I have been going to DeWayne’s for hair for at least 15 years. Originally I went to him because he is so good at color, but he has seen me through to now grey hair and probably the best hairstyle ever, I get the most compliments!
Susan has done skin work on my teenage son, she is very sensitive and kind and great at what she does.
It is a small, pleasant salon with great people at the helm, they feel like family. In fact the lovely family Lab often comes to work, she is sweet and polite and if you don’t like dogs, you won’t know she is there. But if you DO like dogs it will be an even nicer experience to share some dog joy.

Melonie is the absolute best to go to for extensions!
I had previously only had full braid extensions in the past, and she recommended and put braidless extensions in my hair for the first time.
My hair and head feels so much lighter, and it looks great! If you’re even thinking about getting extensions call her for a consult and take her advice!

I am so happy to be back in the Bay Area because that means I can go to Susan again! I never thought I could say I’ve had a relaxing wax appointment, but that is exactly what I had this past Saturday. She is very careful and precise and I don’t need to take any Advil before her appointments. A friend recommended her to me probably eight years ago and I went to her while I would be home during the summer from college. When I moved back to the area a few months ago, I immediately made an appointment with her. I couldn’t believe she remembered me! I highly recommend Susan!

I have been going to Dewayne’s Salon for over ten years and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. The salon is located in a very charming part of Los Gatos.

TIP: The salon’s location is perfect for taking a window shopping excursion after your cut and color, as it is located in downtown Los Gatos. Lots of restaurants and shops to browse in and out of.

This review is based solely on waxing, since that’s the only service I’ve had done here. Susan does the best waxing I’ve ever had. It is the least painful and the least awkward of anywhere I’ve been. She is very friendly and makes me feel comfortable about this not so comfortable procedure.
