I love hobees, food is great. This is the best place for best breakfast.

This place is OK. It is not a fine-dining experience or a vegan retreat, but it is clean, the service is friendly and they have veggie meals(and apparently catered to veggie people way back when). I love food. I went here because my friend has some nostalgia around youth spent eating their incredibly sugary coffee cake — which I have had since I became vegan. Their veggie menu is basic, but stable. I pretty-much get the oatmeal.

We came to breakfast/lunch here exactly a week ago. We were seated right away even though they were really busy. I really enjoyed their food and I will for sure come here again if I’m in the area. I ordered breakfast(even though it was lunch time) strictly because I wanted the delicious looking blueberry coffee cake that came with it. Not only was it delicious looking but it tasted amazing too. My breakfast also included eggs,(I like them over hard, in case you are wondering) chicken sausage, and hash browns. Everything was really good. My Mom, boyfriend and Grandma also really enjoyed their lunch. They also have this really good Cinnamon Orange tea that you can get hot or iced. I had it iced. Sooooo good! I also bought some loose tea to bring home, we have an ice tea maker. Our waitress, I believe her name was Patricia or Patrice was really attentive and always made sure we were happy and our drinks were filled. Thumbs up, guys!

We came her for Mother’s Day Brunch and they did not have an hour wait! We were seated right away and had yummy pancakes, scrambled eggs, and sausage. The Twins shared my fodd with me and loved their food! Folks kept coming by saying how adorablel they were and the Twins did well hanging out there so if you have kids under 1 the place to go. Kids also eat there free on Wednesdays! Service was prompt and they brought me out a Chocolate covered Strawberry for Mother’s Day which rocked and tasted YUMMY! Prices were very reasonable and we had a great time!

We tried Hobees for the first time last night. I loved it! I had breakfast for dinner(breakfast served all day) I had eggs, country potatoes, and coffee cake. Side of veggies too. My daughter had French toast, fruit, and country potatoes. Everything was fresh and prompt service! Our server Daniel was very attentive and even brought me a no charge coke when I had forgotten to order it to go before I left. I offered to pay for it multiple times. What lovely service! Oh, and kids eat free with each paid adult on Wednesday’s! Minus a star because I had to loop the horrid parking lot at least 5 times before I got a spot and this was at like 7 pm on a tues!!!

I LOVE hobees! I host a meeting on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday every month at Hobee’s Los Gatos and our service is amazing. Love their breakfast and of course, everyone loves their Coffee Cake. We are so fortunate to have Carlos as our waiter at every meeting. He helps make the meeting run so smoothly. WE just adore him!

The coffee cake is the ONLY good thing left of this once wonderful gourmet vegetarian restaurant! Bread was cold, sandwich was not good and the soup seemed as though it was fresh out of a can. I’m very disappointed.

Nice place for breakfast. They have a good selection and everything I’ve tried is tasty. The thing that makes this place stand out though is the coffee cake. Specifically the blueberry coffee cake, served warm with butter on top. It’s just so darn good. It’s served as a side with many of the entres. Eat it first.

Just discovered today that one of the dishes Hobee’s specializes in is Hash Browns! There are four different varieties. I had the Mama Papas and it was terrific. Turkey Bacon, Spinach, Mushrooms, Cheese, and optional Egg Topper! Thank you Hobee’s. Service, 4 Stars. Coffee, 4 Stars. Hash Browns, 5 Stars. Toast, 4 Stars. Omelets 4 Stars. Can’t wait to return to try the other specialty hash browns.

Free wifi, breakfast is good, its kinda like an old diner, but it works. My auto place is walking distance so I drop off my car and walk over here with my lap top. Food isn’t bad and as always the coffee cake is the bomb!

The wife and I came here for lunch after buying the groupon several months ago. Her Mendocino Chicken Sandwich(on ciabatta) was reportedly good and my Los Altos Quesadilla was wonderful though the side of rice and beans was awfully small. We also ordered one of the special hash brown dishes. Note that the potatoes are more of a country style than the shredded hash brown type but were very good. Service was excellent and attentive. After gulping my first coke before our order was taken the waitress(also the manager) came back with a refill and a carafe full for the table. Minus one star for the dated interior. Some booths had ripped or cracked seats. It is a little bit of a drive from our area but I’d return even without the groupon.

Date of Visit: 06÷25÷11 @ 1045AM(ish) We’ve been coming to Hobee’s for a few years. Used to be the Baker’s Square(Ahhh, French Silk Pie!); but the conversion was pretty good. The service was fine. The food, although not haute cuisine, it’s fine. The one pleasant surprise had been that they don’t serve fries with their sandwiches, fresh-made(?) chips instead. Price-wise, about what you’d expect — a little pricier than Denny’s, however: 2 Sandwiches, 1 Omelet, 1 Coffee and 2 Sodas — all in all $ 37.00 for 3 people(plus tip).

