Passing thru the San Joaquin valley, stopped at this old fashioned drive thru on a corner. The best tacos! The menu is complete with all kinds of Mexican foods! They have it down! Very tasty! Is come again from Tempe, AZ!

This was an all-time favorite as a kid. The food was(and still is) great! The prices WERE affordable, UNFORTUNATELY, their prices have gone up so much, comparable to a restaurant, and their quantity has gone down. I.e. They used to sell 5 rolled tacquitos with rice and beans plate; now 3 tacquitos and the price went up! I bought two of the 5 rolled tacos plates and it was $ 18! When I asked why the girl seemed irritated. When I suggested to order different combos — which consisted of the same items for $ 4 cheaper, she was a little rude and irritated. On a brighter note, they now accept most major cards, which is great bc in the past it was just cash. I know this review may seem negative, but it is primarily directed toward their customer service and prices. As far as their food, it still is great quality!

San diego taco shop, located somewhere other than San Diego! The food was fantastic, the gal didn’t flinch when I asked for a ton of extra salsas. Typical for places like this is cash only, so make sure you bring some! There is a nifty little board game/comic book store in the same parking lot, so take a stroll into there while you wait. This location is also located across the street from the La Quinta. Overall the price, quality, and service were excellent and I will definently be coming back anytime I am in Los Banos again.

5 stars for a fast food taco stand We were just passing through wanting a taco. Stopped at this understated taco stand. Ordered 1 crispy beef taco and 5 rolled tacos. Our order came loaded with super fresh lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and salsa on the side. Every fresh, tasty and all around perfect! I hope we drive through here again!

I know the food is probably really bad for me, but when in Los Banos I have to stop here for tacos. I usually have two tacos anything more is almost unbearable. I’ve the rolled tacos, also a deliciously crispy choice topped with all the fixings. The last trip one of the people in our party ordered carne asada fries… this is enough food for like 4+ people alone! It’s insane, sorry I didn’t take a pic I was consumed with eating my tacos. Make sure to carry cash, no cards accepted.

I really like the Carne asada fries. They only take cash here though so make sure you go to the bank first

I have been wanting to try this place for some time but I always pay with credit and I rarely have cash on me. So I finally made it out to cotija to see what the fuss was about. I was disappointed, very very greasy tacos and they lacked flavor. I won’t be going back again.

We were on our way to northern California, when hunger struck us. Also, we needed to stop for gas. This place had good ratings so we decided to give it a shot. We’re suckers for Mexican food. Ordered their carne asada fries and braced myself for the oiliness that other patrons had mentioned. Our particular order wasn’t extremely greasy and I was pleasantly surprised by their carne asada. I kept eating and eating and probably gained a few pounds from it. I don’t regret it one little bit. I, however, was not a big fan of their fries. Their fries remind me of their ore ida crinkle fries. I’m just not a fan of steak fries or any type of fries that are thick. I like the crunchy factor of fries and this place didn’t have those types of fries. Their scoops of guacamole and sour cream are also not very well mixed in, but that can easily be fixed by you literally mixing it up so no harm, no foul.

Cruising back from dropping of my kid and some other to go hiking in Yosemite, pulled up Unilocal and stopped for a burrito. Got Carnitas — probably one of the best burritos I have ever had, and yes it was greasy — if you’re looking for a frou-frou nouveau cuisine burrito, don’t stop in Los Banos! HIGHLY recommended. Burrito was big, huge & delicious — really good carnitas.

This place serves the best Mexican food I’ve had in Los Banos. Very tasty and the portions are huge! The 3 stars are for the amount of grease that comes with your food(yuck!) and they need some training on how to wrap their morbidly obese burritos. The quesadillas we ordered were so delicious but the fact that it was DROWNING in grease made it hard to enjoy. The meat quesadilla comes with guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo… yum! The burritos are so good but again, the grease dripping thru the bag before we even get our food home makes it hard to enjoy.

Carnitas tacos were excellent, covered in guac. If you’re driving through(up or down I5) and want a sort of halfway point between SF and LA, this is a good place to hit for a quick bite. I saw people ordering burritos and they were huge. Oh — theres a comic book shop in the same plaza.

Stop on the way up north. Just wanted some solid tacos. These here are huge. Normally come with beans, rice, cheese and meat which is great but I always have them add the good stuff. Quality food and the sizes are really good. Meats always tasty, to bad they ran out of pastor I really wanted a burrito with it. Price is real good too. Definitely stop if you want some good Mexican and are hungry

We ordered a chorizo taco(chorizo was over cooked, in little burned bits) but with excellent avocado salsa. The chile relleno burrito was fantastic(we said no rice) as was the shrimp tostada. It’s not very relaxing to sit there and eat on a busy street, but it’s all so good it is worth it. We were camping over at Basalt campground at the San Luis Reservoir, and after visiting the San Luis National Wildlife Refuge and seeing the tule elk, we stopped here to eat before heading back to camp.

I was really hoping to eat here again but was a bit disappointed today due to the lack of flavors with the taco meats and toppings. Ordered carnitas, pastor and cabeza. All meats were tender but really lacked spices. They all tasted bland with almost no toppings on the tacos other than the carnitas with added guac. Last time all of the tacos were loaded with toppings and they were so tasty! The price also went up a bit to $ 1.99 + tax per large taco, which is only a slight increase and not a big deal except I had expected the same consistency with the food but didn’t get it this time. Too bad…

It looks like a shack, but this place is tasty. They have carne asada fries, which was good considering how much they pile on. I also had their large tacos. It’s 2 bucks, and I’m normally accustomed with tacos less than 2 bucks, but turns out they weren’t joking about how large the tacos were. Very big, very good. I had tripe and carne asada. Tripe was a little grainy, but carne asada was great. Don’t forget to try a fish taco also.
