I use Central Coast Appliance on a regular basis to either install appliances for my customers or refer them for repairs. Many years of solid service from these guys! Would recommend to anyone. As a local general contractor, I appreciate the support that Central Coast provides for our team!

We had an odd European dishwasher that was covered under our home warranty that gave us allot of problems. At first, Toby(the owner) would be easy to get hold of on the phone, came out did repairs very well & things were good. The unit kept breaking down. I don’t think it was their fault but it was covered under warranty & we as the consumer needed it repaired. After about the 4th or 5th time it broke(always a different problem), they told our insurance co. the present problem was caused by a broken glass in the machine so they denied the claim & will no longer cover our dish washer. This problem was NOT caused by a glass & I tried numerous times to get hold of Toby but the people answering the phone would refuse to let me get in contact with him & were super rude & argumentative with me. We now had to purchase a new dishwasher from another store. If you are a local owner /operator business I think communicating with your customers are key. Just because there’s a problem is not a reason to refuse to reason with your customer. The worst part was the young man & older woman that answer the phone. Horrid people. Toby — don’t make it like getting hold of the FBI, talk to your customers. K.C.

I was over charged for a washer/dryer checkup. In the past, I was charged $ 80 for this same service. Other companies in the area charge $ 80 to $ 85. Sue charged me $ 99.95. I was told they charge extra because the stackable units are difficult to pull out and access. But the service guy didn’t have to access anything, the washer/dryer was working fine when he came over. It turns out, an electrical surge caused the problem. $ 99.95 is too much for a 10 minute visit requiring no manual labor.

My 4 year old Kenmore stove’s burners had stopped working. My warranty with Sears had run out and from it’s «symptoms», was distressed at the thought of having to pay big bucks for parts and labor– or possibly a brand new stove. A friend told me about CCA and how honest they were. They were professional and polite on the phone, which I was very grateful for. It felt good to be explaining issues to someone just down the road, that I could easily talk to again should I need to. Chad came out in a few days and easily resolved the issue. What relief! I would recommend! First rate!

My husband warned me about using Central coast appliance because they are the most expensive but against his advice I called them. I was quoted one price to come diagnose my appliances with no addendum to the price being dependent on type of appliances. I was. quoted more to repair them than to buy brand new ones and had them quote prices of new appliances. Theirs was extremely higher than elsewhere not including the installation cost. Decided to purchase elsewhere and have installed by another business who was less expensive which worked out perfect and save me a lot of money. I received a bill for the diagnostics that was done and it was much higher than quoted. When I asked why I was told it was because of the type of appliance. Would t recommend this place at all! R

I called on a reference to have a dishwasher and over the range microwave installed in our newly remodeled kitchen and received excellent service even though we didn’t even buy the appliances from them.

I called them to buy a new oven and they never even bothered to call back. I called Idler’s and what a difference, professional and great service. Tried to give the local guys the business, forget it I am going back to Idler’s.

I do not understand the filters on this Unilocal website! They took the two good reviews filtered them out and made my one opinion and experience obsolete, leaving only two horrible reviews with no counteraction. It’s lame and unreasonable! I truly am impressed with this small business from my home town, had no ties to them before they«saved the day» and they deserve to get credit for that… just saying…

I called them three times during regular business hours for a repair on my washer. They never called back. So I called People’s Choice in SLO and had good results.
