Boo! Some of the worst customer service I’ve had. Firstly, I was on hold for 10 minutes(my phone counted) to ask whether a promotion was still in effect. This is a Wednesday at about 3PM, so I’m fairly certain this isn’t rush hour. After work, I head on over to visit the store and try some dress shirts on. I wander about, trying to see if I can find a pattern I had seen online. I make eye contact with a few reps who seem to not notice. Nobody attempts to help. After a few minutes, I finally find what I’m looking for. Time to try the fitting rooms! No? Nobody? Oh! How about this gentleman here-no, no he’s gone to assist the other woman who just walked in the door. How about this lady-nope, assisting the SAMEWOMAN who just walked in the door. It’s like the Queen of England’s decided to visit today. I wait until the cashier is done with her customer(another good 5 minutes) and politely ask her to get me a dressing room, which she does. The rest is standard fare. Maybe things are different in NYC, or maybe I look like a guy who can’t afford these clothes, but I’ve never felt more invisible in a store.

If you’ve been to a Banana Republic before, you’ll have a pretty good idea of what to expect when you make your way to this location at the Oxmoor Center. The offerings are pretty standard and if anything, this is actually one of the smaller locations I have seen. The one plus to this location is pretty solid clearance offerings both for men and women. If you shop a lot at Banana Republic, Gap, Old Navy etc, it might be worth it to invest in a Visa card from these brands as they actually offer a pretty solid reward program.
