Vivian Brik Salon

Vivian has been my hair dresser for the past 6+ years and I have been VERY happy. She always takes the time to listen to how I want to style or color my hair. She is very patient and uses her experience to guide you so that you look the best you can. In addition to being a talented stylist, she is a wonderful person. I have referred friends to Vivian and highly recommend her!

Vivian is an exceptional stylist! She has been cutting, and occasionally coloring or styling, my hair since I moved to LA about four years ago. She really listens to her clients — whether I just want a trim and touch-​up on my layers, or recently when I went from long light brown hair to short, dark hair — she has always been thoughtful and given her professional, experienced opinion before moving forward (especially necessary when you’re making a big change!) For the quality of the cut, color or treatment, her prices are very reasonable — and the results are top notch! She’s also very sweet and personable, and always has free chocolate! (What more could you ask for?) I could not recommend her more highly!

Vivian Brik is the greatest! She is an excellent colorist & hairstylist and as always — love my hair! She always listens, keeps such great notes to what I like, that even if I don’t get to see her as often as I wish — due to hectic travel schedule, she always manages to bring my hair back to life the way I like it!

Vivian does the best hair in Los Angeles. She has done my hair for years and is now styling me for my wedding. The pictures I’m posting were taken eight hours after she did my wedding style run through and after I had to lay down on it for 20 minutes to get my eyebrows waxed– held up beautifully, she is the best!!!

Vivian Brik is a fabulous hairstylist! I have been going to her for years and I am always super happy with the way I look when I leave. I can’t imagine trusting anyone else with my color and cut. She always makes me look great! Her salon is so relaxing and zen-​like. I always feel like I’m getting a spa treatment when I’m there. Oh, and don’t get me started on her amazing scalp massages… I could fall asleep in her chair and wake up beautiful! She’s the best!

I’m SOOO HAPPY with Vivian! My hair is naturally wavy/​curly and after a few horrible cuts with a razor at another salon, my hair couldn’t curl for 2 years. I asked Vivian to cut my hair in a way that will make it curly again. And she DID IT!
I’ve been asking salons to cut my hair this way for so long and they could not get it right. 2 weeks after the cut, it still looks great! I’m super happy! She really listens to what you want and I couldn’t be happier!

Vivian is an absolute gem! From her glorious scalp massages that put me to sleep, to her quiet and relaxing salon, I leave VB each time feeling pampered and happy. Oh, and I should mention that my hair looks amazing too! Vivian has the ability to turn my tangled tresses into something that is red carpet gorgeous, which is no small feat. I’ve been to other salons with mixed, inconsistent results, but here I always know I’m going to look great when I leave. Thanks, VB!

I only get my haircut by Vivian! I’m a mixed male with curly hair that’s honestly a bit difficult to cut. I go to Vivian because she is very flexible and versatile when it comes to the spectrum of different styles and hair she can work with. I come in with my mom sometimes and she is able to color and style my mom and cut and style me in the same session is amazing. Also she’s just great company and it’s a plus that she has the Nicis studio in Salon Republic with the corner view of pico and the residential street. Yeah but the bottom line is I always leave with the perfect cut and that’s what really matters!

Having very fine, thin and difficult hair has been a lifelong challenge. She has been very successfully at handling my type of hair making it look thicker and lush; and she has a great touch with coloring and cutting. I feel satisfied that I get even more then I expect every time and walk out her door feeling completely renewed.

I was referred to Vivian’s Salon by a mutual friend, and it turned out to be an amazing experience. I have had horrible experiences in the past with going to salons and always left disappointed, hating my hair. Therefore, I have been coloring my own hair for awhile now and it has resulted with a lot of damage. My friend referred me to Vivian, I was a little hesitant but i took her word. I showed up to her salon and it was in a cute, well decorated, private, proffessional studio. She listened to my input and was very understanding with what i wanted done to my hair. It ended up turning out better than I ever expected. The color was perfect, and she trimmed and treated my hair and brought it back to life. I also got some great products to help continue to grow back and keep my hair healthy. I left Vivian’s salon happier than I have ever been at a salon. She was so sweet, funny, understanding and confident. I would recommend her to everybody, and say that this woman really knows what she is doing with hair and is passionate about it!! It was more then just making my hair look good, she wanted me to feel great about myself and I did !

I’m not kidding when I say that Vivian gave me the best haircut I’ve ever had! I bought the Living Social deal and gave her a try. So glad I did. Booking my next appointment now! I will be going to her for years to come. So glad I found a good haircutter. Goodbye Floyd’s!

About 8 years ago I started going to Vivian for my cut and color. I have curly hair and as all curly haired people know, it is hard to get the right cut. Vivian really takes the time to understand what you want when you go in there. She listens and discusses your expectations but also understands that everyone has different hair and suggests whats appropriate for you hair (based on your expectations).
I have been getting my hair not only cut but colored by Vivian as well. I have been stoped in the market by a random person me asking «Is that your natural hair color — its beautiful.» People constantly compliment my highlights (and lowlights) and say how natural and perfect they look! She spends so much time perfecting each strand!!!
I love Vivian so much that I convinced my boyfriend to go get a hair cut by her. My boyfriend wanted a hair cut that was low maintenance and was looking for someone who could also cut his hair with a style. After his first cut, he hasn’t gone to see anyone else! He regularly makes appointments with her (we even end up going together).
Along with my boyfriend going to see her, I had given her number to my best friend and told her she HAD to go get a consultation with Vivian. She, like my boyfriend, has now made Vivian her one and only stylist. My best friend loves how Vivian makes her hair look great, but also keeps in mind that she wants a cut and color that is low maintanence. She has never felt better about her hair!
So not only does my boyfriend and best friend go see her, my mother and grandmother both get their hair done by her! I know this is hard to believe, but i’m not joking! She is the best!!! My mom sees Vivian more than I do. Vivian can cut any age and any gender — all because she takes the time to really get to know what YOU want as a customer. I love being able to have someone take such good care of my close friends and families hair! Not only is she a wonderful stylist, she is a wonderful person and pretty easy on the eyes!
BRAZILIAN BLOWOUT!!!
I recently had the brazilian blowout treatment performed by Vivian and again, she never disappoints!!! I have curly hair and I always find myself annoyed with my frizz. The brazilian blowout is a dream. My hair has never felt softer and I don’t have to dread washing it, because it dries beautifull. y The back part of my hair is very thick and for the first time ever, it seems managable and tame. I love that she offers this treatment and that I trust that my hair is in good hands. The treatment was easy and effective and I am happy I finally tried it. My mom oringially had the blowout done by Vivian and couldn’t stop talking about how great it was. My mother and I know both have the blowout and couolnd’t be happier!
I promise Vivian will not diappoint.
