My favorite place to stop by in Los Gatos! Jack Rose is a very cool bar pretty isolated from the downtown Los Gatos. It is a very large venue with outdoor seating both in front and in back! But most people choose to stay indoors, especially during the colder seasons. Jack Rose offers a lot of specialty cocktails with a ton of creativity to please any kind of drinker. They are also constantly experimenting with new drinks as they have a seasonal menu of drinks that come and go. One of my favorites is the signature Jack Rose cocktail. All of their cocktails are pretty reasonably priced at about what you’d expect for a quality cocktail. They also have fantastic food here as well. Just a note, if you do get the tater tots, they’re a bit different from the ordinary. I would describe them as almost hush puppy textured. They’re very flavorful and I enjoyed them! Overall, this place is a fantastic place to socialize and drink with a group of friends. The place is very relaxed. The inside can get a little noisy when its busy. Also, it can be difficult to find seating at night if the outdoor areas are closed. But it is a fun place to be.(PS: Watching the Los Gatos locals get a little too drunk can be entertaining here, but never out of control) For instance, the Los Gatos housewife who dropped a glass(to which everyone heard and saw) and tried to play it off like nothing happened.

Great place, but if you go in a group, they will only let you split between 2 cards. Whaaat??? Such a pain in the ass.

I rate this 3.5 stars. Drinks: 4 stars. The drinks were good. I really enjoyed all of it. Their best one is probably Jack Rose. I would try all of them if you can by having everyone order one. I took a star off because service got really slow when more customer came. They only had 2 bartenders working and had issues keeping up with the demand of the drinks. Food: 3 stars. The food was okay. It definitely has potential to become good. The main issue we found was that the food was under seasoned. We asked for salt(they gave us sea salt) and added that to some of the food and it was really good. Mushroom Pizza — topping was amazing but was under seasoned. we added some salt to this and it became a good pizza. House Ground Burger — tasted like a steak cheese burger. it lacked that freshness you usually need in a burger. did not come with lettuce, tomatoes, or onions. Charcuterie Platter — this platter was well done. the bread that it came with was amazing. House Tots — more like a hushpuppy, not as potato-y like tots are but pretty good.

I really wanted to like this place. Sadly, I did not. We arrived for brunch around 12:30 and there were no lines, only a few tables with customers — not a good sign for brunch. The service is friendly, but young. We ordered the cornmeal cake, the«benny» and the chicken tinga. The cake was AMAZING. I would even go back just for the cake. The benny was luke warm and the hollandaise was watery. Shame, because the muffin was one of the best I’ve ever had with Eggs Benedict. The chicken tinga was also tepid. The presentation was nice, but the flavor was so-so. Not spicy enough for my taste and it just seemed like the chicken did not stew long enough with the other ingredients to really come together. The room itself is so cool. We will probably give it another try sometime and maybe stick with french toast or pancakes and definitely that cornmeal cake with blueberries.

The cocktails here are MMMMMM good. Best version of a Moscow Mule I have ever had. The cocktails are super creative and I love their names as well. Friendly staff provided excellent service, and the ambiance is just superb. I wish the night wasn’t so cold so we could sit outside on the patio to enjoy our drinks, but inside was just as good. Definitely coming back for more!

This place is really great. The cocktails are imaginative, and tasty, the ambiance is great, and the food is delicious as well. The service has been a high point each time I’ve been. The servers are very friendly, well-spoken, and genuinely seem to enjoy what they do! Thank you!

Great drinks, great bartenders. Didn’t get too much service, but we sat outside so maybe that’s why?

I like this place. I don’t love it but it certainly is likable. This place is good if you are into cocktails. I had the Tupelo Honey and there was nothing sweet about it. It was definitely a drink where you can taste the alcohol. They also have a good beer selection although it was not listed on the menus. As for the food, it was ok. We had the meatballs, fried cauliflower, and house made sausage pizza. Everything was good but nothing made me feel like I had to come back. We came on a rainy day so there wasn’t the option to sit outside, and the place was pretty full. We were a group of 4 and had problems finding some where to sit. For that reason, I probably wouldn’t come with a large group unless I came super early.

