The best pre made salads and sandwiches around. I always stop in for a pint of their vegetable medley and the curried chicken on the way to wind taste in Los Olivos. It never disappoints! My fiancé also loves the tritip sandwiches and the hot pastrami Reuben. If you need a bottle of wine they have a fantastic selection– likewise with their pasta. Yes it’s expensive and boutiquey but it’s absolutely worth it!

The best sandwiches! My family and I have been coming here for years. We usually get sandwiches and take them over to bridlewood to enjoy along with a glass of wine. I have ordered something different each time and have never been disappointed. Included in the deli are delicious sides like potato salad. The store itself is filled with wonderful and unique finds too. A must on a wine tour!

**GROCERY, DELI, ANDBREAKFASTSTOPINLOSOLIVOS** Small country store on Highway 154 that offers you gourmet and specialty foods as well as grocery basics. European-style breads, artisan cheeses, charcuterie, local wines and locally grown produce are available here. Good place to grab some picnic food or a custom cheese platter on the go. Also a place to dine as well. PARKING ======== Lot, plenty. AMBIANCE ========= Old-school grocery with a real country-feel. The staff members are nice and informal. Small, but does its job. There is also an indoor patio area where we also dined for breakfast. Huge windows with country vintage décor. You can also just buy some wine and beer and hang out in this area as well. GROCERIES ========== — Pastas(½ pound) — Various cheeses — Baguette Around $ 20 Quality was very good, better selection in the mornings. RATING: 4⁄5 BREAKFASTFOOD =============== OPENFORBREAKFAST7AM FRENCHTOAST(½ order) WITHBACONANDFRIEDEGGS 4 pieces of French Toast(brioche bread) was the perfect amount. Nice texture with some pure maple syrup. Bacon was perfectly cooked and the fried eggs were OK. RATING: 4⁄5 BEVERAGE ========= They have a Lavazza Espresso bar. OMG, yes. CAPPUCCINO Need more foam, but still solid for Los Olivos. RATING: 3⁄5 OVERALL ======== Adore this place. Quiet, friendly, and typical Americana-feel. Will return. RECOMMEND for all of your basic grocery needs and maybe a gourmet picnic basket. Do try their breakfast if you can, too.

Above and beyond. This little grocery store has an amazing deli. I was sad to learn that they didn’t however have gluten free bread as I’m allergic to gluten. They sell udi’s loafs and the manager, Jason pulled a loaf and allowed the deli to make a gf sandwich for me. I was super grateful for their ability to problem solve and ensure I too could have a sandwich. Thanks, Los Olivos Grocery!

Best kept secret in the sy valley for breakfast. We eat there every weekend, and it is awesome. Plus the cook is super cool. All day baby!

I tried their Tri-tip sandwich from the deli:) very good! They have a wide variety of salads & sandwiches. Plus they can make you a hamburger fresh off the grill. Definitely will be coming back.

Since this grocery store has changed ownership a few years back I have stopped going. The owners dislike Americans and the store has gone seriously downhill. Avoid this place for the poorly stocked shelves, mediocre customer service. Really don’t know how to run a grocery store.

What can I say but I love this place. Fresh Bread, Good deli, Cold Drinks and a perfect halfway point for me from San Luis Obispo to Los Angeles. I admit I have been stopping here for years.(even with the previous owners– but that is history). The current staff has been helpful and nice to me. The bread is always fresh. This is a bright spot to stop for first a bathroom, second a stretch, and third a good snack and drink! I will be coming back on most of my trips through the Santa Ynez Valley.

I love the deli here. Mostly just for the CACHUMACHICKENSANDWICH. I’m full and I want another!!! Having lived and worked in the Santa Ynez Valley, I found this place through my co workers. My husband and I loves grabbing sandwiches from here«off the grill» and haven’t been back in a year. I was in the area today, got my favorite sandwich and it did bit disappoint. They also let me know that they’re deli is open till 6pm everyday

Don’t Stop, keep driving! This place has the dirtiest restrooms I have ever seen that serves food. When I complained, the guy at the register kept talking about kids leaving paper on the floor. He did not understand the difference between messy and filth. He just did not get it! I don’t want to eat or buy groceries at the place where the employees use such a filthy restroom. Keep driving!

This is wine country so you need someplace to get your picnic on. We tried the LOG for some bread, cheese and deli salads, but were not impressed. The fresh bread shelf was almost bare and expensive. There was a day old ciabatta for half price so I grabbed that for economy. The cheese section had a lot of choices but they were all really expensive and didn’t look like they were moving much product. The deli case also looked a little underwhelming, but the staff was very helpful/professional. They had a big selection of wine which seems odd considering it’s surrounded by wineries. We prefer El Rancho market.

We love Renae… he’s fantastic. Makes the best sandwiches, breakfasts, and if you haven’t tried his Chile Relleno then you really haven’t lived. 5 stars for him… period. Only issue are the bathrooms. Those blow my mind. I’ve come here for years and those continue to blow my mind. Like a scene from«Saw». I think it’s about time those got a makeover. 0 to 1 star for those… trust me, ladies, you can hold it.

I have only been to this grocery store twice and I’m a local. They are expensive don’t have allot of things I want. And the people seem snobby!

Stopped for a lunch. Went to use the restrooms first & changed our minds about eating there. They were absolutely filthy. Long term grime! Scared to see the kitchen.

After starting the travel day at 5am and a couple of wine tastings we were starving for lunch and probably would have been satisfied with just about anything. My brother suggested this little gem and it couldn’t have been a better choice! The deli was in the back of the store and OMG, the guys working the counter were beyond friendly and funny and just made the visit that much better. They were supposed to call our name so we could come get the order but they even made the extra effort to bring our orders to us. So nice! The food was surprisingly delicious and we all liked that we could pick out beers, soft drinks etc. throughout the mostly gourmet store. It was a little pricey and the restrooms were not ideal(apparently restrooms are in short supply in this little town) but overall the visit was a treat for all of us.

Little price-y but good quality items. Good mid point on my journey. Clean restrooms. Premade sandwiches, but also a deli. Tables and some shade.

Had a great little sandwich on my way back to SB at this fun little grocery-store meets mini-mart meets gourmet-food find. Good stuff. The restroom is a non-starter. DONOTSTOPHERETOUSETHERESTROOM.

This is a tough place to review and judging by the recent Unilocal reviews it is now a polarizing place as well. Los Olivos Grocery it seems has changed ownership in the past year or so and clearly many of the locals are less than impressed. Yes you are going to pay a premium for everything and yes you may have to wait for your sammies because they do get busy especially during peak season. Call it a 3.75 rounded to a 4. I cetainly would not go out of my way to do any«regular grocery» shopping here. A tyypical wait at the deli counter I have stopped in several times and enjoyed the fresh off the grill trip tip and was very pleased. The BBQ chicken is pretty mouth watering too… For the sweet tooth Dean and Doluca’s this ain’t so don’t expect a hoard of foodie employees with a a cheese counter, meat counter, etc. This isn’t Napa or Healdsburg either. If you are looking for a place to stock up for a day of wine tasting while in the area then Los Olivos Grocery still gets the job done. Remember that proximity and scarcity of this kind of establishment is a kin to gold when your day revolves around sampling fermented grape juice at neighboring wineries.