They serve your typical breakfast meals, omelette s, pancakes, etc. THey also have sandwiches and burgers. Why do I like Hobee’s? It’s not because they have the best, unique, and appetizing dishes… it’s because they have the BEST coffee cakes EVER!!! I believe they serve coffee cakes with all their breakfast dishes. If you like breakfast meals like me and if you LOVE coffee cakes like me then you have to try out Hobees. This location is like any of their other locations. It’s got the old school vibe(seating, tables, menu’s, etc). A little better looking then your typical Denny’s etc.

Upon completing a 199 mile relay, my van load of runners were ready for breakfast. We came down Hwy 9 from Skyline Blvd into Saratoga then to Los Gatos, and lo and behold, I spotted Hobee’s. There used to be one in Emeryville that I ate at on many occasions, so I decided this is where we’re eating. Drove right into the parking lot, and went inside. On the sideboard, there’s a huge plate of their signature coffee cake for tasting. The seven of us were seated immediately in the adjoining dining room. First thing we noticed is the $ 3.00 mimosa so we order that to toast our successful relay endeavor. Everyone ordered a different breakfast item and we all chowed down. If you decide on a side of the coffee cake, you’ll eat a huge square. I got the blueberry coffee cake and I got a 3×3 square with a dollop of butter atop it. Service was quick and efficient.

$ 3 mimosas on Saturday and Sunday at THIS location only! Choose from Guava, Passion Fruit, Orange or by special request, cranberry. TRYTHEGUAVA! YUMMY!!! The food is decent, not great but not horrible. In my opinion, their blueberry coffee cake makes up for anything lacking from any other dish. I had the tamale pie with eggs. It was good– my only complaint was too much cheese!!! Next time I would order it with light cheese. My boyfriend had the french toast sandwich, which is difficult to screw up. The french toast may have been slightly above average compared to some of the other breakfast places we have tried. The service was quite slow given how empty the restaurant was when we were there so make sure you are not in a hurry if you go.

I don’t see a reason to rate this place below 3… or a reason to rate it above one. The food is decent, service OK, prices… OK. You get the idea. Better exists but I wouldn’t be dissuaded from visiting here again.

This was my second experience here. My first was eating breakfast that I remembering being good and the service being… acceptable. Yesterday we went here for lunch. Long story short– the food saved this review. I had a chicken sandwich with tomato, lettuce, jack cheese and roasted mushrooms. It was delicious. You could choose a side. The choices were black bean chili, chips, or fruit. Since we ordered cokes earlier and for some reason, came with a piece of melon– I opted for chilli as the melon was not that great. I also found it strange that they’d give you chilli OR chips, not both together. The service was Ok but needs help. The initial girl who sat us, was friendly enough and pretty good. However, our waiter that we got was rude, inattentive, got my order wrong(which if i think he did prior said would have not happened), it was all around disappointing but the food was food and the only thing saving the whole experience from being horrible. We ended up having to just walk up to the register before we left to pay because after waiting 20 + minutes, we had it. At the very end, we saw him bring the check up to the girl helping us at the front. Barely. Honestly, we tipped to be nice but I don’t even think it was deserved much less earned.

I’ve been to a Hobees once, it wasn’t terrible but I remembered thinking I wouldn’t be going back. So I came here with some friends for a Sunday breakfast and was kind of surprised. The service was quick, we were seated promptly. Throughout brunch our server was attentive, friendly and overall great. The décor isn’t anything special, it’s your typical diner/denny’s. Definitely not romantic, not cozy and nothing amazing — but it was clean, kept up and nice enough. I had an omelet that was surprisingly good. Really fresh ingredients, great blend of flavor and overall I was really happy. The amount is good, on the big side so you will not go hungry. The prices were just right with the quality and amount. The hash browns were more like home fries and not as awesome. I hardly touched them. Toast was standard. While I wouldn’t got out of my way to come here, I wouldn’t ‘not’ come here now.

I went in with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised by this family style diner. I remember this used to be a Baker’s Square restaurant not more than a year or two ago. We went just before the lunch rush on our way to SJ airport for an afternoon flight. I had the Charlie’s Tuna Tomato Melt with Gouda on ciabatta bread with chipotle mayo, and a friend had the Cupertino Club Sandwich. Both of our sandwiches were really good – and I’m a hard sell when it comes to diners. I really liked that they serve chips; that’s different from the usual fries. Everything else was just fine – the service was ok, the men’s restroom was clean(I admit: I only used it to wash my hands), and we got in and out in time to catch our flight.