What a great addition to the South Bay… and Monte Sereno/Saratoga at that. Way to take a boring space and transform it into a lovely little gem of a place. Whether you’re here at night just for drinks or you come to eat, Jack Rose offers quality, artisan cocktails and food. My favorite drink is the Jackalope(if you don’t like, cantaloupe… it should be a hard pass for you, but if you do, you’ll love it). Their kale salad is my personal favorite, but their pizzas and appetizers are also great. My favorite thing about Jack Rose? Brunch in their beer garden. We came here with a group of 30 and while it was a little challenging to fit us all at first, it totally worked out. The only reason I’m shaving off a star is because the drinks are on the pricier side, but mostly because they usually seem to be busier than they’re ready for. Nothing they can’t figure out and make better though.

I’ve come to Jack Rose several times now for drinks at night, but sadly never for the food. The outside patio looks beautiful at night with all the lights, but also looks like a great spot for brunch(which is what they are famous for). I came back here again at night for drinks and again I was sad that we ate beforehand because everyone else’s food looked incredible. Our first round took ages to arrive, so we wanted to try to beat the system and ordered our second round immediately when our drinks were served. Well, that backfired because our second round arrived just a few minutes after our first round was served. Oh well, that just means we have something to look forward to. Probably made us look like alcoholics with all the drinks out at once, though. I personally enjoyed The Call of the Wild and the Toasted Barrel, but all of our drinks were made well and that’s something I always expect from here. Hopefully I can eventually try their brunch or eat dinner here, though. One day…

I came here with brother and my partner after the craziness of Christmas celebrations on a Saturday evening. First of all the place wasn’t hard to find. If you put into your gps you’ll be fine. Also, there’s a huge sign for it as well off the road. If it wasn’t so cold, I would have loved to sit outside on the front or back patio, it was beautiful with the light on the trees. The inside was a little more darker than I thought it would be from the photos, however still it was chill. It had a hipster cabin theme going on. It’s a self seating place with not a ton of room, but a good amount. I could see how on an average Saturday evening(when not a holiday weekend) this place could be crowded and we would have to wait. We were greeted immediately with menus from our waitress. We were too full unfortunately to try out the food(but I’ll be coming back to try out the shishito peppers and pretty much everything else). We got the cocktails Call of the Wild, the seasonal punch, Toasted Barrel, This Side of Paradise, and the Whiskey Smash. I think the only drink we wouldn’t order again(which was mine) was the This Side of Paradise… it tasted too much like a pink lemonade. I like my drinks sometimes on the sweeter side, but it was a little too sweet. We agreed that the Toasted Barrel was probably the best drink with the roasted cinnamon stick– pumpkin flavors and spices. I loved the seasonal punch! Not sure what was in it, but it was tasty! The only complaint we had that night was that though we ordered quickly, it took FOREVER to get our first round of drinks. There were three people behind the bar and at one time no one was doing anything. Our waitress even looked a little bored. I think she may have forgotten and then put in our order. We figured that we would put in our second order once we got or first round in case we had to wait again, but I think to make up for the lack of timeliness of the first round, our second round came out minutes later. Also, I definitely want to come back and try the brunch!

I came here for a friend’s birthday celebration. The location is a bit far for us and it’s sort of out of nowhere. It’s surrounded by a bunch of expensive houses but I must say the layout and concept is awesome. I wish we had more bars like this closer to DTSJ. This restaurant/bar looks like a house with a nice backyard(back patio area.) The back area would be so awesome to hang out during hot summer nights. It’s so cute with games, tables, and a fireplace. The drinks are pretty good here. I had the whiskey smash and it was so good. You can barely taste the alcohol. Though, the cup is mostly ice so you barely get much of it. The food: what we ordered(mushroom pizza with added sausage) was amazing! Nice and crispy crust. My friend’s burger was not that great. The bun got soggy real quick and the fries were not crispy enough. The roasted artichoke was also just alright. Nothing special.

Great vibe, fun crowd — all ages(not super young thank goodness) — maybe young 30s all the way up! :) I had the jack house punch — kinda spicy/sour but still tasty. The Kentucky buck is reallllly good(on the sweeter side which I like!). Of the two, I’d probably get the Kentucky buck again. Fifty shades is also really good. The drink… And the book haha. Came in at 11pm — Found out that the kitchen closed at 10:30. Darn. Food sounds good — will have to try it out next time!

