Papa Murphy’s

We always seem to have a great experience here. The store is always clean, the staff is pleasant and the pizza is always delicious. The chicken, garlic and artichoke pizza with white sauce is the best pizza in town. We very much prefer Papa Murphy’s pizza over the other pizza places in town. Me-​n-​Eds being second.

This place consistently screws up orders. It’s unbelievable. I don’t eat here often, but when I do, there’s usually some hassle.

The pizza is very good, really does taste fresher because of cooking it at home right when you eat it — but the reason I’m writing this review is because of one particular employee’s great service — Paul. I went in to arrange to bring pizza to Pacheco High School where I teach (go Panthers) to celebrate the end of the year with my students. No pizza places were open early enough for the time we needed it, so I was going to get it the night before and bring it in to bake. Being the end of the year, I had a million things to do. Without my even asking about delivery, (I had given up on that idea) Paul volunteered to bring everything over to school for us at 9:30 (before they are technically even open), helped me figure out how to get the best variety of goodies using a coupon, advised me concerning high schoolers’ likely favorite choices among their sodas, and was so upbeat and cheerful about it all I didn’t even feel tired by the time I left the store. And everything was so good! Including the dessert pizza with marshmallows, believe it or not. So Papa Murphy’s is very good — and there are lots of choices and different ways to go which is great– and Paul’s service was exceptional!

delicious pizza. best bang for your buck. Downside, a couple of employee’s are pretty dumb. Shouldn’t need a calculator to figure out that someone gets $ 9 change paying for an $ 11 pizza with a $ 20 bill… but that’s what just happened. Still great pizza regardless.

Disgusting and always gives me heartburn. Plus you have to cook it yourself which is time consuming. You get what you pay for here!

We love the Cowboy and the Murphy’s Combo. The staff is very friendly and always make sure the pizza’s are loaded with toppings.

Very good pizza! The only draw back for me is it’s «take-​n-​bake».

I always believed that the «Chicago Style» pizza was always the best damn pizza for the price. Sure enough, you can find «Better» pizza elsewhere but the price can not be beat =]! 4 Stars for a great pizza place and for the memories!

As far as pizza goes papa murphy’s is always gonna give you the most bang for your buck. You just have to cook the pie yourself. When I was growing up here in Los Banks we used to buy the pizza here and run them through the round table pizza oven instead of cooking them at home. Hands down one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had when you do that.
Of course round table pizza is no longer open in Los Banos, so that option isn’t available. It was great while it lasted though.
Cooking them at home can yield mixed results, but that depends on how well the cook can follow directions.

For the price/​size, you cannot beat Papa Murphy’s. Granted, it’s a take and bake, so you have to cook it, but at least you can have the crust as light or dark as you want. But the best part is that Papa Murphy’s pizza has way less calories/​fat than other local pizza places.
I always order either the Chicago stuft pizza or the grilled chicken and bacon stuft pizza. Usually for the family size pizza, it’s around $ 10 with a coupon, or $ 13.99 without the coupon.
