I can’t say enough good things about this place. This place also does private animal cremations. NO not at their store! I found out about this place when my dog crossed the rainbow bridge and the vet used this place. I was told that they cremated the animals individually and were located in Los Gatos. Many vets use the cremation service that is located in Napa. I didn’t want my «family member» to be in a big ash pile and for them to scoop out just enough ashes and say «that looks like enough ashes for a large dog». I’m not saying that they do that, but that’s how I felt. My dog was returned by Trent in a high quality wooden box. It was heavy and solid. Tragedy struck again this year but with my cat. I called Trent and they went to my vet, located in Fremont, and picked her up. I went to the store and brought in a paperweight that looked similar to my cat. I wanted them to somehow permanently attach the glass figurine on top of the urn. When I received it back (took about 2 weeks, but it was over they holidays) the urn was above and beyond my expectations! The craftsmanship was A-​MAZING! They also include a ceramic foot print of your «family member». Trent custom makes each urn for each pet. It’s not like pick it out of the catalog and they stuff the ashes in there and it’ll be ready by tomorrow. I spoke with his wife and she told me that Trent really cares for the animals. If he feels that the fur is a little ruffled he will brush it down and make it nice. That shows you someone who cares and respects your «family member». And anything involving weddings or funerals it’s always overpriced, but I didn’t feel that with Trent. I felt the quality vs price was more than fair. Thank you Trent!

Trent Pottery is amazing. He accommodates to any need and makes everything himself entirely by hand. We recently have had to put down a few pets, and he made beautiful urns for each one of them with their names imprinted and a ceramic tile with an imprint of their paws. I would highly recommend Trent for anyone who is looking for a quality piece that will last forever.

I rarely give out 5-​stars, but this is a nice little pottery shop in the heart of Downtown Los Gatos. I absolutely love Trent and his awesome wife. Trent does some beautiful work. Lot’s of crocks, but he also does some amazing tile and wall art.
He will also do custom work for you. I do a lot of bread baking and use either a sourdough starter or a biga (unfermented starter). We placed an order for some custom crocks and they turned out beautiful. First time around, they were not the right size and he remade them no problem. Very accommodating. While prices may seem high, one needs to bear in mind that his work is not only quality artisan work, but it’s locally made, one piece at a time, by Trent himself. None of his work is mass-​produced nor does he use inferior materials. He starts with quality and produces quality. Well worth the price!
As I pull friends into my bread baking lair, Trent Pottery is on my list for them to visit.
In addition to basic crocks, he does platters, casserole dishes, custom sinks (yes, sinks). Pretty much, if it can be moulded with clay, he can make it!
Also, if you have a much beloved pet whom you’ll want to remember after their ‘retirement’, talk with them about the custom services they offer.
Trent Pottery has a convenient parking lot located behind the bank. Pull into the driveway in front of the store and follow it to the back.
Call ahead for hours. Don’t pass up their beautiful pottery!
