My first time here and the tea recommendation was perfect! Black tea mixed with chamomile tea iced and sweetened with honey

As with all Philz locations, the baristas were awesome and as quick as they could be given the crazy morning rush, and the coffee was superb and made with care(«would you like that sweet and creamy?» «Let me know if it tastes alright!», etc.) Minus a star for the store layout itself unfortunately. One bathroom and rather small, cramped indoor seating area means this location is better for grab and go than sitting down and working on some stuff for an hour or two. The outside seating area could use some tables as well besides that one adorable tiny little one. On the bright side, the bathrooms and store were all kept very clean, including the outside! Keep up the good work folks.

Loved the iced mojito coffee and the mocha Tesora! The line moved fast! There were many seats to sit and enjoy the awesome coffee!

This location rocks. The people here are nice. I came here twice for a hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was great. I would come back here if I were in the area. I recommend any that is head to Santa Cruz from the Bay Area. You should stop off at this Philz Coffee location on the way if you want great hot chocolate, coffee or tea.

Finally giving Philz a try and I must say it lives up to the hype. I tried the iced mint mojito and it was like nothing I’ve ever tasted before. Smooth, creamy & perfectly iced. Fast friendly service and conveniently located. I love how you order from the barista and then head over to pay while your personal barista brews your drink. I will definitely be back to try more of Philz yummy coffee specialty drinks

Love that there’s a Philz in my neighborhood! Walked here in the rain, and was happy to find seating in the relatively small seating area. Coffee was made to our liking, my mint mojito tasted perfectly creamy and sweet. Their bagels and other food items looked yummy too, will have to try their spinach and feta croissant next time!

Dear Philz, Please get a different system for your food orders. Just waited 30 minutes for a vanilla scone and watched 2 other people take them in front of me that had ordered way after me. Also watched one guy take 2 and had only ordered one. You are definitely losing money this way. The staff didn’t even care or apologize when I informed them of what was happening. This was by far my worst philz experience. Thanks. Stephanie

I’m not a coffee drinker, but if I were I’d come to Philz every day. My wife swears that their coffee is the best she has ever had. When she switched to decaf, Philz became her gold standard once again — she loves the Ethiopian Decaf with medium sugar and light cream. That’s Ethiopian-Decaf-Medium-Light, in Philz speak. Their hot chocolate is my bag, with high sweet and high cream — so rich and so good. I also love that they have our fave breakfast pastry, the regal Kouign Amann. Philz rockz.

I remember the first time I tried Philz. I received a gift card from my manager as a thank you. I had tried Peets and Starbucks. The location is only a few minutes away from my work so I decided to drop by. Plenty of space for parking. As I walked in, I noticed the great coffee smell in the store. As I wait in line, they can make your coffee before you pay at the cashier. I really liked the idea and save a lot of time waiting after you pay. Iced mint mojito is one of the popular coffee on the menu, so I decided to give it a try. The flavor was awesome. Very rich and creamy. Definitely was worth the try and one of my favorites on the menu. Next time I will try other flavors. =)

Being mainly used to having Starbucks Coffee I was kinda skeptical about coming here but it wasn’t my choice since my cousin told us about this place being good and all. As soon as I walked in I saw the menu and they had a decent selection of coffee to choose from. Their listing of 3 ingredients on each of their drinks was interesting. I decided to get the Dancing Water. It’s listed under their newest drink and since it was the closest thing I can get to a cinnamon dolce drink I went with that. The 3 ingredients they listed were chocolate, nuts and cinnamon. I thought it was decent but it was nowhere near my favorite hot beverage. I tried a sip of their famous iced mint mojito but I didn’t care for it too much. I was also surprised that they only have 2 sizes here. Small or large. and both sizes were considerably small from what I’m used to seeing. Prices were a bit steep as well since my large coffee was $ 5.50 They also serve food here similar to Starbucks but I didn’t bother trying those. It’s definitely better than Peets but I still prefer Starbucks overall. The baristas got our drinks out at a reasonable time.

I love Philz. I love that this location is extremely close to where my new workplace is at. The baristas are so quick with their concoctions. They get us in and out fairly quickly. I like the set up of the place. Plenty of seating, despite being busy. Can never go wrong with a mocha tesora, sweet n creamy!

I’m a big fan of Philz Coffee and I think I’ve been to 90% of all the Philz location through out the Bay Area. Yeah, I used to go out of my way to get a cup of Philz but now it’s every where in between from where I’m at. One thing I’m glad that didn’t change is the customer service, quality, and texture of the drinks as they start to expand more locations. It’s true that all stores have different vibes. — 1 star for this because there isn’t much seating here. They have a long ordering bar area, though. Congrats to the newest Philz in Los Gatos for the establishment!

