Lonado Nail Spa

I have been trying trying different nail salons in the area. This one was the first one from Los Gatos. This place is really cute and not crowded which I absolutely loved!!!
This place is cash only btw. When I called the girl who answered informed me which was nice because not all places are like this. My first impression is clean environment. They have cute tubes for pedicures but no massage chairs which was fine with me because I dont really like them anyway. The massage was great!
The reason why Im not giving it 5 stars is because when I was done with my massage part of the pedicure and it was time for polish they moved me to the next pedicure spot to have another customer sit next to her friends. That was pretty rude in my opinion. But I didnt say a word.
My total was $ 35 with a hot stone massage.
Still debating if I would go back.

The girls are friendly and the place is clean. This is my typical spot for manicures and pedicures.

This is my go to nail salon. It’s clean and usually I get in right away without an appointment. I like the pedicure with massage. The only thing is that they don’t do nail art like some of the other nail salons, so it is good for a basic one color pedicure.
As others mentioned, make sure that you have cash on hand.

Great service, always seem to fit you in even on short notice.

Nicely designed salon; they don’t have massage chairs but their technicians are talented. They do not accept credit cards like Unilocal says. When I told them that on Unilocal it says they accept credit cards (just to let them know, I wasn’t upset about it) the manager rudely replied «We don’t associate with Unilocal!» I thought I was being courteous to tell them so they could correct it for future customers but she seemed agitated when I mentioned it. They are pricier than other salons but they do a good job. I am not opposed to coming here but be sure to have cash on hand.

The staff at Lonado are all GREAT! Stephanie and Lily mostly do my nails but all the girls are amazing and consistently do a good job! I recommend Lonado to all my friends :) I live in Santa Cruz but make the drive just to go to Lonado Nails!

Love the lay out in here and they have decent prices ! I like how they give you option for a massage or not. When you are in a hurry or if you just don’t wanna be in a chair for several hours– it’s great

I don’t frequent spa’s so not really sure what to expect as I was a little out of my comfort zone.
The pedicure was good for 23.00, but the person doing the manicure was not good. I go the clear coat and don’t know how she decided to shape the nails the way she did. Never sure if either of them understood much English as they didn’t say much which leads me to say, not very friendly. It was a nice space, seemed clean.
I don’t have the names, so that’s not much help.
I will go elsewhere next time

This nail salon has a good staff that do a good job of getting me in and out. My mani/​pedi polish lasts long enough and the prices are reasonable. I don’t love the stools at the counter for a manicure because the angle bugs my back muscles so no fifth star. They will do my mani while getting my pedi so problem solved.

I’ve been in here a good amount over the last 2 years and the service has consistently been good. Kinda my go-​to spot for a quick mani/​pedi. Lonado is a clean, welcoming spot and the girls who work there are careful and thoughtful. Things to know that will help to make the experience easier:
— My favorite part: you can get a mani and pedi at the same time (seriously love this when time is a factor!!!) Also, if you let them know you’re in a rush, they work with you to get you out in time.
— I highly recommend an appointment. Even though you may need to wait 5 minutes when you get there (they are often finishing up with someone else) it is worth it. All too often I would see a number of women come in without appointments and have to wait for 15+ minutes or asked to return at a later time.
— If you choose not to get the massage, the mani/​pedi will be faster and no lotion is used
— Depending on who you get the massage can last forever. Some give super long massages, others not so much. Expect anything from 5 to 15 minutes.
— You can always request packaged, sanitized tools (sometimes the girls unwrap them before heading to your station, if you’d like to make sure the tools are clean, just ask and they’ll happily grab another set still wrapped up.
— Request the Ocean Spa Mani/​Pedi for a simple and basic (with a few indulgences) mani/​pedi. This is what I order on a regular basis.
— The super expensive pedicure (forget what it is called) lasts for a long, long time. Numerous masks, creams, etc are applied. You definitely feel like you’re getting your moneys worth. I like to reserve this for when I want the super pamper job.
— Shellac is okay here. They use the foil technique to remove the shellac (which I heard is not recommended). However, it definitely holds up and keeps for a solid week or two.
If I had one complaint it’s that after they get to know you, they tend to spend less time on your services (super short massages) because I think they presume you’ll be coming back. Regardless, they are always very kind and pleasant and it is a clean environment which is always a positive.

