Ok atmosphere but loud inside. Mixed drinks are pricy, small and at the bar they serve in a disposable cup — forgive me but at $ 6 I would like a glass. Ordered the crab legs. They seemed tired and over-cooked. Steamed shrimp were better. As one recent 4 star(? why) review summed it up… the seafood is mediocre. Mediocre as they are — there is no other choice on Lake Anna.

Went to Tims yesterday for Valentines dinner! Lump crab appetizer was incredible. I had a really incredible experience with them. I ordered a pound of steamed shrimp knowing I couldn’t eat them all and would have lunch the next day, but of course I got up and left my box sitting on the table. Well after taking tge dog out of tge car to go potty I realized my error and went back in. The table had been cleared and when I questioned our server the box had been tossed. I thought oh well there goes my lunch fir the next day, but to my surprise they made me a fresh order at no charge to take home. I really want everyone to know how great that made me feel and we will definitely be going back.

Nice casual atmosphere and a great view overlooking Lake Anna! Seafood is mediocre, have eaten there several times and was never really impressed with my meal. However, their clam chowder is fantastic! Make sure you try it out :)

This place has the largest clams we had ever seen! We also ordered snow crabs and the soft shells which were perfectly cooked. We will be back!

Alitte disappointed with this restaurant. I asked where the shrimp came from, waitress said she would find out. Never answered my question. Was not told about the dinner specials for the evening, plus the food was mediocre. Will not be revisiting this establishment.

We’ve been here several times and the food and service never disappoints. I’ve had the bacon wrapped scallops, fried crabcake sandwich and fish tacos. Oh and the hush puppies. All good stuff! The atmosphere is so chill too. It’s like your blood pressure lowers just from being there. The back deck view of the lake is also amazing.

Went to Tim’s on Friday evening at 5pm. Based on some reviews, was a little nervous but friends had liked it. Note: they don’t do reservations but will do call-ahead seating. Perhaps because it wasn’t very crowded, but the service was fabulous. Met by a greeter who sat us(party of 7, youngest 15 years old) quickly inside after asking if our preference was for inside or outside seating. Server, Hayleigh(sp?), was friendly and very efficient — kept our drinks filled by watching from a short distance. All of the tables filled while we were there, but service continued to be excellent. Family and friends ordered a variety of food, I had the fried clam plate. The clams were large and the portion size plentiful. A couple were chewy but over all, it was a very good dish. A couple people ordered the crab legs and commented they were the best crabs they had ever eaten. We also had a pasta dish that was excellent and one of the others ordered chicken tenders and loved them. Portion sizes were large enough to bring food home. The fried pickles were bland, we probably won’t re-order them. The Sea Bites(battered and fried cod) were excellent, highly recommend them!

It was raining so we sat inside but you can tell on a nice night sitting outside at this lakeside restaurant is the way to go. The service was prompt and the waitress was good… now about the food really i’m not big on seafood so I did’int go out on a limb I had the fried seafood combo and i liked it especially the crab cake yes I will go back.

Six of us, our waitress was friendly and honest with the dishes that they make well and not so good, so it helped guide us to great selections. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the place was packed! Nice deck out back as well. Pretty good overall!

Just tried this place for a second time and couldn’t bear the service to be seated so I left. Absolutely atrocious service. Unfriendly staff at the door greets you that act like they don’t want any part of the restaurant. Had their food last summer(also horrible service) and the meal was decent-nothing special. Wish there were more options on lake Anna. Definitely recommend no wake zone restaurant instead.

We have been going to Tim’s since the inception. We were very disappointed last 3 times at Tim’s due to lower quality food and slow service when it was not even busy. Do not order tiny little chicken wings! It’s all bones and no meat. Calamari appetizer is $ 10.95 for a small handful of calamari. The 2 pound crab leg special are frozen steamed crabs along with the seafood they serve. It’s all frozen food and the portion and quality is getting smaller and smaller. Do not order desserts, Ice cream was freezer burned!!! I am afraid that this restaurant is going downhill and I hope Tim’s management is reading this review.

My brother and sister-in-law took the boat to Tim’s yesterday for their 46th wedding anniversary. They reported that the restaurant was crowded but the service and view was excellent… and the food was good. They plan to have a return visit this week.

Not the best place ever but if you take all the averages it makes it an A+ place. Fresh seafood, outdoor lakeside dining, flip flops recommended, live music, smiling positive waitresses, cold brews and everyone around you is happy. I like it here. My new fave chill place

Coming from out-of-town and Tim’s being the only seafood area around, we were expecting something good. The crab legs were fantastic. The service was terrible. Our waitress was a little slow and didn’t really check in as much as she should. She even forgot an appetizer. When we asked another waitress about it she was rude. Just okay.

Nice outdoor seating on the lake, but the food was awful. Everything was bad… Calamari, fried pickles, crab cakes, crab soup(inedible), salad. Even the grilled cheese was bad. But probably a fun place to go for drinks outside.

Stopped in a few days ago. Food was decent, and atmosphere was pretty cool. The server could have stopped by the table more, but it was still a good experience.

We really love this place for great steamed shrimp! We have met family here 2 times for birthday celebrations. Service is good & friendly. Always nice to walk down to the docks after lunch and see the boats.

This place was very good. Stopped in on a road trip. Great location on the lake! Fried pickle chips were really good with two dipping sauces. Husband had a grilled chicken sandwich and it was awesome. Fries are those really good bar fries; crispy outside, soft u Inside. I had a dozen steamed clans and they were HUGE! A little fishy tasting but still good. Friendly service.

Great ride stop! We were riding the curvy back roads in central Virginia and stopped at Tim’s for adult refreshemts and some pub grub. Having experienced Tim’s Rivershore in Dumfries, we knew what to expect. We sat on the deck overlooking Lake Anna since smoking is allowed back there. Beautiful sunny skies finally! We ordered our beer(Budweiser!), and started with the Sea Bites, bite-sized cod fillet, lightly breaded and fried. They were done perfectly. Add a basket of fries, and it’s a meal in itself. We next ordered the crab stuffed mushrooms, their house specialty. Medium sized mushroom caps, stuffed with lump crab meat, seasonings and parmesan cheese. Topped with sliced tomato and mozzarella and broiled to put a nice golden brown crust on top. Heavenly! The only minus was that our server was training a newbie, so service was a tad slow. They welcome bikers, so if you are in the neighborhood, stop in!
