Looking for Broadway in your small town? Look no further than downtown Loudon at the Lyric. An eclectic and quaint setting with an actor guild that really goes above and beyond for their shows. Impressive cannot cover the work the owners and surrounding business have accomplished bringing this relic back to life. The surrounding eateries and shops have now started staying open late for after show dining and gatherings and Annabells is on a wait list before shows. Truly breathing life back into a small town this theatre offers something you cannot afford to miss.

This place is adorable. In the heart of downtown Loudon exists a small and intimate theater(about 50 or so seats) where you can really enjoy a show. The draw for me was really the intimacy. We watched a bluegrass show and the performers actually interacted with the audience. Several audience members got up and sang! I hear it’s an old renovated movie theater. Brick walls, heavy stage curtains and somewhat haphazardly-placed white Christmas lights provide the ambiance. Stadium seating, but more stadium seating as it was interpreted in the fifties or so. Oh, and the comfort level of the seats is right on par for the fifties(or so) as well. It was a rainy night and the roof leaked a little. All of these sound like bad things! But really, it’s the intimate nature of the place that is key. I say check it out! I will definitely be going here for a show again.