Yes, the iced mint mojito lives up to its hype. Been hearing about it for a long time now and I finally got to try it. It’s really refreshing because of the mint leaves and ice. You can tell that they added a lot of sugar, though, because it was pretty sweet. But I liked how creamy it was — not thick like a latte, but creamy. The Ecstatic iced coffee was also very creamy and somewhat sweet, but not as much as the mojito. I like being able to personalize the sweetness level of the coffee(NOTE: barista said their coffee tends is pretty strong, so most people prefer it with medium sweetness). I didn’t like the layout of the place though. You’re directed to the bar to give the barista your order, then go to pay at the counter, then go back to the bar where there’s already a bunch of people waiting in line to go up to the bar… I can see it being chaotic when it’s busy.

I love that Philz coffee is expanding. I came here on a rainy Sunday afternoon. The place was not crowded but the couches, and tables were pretty full. Yummy coffee as always. Great customer service. Nice, new spot in Los Gatos.

Noelle’s Unilocal Notebook 2016 01÷29÷16 Philz Coffee located in Los Gatos, California is a little piece of Heaven! They serve the most wonderful coffees, teas and pastries. You can order any coffee or tea hot or iced, sweet or not sweet. The combination of coffee drinks are literally endless. The pastries from Starter Bakery in the East Bay are a must :) My husband loves their Kouign-amann, my son is a fan of their chocolate croissant and I love their vanilla scone. When I grocery shop at Whole Foods, I’ve purchased Philz Coffee whole beans but their selection is limited. If you’re looking for a larger selection of their whole bean coffee roast definitely come to the actual coffee shop. My mom introduced me to Philz Coffee, we would come here often with my son when my mom was alive. I still come here often and think of all the happy memories, conversations, love and laughter we shared here over cups of coffee and tea. The customer service here is really outstanding, so many kind, funny and great people making coffee or tea drinks. Noelle’s Current Fave Philz Drinks: ((ICED)) 20 oz. Silken Soul, Sweet, Light Cream iced. 20 oz. Green Tea, Honey– Medium Sweetness iced. 20 oz. Dancing Waters, Medium Sweetness, Light Cream ((HOT)) Large Hot Chocolate. Large Silken Splendor, Medium Sweet, Medium Cream. Large Mocha Tesora, Medium Sweet, Cream. Coffees and Teas Sizes: Small(white lids) Large(white lids) 20 oz(black lids) you can order — sweet, medium sweet, extra sweet; same goes with cream or you can go sans sweet and or cream its really up to you! Great customer service, chill and relaxing ambiance makes this a winner in my Unilocal notebook! Love in 2016, Noelle J. noelle’s post secrets A thousand times I’ve seen you standing Gravity like lunar landing You make me wanna run till I find you I shut the world away from here Drift to you, you’re all I hear As everything we know fades to black

Oh Philz, how I’ve missed you! Sacramento has some fantastic coffee, but it’s not as good as Philz’ Ecstatic Iced Coffee. I have had this at multiple other locations and it is always as good at all locations. Of course, I had to pair it with the other fave, the chocolate Kouign Amman. Yes, I was in heaven! This location has a similar layout as the others. There is a line to order your coffee and a separate line to pay. For those familiar with Philz, this is a no-brainer, but it can be confusing to newbies. This location is fairly small, compared to their Redwood City location. There’s only one couch and a couple of smaller tables indoors. There is a counter that faces the outside on the perimeter, but indoor seating is pretty limited. Service was aces, like it always is! The barista patiently explained the tea options to my friend. My coffee was made exactly the way I love it. I will dream of it until my next Philz visit.

Excellent service and great experience! Brody was patient, helpful and very knowledgeable when helping me decide what to order. Also, the wait to order was less than 5 mins. The silken splendor was smooth and full of flavor! It’s $ 3 for small cup and a dollar more for the large. Their hot chocolate was semi sweet but you can add cream and sugar to make it taste sweeter and more rich. The pear danish, with its crispy edge and fruity sweetness was great with the coffee! Plenty of parking.

Phil’z I love you! Yeah it’s true. I go out of my way to get a Phil’z drink. All the stores have different vibes. This one is super chill. There isn’t much seating here. They have a long ordering bar area. They have scones here which I haven’t really seen at other Phil’z(and I’ve been to plenty). I always get the Chocolate Kouign Amann. Sooooo good… Drink wise, I prefer the Gingersnap or Mint Mojito or Tesora but all of the blends/drinks are good… OMG the«sweet»(would you like that sweet and creamy?) is equivalent to two heaping spoonfuls of brown sugar. I read a funny article about people are obsessed with Phil’z cream and its creaminess. I love the new coffee bean packaging. The company is growing!!! Watch out Starbucks.

First time at Philz after hearing so much about it! Ordering was really confusing. Each barista had their own little section and you would go up and order when ready. Apparently there’s a separate area where you go pay for your coffee after you tell your order to the barista. No one clarified this and I feel like it could have been really easy to just order and not pay. After you pay, you wait for the barista you ordered from to make your coffee. There was no actual system to keep track of who ordered what. There were a lot of people when I went and even the barista wasn’t completely sure of which coffee belonged to which person. The coffee was pretty good though. I ordered an iced mint mojito. It was my first time having it and it’s definitely a very unique but refreshing taste. They use real mint leaves too! The coffee is good but the process of ordering and paying for the coffee was really confusing.
