American Louvered Roof Systems

We had our American Louvered Roof System installed in September of 2012. When we ordered it we specifically asked for a manual system and did not want an electric since it was next to a pool. We were told no problem. All I can say is the awning has NEVER worked correctly, NEVER. The awning was installed by one of their certified contractors and has NEVER worked. Their VP at the time Hal Torman came out to our house once and could do nothing. I’ve had numerous emails with Paul Sessman promising a fix, NOTHING, crickets, silence. We have close to $ 15,000 into a non functional Louvered Awning. Their promises are empty. I’m 6’3, 250 lbs. and had to put so much torque on the winder that I actually broke the handle. When I first started calling about the inability to use our awning I was told, «the one at our factory works fine» Seriously! I think it’s great that theirs works but I have a fifteen thousand dollar piece of garbage. There are several other manufacturers of Louvered awnings out there available, I sure wish I would have gone with another manufacturer. If you buy one of these and it doesn’t work don’t say I didn’t warn you. Paul, you know who I am, you want this review taken down? Fix my damned awning or take it down and refund me. I’d prefer it to just go away so I can erase my experience with American Louvered Awning from my memories.
