Darkness Falls was the scariest attraction I have been to EVER! I’ve been to many in the past but this one takes the cake. It takes 30 minutes to walk through the woods and they utilize almost every inch of it. Definitely go before 9pm because the later in the evening you go the longer the lines get. It took us an hour to get through the line for DF and that was our 2nd attempt after getting there late the weekend before. The other attractions they have are not worth it so just do the Falls, you won’t be dissapointed!

Not worth it in the slightest. First, the haunted attractions aren’t scary, and, second, and most important, the wait is atrocious. We arrived at 10 pm on Saturday night and had about 150 people ahead of us for the zombie city attraction. It took two hours to get through the line. They only let one small group of 4 – 8 people in every seven minutes, so the line moves incredibly slow. And then the attraction isn’t even worth it. Maybe 10 zombies in the entire attraction, and no real scares at all. Our friends went through the Darkness Falls attraction at the same time we went through zombie city, and they had the exact same experience. Super long wait, very slow moving line. And the end attraction wasn’t worth it and wasn’t scary. There were two moments to induce claustrophobia, in darkness falls, which they reported as disconcerting but not scary. Overall, worst haunted house experience ever. And we’ve all been to many in the louisville area.

I’ve gone to this for the past few years and it never disappoints! From the scary clowns and other things that run around the area, and move through the line with you, to the awesome entertainment they have on the grounds. The different attractions within the park are creative, interactive and all around scary and fun. I have years worth of pictures of scary clowns scaring the crap out of my cousins kid that are just priceless to me. He asks us to take him back every year too, so I’m guessing it must be more fun than traumatic for him. lol We loved the zombie city because it was so different from other haunted attractions, and it at least gives the impression that you are really interacting and not just moving through. The main haunted attraction(I don’t know what else to call it) is my favorite. It’s long and there are scares lurking around every corner. Also the actors have always gone out of their way to have fun with us when we’ve gone. Whether it’s through their awesome performances, or picking up on things like our names to make things extra scary. I absolutely can not wait to go back this fall. It’s definitely well worth the ticket price, plus I’ve noticed that there are also groupons.

On an early October evening I ventured out to the Asylum with a few friends(Groupons in hand) to see what Darkness Falls had to offer. Having played paintball there before, I could see the potential for a pretty cool haunted trail given all the fortress structures and general terrain. The place was decked out with four available activities, including some pretty funny Halloween-ized Carnival Games in the common area. There was a food truck there which is a nice touch for those planning on a longer evening with multiple events. We got super lucky as there was literally no line for our attraction upon arrival, allowing us to immediately go through with just our group. I was thoroughly impressed with the length of the trail, the attention to detail on costumes and sets, and the variety of different themed areas. I don’t want to give too much away, so I will spare content details(though the church scene was pretty epic). There were a wide array of structures to walk through and several«interactive» portions that I found to be pretty fun and unique. The actors were so into it! They really made it fun by being totally invested into putting on a good show for us, even though there were only four of us. I can’t speak to the other attractions at The Asylum, but definitely check out Darkness Falls!
