitist brats. Not only do they have zero customer service acumen, but they are actually snobs. I was waiting for 10 minutes while the two proprietors struggled to package a single order. Meanwhile a customer actually stepped out of line and left. When I finally got to place my order the manner in which the co-owner addressed me was incredibly belittling… look honey, I may not be rocking a Van Cleef & Arpels necklace but that doesn’t make me any less of a person than you… It’s a shock to me how they are able to stay in business… maybe it’s the palatable food. Two stars only because they have somewhat decent pastries. But if you can, I suggest going somewhere else!!!

I had some blueberry pancakes(good), would have like the blueberries to be softer in the pancakes and the jalapeño biscuit w potato hash. It sounded and looked better than it tasted. I wasn’t expecting the jalapeño to be raw and burn my lips because the little slices had all their seeds. I was hoping for a pickled jalapeño.(Mind you my spicy tolerance is pretty high). The biscuit was yummy and buttery. It was okay, I probably won’t be back as I was not wowed.

Great food, I love that they have kale salad with their burger. Their biscuit sandwich was delicious, everything is yummy, the vibe of the café is cute. I’m able to walk here from home so perhaps people that drive need to find parking on La Brea but weekend mornings, parking is pretty chill. The staff here are always so kind. I love how the place is not filled with vibing hipsters even though it seems like a hip place. So glad you’re here :)

Came here for lunch yesterday and was pleasantly surprised to hear it was their 2 year anniversary. To celebrate they showered us with complimentary, delicious cookies and iced tea. The interior is fantastic! Very cool place to sit and drink coffee or in my case, enjoy a delicious lunch. Had the Jalapeño Cheddar Biscuit Sandwich with Kale Slaw and wow! The biscuit was freshly baked, the eggs were cooked to perfection and though there could have been more cheese and jalapeños, it was still sinfully tasty! I added bacon to my sandwich and wow! Completed it for me! The bacon was thick, smokey, and cooked to a nice crisp. I cannot write this review without mentioning the kale slaw. Kale is hit or miss for me, some places do it right, others fail. Twist does is perfectly! The kale slaw is glorious! The dressing was acidic yet had a hint of sesame oil and was balanced off with a subtle sweetness. The staff here were so warm and welcoming. My whole experience here was so good, I’m already planning my next visit. 2 yrs old and still going strong! Keep it up Twist!

First of all, they server Blue Bottle Coffee :) Came here for brunch over the weekend. Overall, I had a pleasant experience. Parking was easy(free meter parking on Sundays) I got the jalapeño cheddar biscuit w/potatoes. It was delicious, the biscuit was sooo flaky & buttery(I’m actually craving it as I write this review) Everyone was very sweet & service was quick. Definitely recommend this place. xo, Naomi
