Volumes of Pleasure Bookshop

I really enjoyed my family’s visit to this bookshop. When we walked in with my preschooler the proprietor right away showed us the basket of toys she keeps for little kids to play with. That was just what I needed so I could take my turn first, as my husband stayed near the basket, to look around the store. It was a pleasure to examine the toys, books, gifts, collectibles, and spiritual and holistic supplies on the shelves, interesting, soothing and such a welcome distraction from the harried world just outside the door. It’s always a relief to me to indulge my inner hippie, a gal who has to stay hidden more than I thought she would in the Central Coast. I don’t doubt that there is something here for everyone; we ultimately left with a 3D animal picture that entertained my child. We felt really relaxed and comfortable in this shop, unhurried. I look forward to my next visit.

What a wonderful little shop! A varied source for all kinds of reading. And, the gifts and other little goodies including beautiful jewelry! Just great. It’s a nice place to go and it has a wonderful, friendly feel.

As much gift shop as bookstore, with a substantial amount of the limited shelf space given over to a variety of toys, new age nostrums & assorted tchotchkes. The literary selection is limited to the expected bestsellers & perennials, although they’ll fill special orders with a smile.

We are so lucky to have Barbara and Carole here in our little town. Wonderful, beautiful people and the BEST shop to find an interesting gift for someone you like.
Of course they have lots of books – and they and their staff always know what they have and go out of their way to get you what they don’t have. Every time I go in I’m sure to find something I can’t live without.

A cute little book store that carries everything from books (of course) to charms, from potpourri and scented oils to candles. You are sure to find something of interest in this place. And the staff, always friendly. ~