I have been a loyal client since they opened, sometime around 2006 I believe. My mom, sister and I come in every three weeks or so to get the Floral Pedicure, which includes a massage and hot stone massage. We always make appts the day before and are always served in a timely manner.
I have a had a consistently pleasant experience every time I’ve gone. Every woman who works there is very nice. I am always asked if my preferences on how I want my nails cut. They check to make sure I like the color of the polish after painting one toe. The massage and hot stone massage are always such a treat.
I have had all of their manicure services as well, and have always been happy with the results. My sister uses their shellac services every couple of weeks too, and she has never had a complaint.
I would highly recommend Lonado! The salon is open and airy, the tubs and tools are always clean. Definitely my favorite salon in Los Gatos!

Had not been back to this nail salon in over a year. Couldn’t get into My other nail salon for month so ran in Lanoda. The woman working here are all we nice which is why I have 3 stars. As u walked in I was quickly reminded as to how crazy rude the receptionist is here. A receptionist is everything to your business. She walks around, never smiling and instead frowning the entire time. Bad enough to take the time to comment. After reading other reviews it sounds like they need ro make some changes here. But again, the woman Di the work here all seem very nice.

Lonado is my go-​to place for a pedicure, they are so nice here! You can always get an appointment, & you can usually get in without one too, even when you turn up just before closing. The décor is lovely, fresh & bright. The pedicure stations are comfortable with great foot baths that don’t need plastic liners to be kept clean. It’s altogether a pleasant & relaxing experience whenever you visit.

Definitely not worth thirty dollars for a pedicure. Two stars because the place is very nice and clean.

Would definitely not recommend this place. I had beautiful square nails that they filed down round… not even asking. Clearly I came in with them square and like them that way. They also never alerted me their basic pedicure did not include any scrubbing of your lower leg or lotion until after it was over and I had to ask… why not upsell someone? Will not be going back, very sad because I come to Los Gatos often.

I am really surprised by the negative reviews for Lonado’s. I’ve been here numerous times and have always been satisfied.
However, the reason I am writing this review is to acknowledge the honesty of this place. Several months ago, my mom left her iTouch at the salon and 3 days later when we realized it, they had it and we even picked it up on a Sunday.
This week, I left my wedding ring on my seat and 1 day later when I figured it out, again they had it safely put away and waiting for me.
In today’s day and age, something like this deserves utmost loyalty. I am a customer forever now.
Nina and Lily are great. Not a single complaint.

I had a great $ 30 pedicure here by Tracy. The massage was great. Unfortunately, the polish selection isn’t extensive and they don’t accept credit cards, thus, they get four stars instead of five. I’ll be back, though.

Cheaters! My sister and I brought our mom here for her birthday. We had made appointments prior to coming in and clearly explained what services each of us would like to receive. When we arrived my sister had to explain AGAIN what services each of us were having. She told the girl at the counter that I was getting a regular pedicure (no massage), she was getting a manicure, and our mom was getting a mani/​pedi with massage.
I had some blisters on my feet and I told the girl doing my pedicure to be careful around them. Well, she didn’t get it and needless to say it was the most painful pedicure I’ve ever had. The girl doing my sister’s manicure cut her badly that my sister didn’t want her to paint the nail. She bled so bad it needed a bandage.
When I went to pay for my pedicure the girl (who happened to be the one who checked us in and did my sister’s manicure) at the counter told me $ 30. I told her I scheduled a regular pedicure with no massage. She said I received the massage and had to pay $ 30. I told her I wasn’t aware that the massage was extra and wasn’t going to pay for their miscommunication. She then blamed my sister for communicating the incorrect information. That went over the line. I told her to keep my money but I was never coming back. I told her that she misunderstood and was handling the situation very poorly.
Thankfully, my mom had a great time and everything went smoothly with her services.
They need to put in their brochure or website that they take cash only. What business in Los Gatos doesn’t accept credit/​debit cards? That’s ridiculous.

I’ve experienced WAY better than this. I hate salons that charge extra for massage. Don’t waste your money buying the add-​on massage because it’s terrible. The actual paint job, nail shaping, and salon environment is nice. However, the girls don’t care about making sure you get a mani/​pedi worth the cost. They haphazardly exfoliate your feet and are very detached from their work.
I will not return.

The shop is nestled north on University Avenue, away from the bustling downtown area. Because of that, there is plenty of parking in a private lot though you can’t walk and shop afterwards. Anyhow, I’ve been impressed by their customer service and quality of nail work. They only do natural nails here, so you won’t encounter typical acrylic work pervading the air. The girls are friendly and professional and I particularly like the attention to detail provided – especially how they shape my nails. Pricing is competitive for the area, but slightly steeper than nail shops in general. The only downside for me is the seating which is rather uncomfortable, but helps with the bright and airy layout. Overall, a decent shop.
