RADIOLOGYDEPARTMENT UCLA Radiology: 100UCLA Medical Plaza, Suite 100 If you decide to go to this place, be prepared to encounter unprofessional. I’m very disappointed about this place and the terrible quality of job done there. As a patient who is already going through a lot of pain, this is what I had to go through on top of that. After I put the gown on, and about 45 minutes of my brain MRI with and without Contrast, and getting an injection for contrast(the gadolinium dye), I put on my clothes and left. About 10 minutes later when I was one the street my phone rang. The caller was the person who did the MRI! I was told to «Come back right away to have more MRI!!» The first thing that came to my mind was that is going to be a bad news, they must have found a life threatening cancerous tumor or something like that in my brain MRI. In one second I felt my heart stopped. The several long minutes that it took for me to get back there felt like the longest minutes ever in my life, like several hours. I was sweating and my heart pounding very fast, and very close to get a full-blown panic attack. When I got there and asked the two people who performed my MRI(a male perfumed the MRI an a female did the injection) about what was going on, they, with expression on their faces as if nothing has happened, simply told me nothing and that they had forgotten and missed to perform a part of my MRI!!!(«Just put yourself in my shoes at that moment.») The way that they said that was like that types of mistakes were not a big deal and were a normal routing that happens all the time there! Then I had to go through another MRI for about 30 minutes. Moreover, they said that this part(the missed part) of your MRI is also with and without contrast. How possibly could they perform the«Without Contrast» part, now that the dye is already in my blood?! I am not a professional, but what make sense is that it would be with contrast(dye) only and they had no option, but skipping the without-contrast part! «All in all, what a disappointment!» Think twice before going there.