This is a great spot to come to on a warm summer night. Last year it was all about food trucks and this year it has been about live music on the outside patio space and casual eats– or inside for a cooler setting with great food. We ordered a selection of craft cocktails and food and had a really fun girls night out. It is a bit far for me to frequent regularly now, but I always enjoy it when I visit my friend’s in the South Bay. LOVE the pizza and the apps and the inventive drinks.

Jack Rose is one badass bar! Hidden away off in Los Gatos — apple maps will take you to the wrong route by the way, use google maps. This bar is legit! The spacing is huge and the bar itself is very quick. Great drinks selection and nice bartenders who are also quick. I definitely enjoyed this place and their drinks. Their employees are alll super nice and super accommodating. Definitely a great way to spend a Friday night with family and friends. Whiskey Smash — Enough said!!!

Our first evening in South Bay and we were told that Jack Rose Libation House was a Fave of our tour guide. We decided to follow per direction and drove up a suspucious mountain late in the evening that can easily trick the mind. Narrow road paired with sinister laughter, your bound for a perfect Scary story! When we finally found the cabin like lounge, we noticed the beautiful lit tree. I was instantly excited! The insides of the bar house was an even more exciting eye sore. I loved every thing about this place from the bathroom to the different book birds hanging around the bar. The drinks itself was all very delicious, the great part about coming with a group you can get a nice taste of everyones drink! I personally enjoyed the manhatten a lot, as it was their signature drink! We did come late in the evening so kitchen was closed so we didn’t get to sample any of the food. Overall its def worth a visit!

Jack Rose has been on my list for years ever since the first Unilocal Elite event took place here and I wasn’t able to attend. Finally some of my friends decided to catch up and chose this spot because none of them had been either. Such a cute spot! It’s located off Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road and you could easily mistake it as a sign for a lodge and drive past it, so be on a careful lookout. Plenty of tables on the patio in front of the bar, a couple of smaller tables inside, and lots of bigger tables in the back patio, plus corn hole. My friends and I decided to have our drinks outside so that we could have easy access to corn hole. All in all a great night, minus the fact that they seemed pretty understaffed with only one or two bartenders on duty at any given time. I’m disregarding it by giving them a 5 star still because they probably didn’t expect a group of 12 mid-20s to be present on a random Wednesday night.

My new work friend told me about this place and thank you, Jarel! Guys…this burger. Omfg, this burger. My review could totally end right there. I don’t care how much you hate whatever ingredient you want to ask them to leave off of this thing… don’t. It’s a marriage of flavors that no other burger can ever live up to. Go for the bun too. I can’t even begin to tell you about the heavenly perfection of the bun. Worth the gluten bomb, you Paleo Police… WORTHIT. Yeah, the décor, the drinks, blah blah blah. The friggin’ burger, you guys. UPDATE: I brought the fam back for brunch since the original review. The Benny is on that brioche that I think is the bun for the burger? Well, it’s absolutely perfect. Super soft and a little chewy. Hollandaise is en pointe. Lemon ricotta pancakes are light and fluffy… get extra of whatever that sauce is on top… lemon curd? Corned beef hash… legit. Topped with poached eggs and hollandaise?! omg. The coffee gets its own paragraph. They serve Verve cold brew. There’s a coconut and a regular iced coffee. I HIGHLY recommend the coconut, but sans coconut shreds on top. Man, I sucked that thing down way too fast… and for $ 6, you really should drag the experience out at bit.

This little gem has you feeling like you’re in Tahoe. A friend and I recently dined here on a Saturday evening. It’s open seating in and outside which is a nice surprise, even for Los Gatos standards. I loved all the décor. The books hanging above in the shape of birds to all the books on the back wall, the bathroom décor to the outdoor park benches. We ordered: Bacon wrapped dates — YUMMY and always a must order when on the menu The cheese platter — beautifully plated and yummy The«Tator Tots» — light, but intriguing all the same. We shared the mashed potato, rosemary and bacon pizza. One might think it’s hearty, but it was surprisingly light and delish! I ordered the gin and tonic and tap and it was a bit too sweet for me. Funny — some rich snobs sauntered into the«roped off» section and just acted dumb and loud. I enjoyed our waitress although getting the bill and water was a bit too long of a wait. I would definitely go here for a date night or a girl’s night.

Delicious original cocktails(some had jam and thyme cohabiting– interesting flavor). Pizza was ok — nothing exceptional but a decent pizza. Very interesting atmosphere, very pleasant.
