2006 Osseus Sauvignon Blanc Crisp — Clean — Refreshing I really do love Sauvignon Blanc. I would choose it over Chardonnay any day. It appeals to the chef in me. When I invite friends or family over for a spread. I usually do 3 courses. Salad or fish/shellfish starter. Then meat main course followed by dessert. To me no better grapes starts the salad or fish course right than Sauvignon Blanc. Central Coast produces some great Sauv. Blancs. Osseus Wines are no exception. A fairly new project from the Associate Wine Maker of Zaca Mesa Eric Mohseni. He Produces the wine from 2 different Vineyards in the Santa Ynez Valley. The wine shows characters of kiwi and Meyer lemons. Prepare to pucker up when tasting as a good Sauv. Blanc should make you do. Of course best pairing would be any sweet flesh fish or just about any shellfish. At $ 18.99 per the price is exactly where I want it to be. Purchase at my favorite Wine shop. I can’t wait to give a try with some great food. Cheers!
