Stopped here a few times for a café stop during my bike rides… Pretty bike friendly spot which can hard to find in Los Gatos… There’s a patio with outdoor seating and they serve Verve coffee… :)

Great asset to the community and especially for those who live on the east side of town. If you are visiting, Café Dio is situated next to must see town landmarks like the beautiful Los Gatos High School and Hotel Los Gatos. Coffee and food is outstanding quality.

This spot is right next to my church and I am always in need of coffee and a snack after our music rehearsal and before the service starts so that’s how I first stumbled into Café Dio. Now, I just love the lattes and I’ll make up any excuse to go in there. I have also tried the ricotta toast and the homer wrap. Both are really delicious. I really like the vibe here and the food and drinks are great!

I’ve been here a few times. It’s close enough to work, so I can stop by in the mornings. The décor is nice(except that series of four drawings on the wall. Looks like the product of a mandatory high school art class.) There isn’t that much seating, but if you go there before the high schoolers get out, you’d typically be able to find a place to sit down. Also, free wifi! I think they really need to look into training their baristas better. While they’re really friendly people, the quality of their espresso drinks varies depending on who makes it.(If it’s a youngun’, there’s a 50⁄50 chance that it’ll be okay.) My major grievance is with the drip coffee. It’s bad. I don’t know what they do to make Verve bad… but it’s not good.(I’ve tried their drip twice, thinking that the first time was a fluke, but no. It’s bad. It was the 1950, by the way. I believe it was their Buena Vista the other time, and that was also very bad. And as a person who actively buys from Verve, I know that the 1950 is capable of being a decent, daily cup of morning brew.) I’m excited that they’re a new coffee shop in Los Gatos, but some things need to be worked on.

My wife and I love the Verve in Santa Cruz, and thus place has their coffee! The atmosphere is modern clean. There’s not a lot of space for studying, but it’s the perfect place for a quick stop.

Checked out this place after a hike on the trail. I had past by it a few times and thought I would stop in to check it out. Prices were higher than expected but that’s okay as long as the coffee and food is good right? Vanilla latte was horrible, I threw it out. Blueberry muffins are always good. Had something that was similar to a blueberry wow not good. The location of this establishment is good but everything else, I would suggest Phili’s coffee. Soo Good, Phili’ way with a big oat bar is the way to go.

Terrible service here and no barista skill. Top café pricing and the place looks the part of a hipster shop but amateur skill in pulling espresso and no sight of any latte art. Overpriced pastries. Don’t be fooled, go to b2/bellano or other serious joints.

Such a cute café. Very refreshing. There aren’t the coffee LG dwellers here(yet). They have pastries and food. At lunch time beware all the high school kids hang out there. On the weekends this place is a breath of fresh air.

I want this place to be a 5 but I have mixed reviews. The first visit was early on, when they soft opened and it was disappointing. Coffee sub-par and limited food items. I don’t think they were fully setup yet and was encouraged to go back. When I did — latte and Homer Wrap were **AMAZING**. Homer was moist, fresh and flavorful. Good service, friendly staff. Today during my visit, latte was still amazing — but the Homer was dry and lacked robust flavor. Perhaps it’s the way they are keeping the hot food warm all morning, is it drying out? Staff super friendly and speedy. Aside from that my own personal peeve is when a stranger calls you«my friend». Like«here you go, my friend» while passing a hot drink. A bit fake. But I can tell they are really trying to please customers and have good intentions(and staff seem happy and proud), so I will make my 3 star a 4.

Honestly, I wanted to like this place, but the coffee is just sub par; it tastes like it belongs in the lobby of a motel 6. I also had a wrap and it was pretty good, but a bit expensive. They clearly are aiming for highschool students who want a cup of coffee in a convenient place before school, and it shows.

I love coming here on sleepy morning and enjoying the coffee and pastries. They did a great job with the décor and ambiance. They kept the menu simple to ensure what they serve is fresh and tasty. I heard the city made them remove the original seating plan on the patio, which is too bad. Café style street seating out would’ve been so cute.

I was at the Christmas parade, and tried to Unilocal this spot but they were so new they didn’t have a profile yet. Good to see people are frequenting this place. I like to support small local business– and I was happy to see a new coffee shop on the block. Across the street from its mother restaurant(possibly the best Greek restaurant in a 100 mile radius). The baked goods are great– spanakopita is a solid mid day snack when out and about with the kids. I like the outdoor seating– it’s unique and good looking. Inside has this… Wine barrel center area. Hard to describe but it looks good. Location. Location. Location.

Happy after trying this little gem, especially after One bite of the egg breakfast croissant… I new where the croissant came from… Manresa Bread! Lucky that our LGHS students have this available as an option for breakfast, lunch, and after school before sports, etc.

Great coffee and food, but no good seating area — a few stools, I wish they have a couch etc…

Great new café in Los Gatos serving Illy coffee. Two suggestions: add gluten-free goodies and serve guests in «real» cups(not paper).

I am excited about Café Dio! It’s a small new coffee & sandwich shop that’s easily accessible from the Los Gatos Creek Trail near downtown Los Gatos. The location is perfect! Walk inside and you’re greeted by a modern and welcoming interior with plants, unfinished wood, and a dark colored modern coffee shop feel. The staff was very friendly and chatted with the barista. The coffee was good but the barista said they are trying to switch from Illy(ick) beans to something local like Blue Bottle.(I say they should use Barefoot!) The food sounded good but was wrapped in to-go style plastic wrap and just didn’t look very appealing. Another minor gripe is they didn’t have much seating inside or out. They said this is another issue they’re working on and is due to zoning. If Café Dio can get more seats, have better presentation of their pre-prepared food, and start using local beans(there are so many good local roasters) then this place would easily be a five star establishment. I’m excited for the future of Café Dio!

Café Dio is a small cozy café with great coffee, tea and pastries, free wifi, next to LGHS and Dio Deka.
