Timothy Coughlin, OD

Had my first appointment with Dr Coughlin today. I’m very impressed. He was attentive and thorough, much more so than my previous optometrist.
I have a high risk of glaucoma, as identified by previous practitioners, but Dr Coughlin gave me a much clearer idea of what my risks and options are and was excellent at explaining the disease and how it is treated. The practice had good equipment, and I was very thoroughly tested compared to other practices I have visited.
I also had a fitting for some alternate brands of contact lenses, as my current option is quite old and there are better ones available. This went very well, and Dr Coughlin assessed the different options with me. I will be picking up some trial pairs soon for an in-​home test before I commit to buying a new brand in bulk.
Overall, excellent. The only issue was that I had to wait a few weeks for an appointment. But if this is the level of care I can expect, then Dr Coughlin is worth waiting for. Highly recommended.
