I’ve tried this truck 4 times now. I wanted to like it, but after 4 times of walking away disappointed… I have to say I’ll never have a Black Rock burger again. I gave it 3 stars because the burger is edible. I would probably give 2 stars, but the fries redeem this food truck back to a 3. My problem is that these burgers are too dry & there’s little to no flavor with the meat. Each burger is 9 – 10 dollars! I don’t mind paying that much for a burger when it’s a great burger(I do it all the time for Grind, Sidebar, Mussel/Burger Bar). These burgers really should be in the 5 – 7 dollar range. The 4 burgers I’ve had: — The Stink & Swine — Gorgonzola cheese, smoked bacon, LTO — The Cali(on 2 occasions) — Monterey jack, smoked bacon, guacamole, LTO — The Inferno — Pepper jack, cajun spice, jalapenos, sriracha mayo, tobacco onions, LTO The Cali & The Inferno are good, but again… the ingredients on these burgers are what shine. For me, you can have all the ingredients in the world but if the meat is dry/unseasoned/flavorless… then what’s the point of eating it? They should include burger-less items on their menu where you can get the ingredients without the burger… and half the cost.

Bet you can’t eat just one! Fries are hands down 5 Star. Burgers are 4.5 star. Great value buy!

I’ve had enough! I’ve messaged these people and called this establishment. The directions send you to Lynnview where they clearly are not. All I want is a burger. But can’t even get someone to speak with to find out where they park. The city of Louisville needs food truck locator bc this is ridiculous. If we dont where you are located, how can we purchase. You gotta answer the phone or record a daily voicemail with your location. I Understand your busy. Thanks.

Super yummy smells and burgers coming from this mobile piece of food heaven. The hand cut fries are worth the 5 bucks. Occasionally at Apocalypse Brew works on the weekends. Recommended!

Just walking by to get something to eat and I smell something fantastic. Given I’m downtown Louisville that is a rarity. I thought I would check it out. There was a line so I got the sense that this might be some good stuff. Greeted very friendly by the person taking my order. Asked if I had any questions. Not really the menu is pretty straight forward. I ordered the Cali minus the guacamole. All their burgers come with fries. Got a side of habanero ketchup. Got back to my office and took a bite. That was a good tasting burger. Ordered mine well done and it was cooked just right. A little dry but the taste made up for it. The ketchup had some kick to it. Great burger. Don’t be scared of the food truck as many of my friends are they don’t know what they are missing.

I’ve tried BRG food truck for the first time and I am impressed! I had their«Inferno» burger with their hand-cut fries and homemade ketchup. I will definitely be going back!

My first experience with Black Rock Grille was at the Zombie Run a few months ago. We ordered a couple different sandwiches and shared some bites. The burgers were cooked just as requested and hit the spot after that heart pounding 5k. There was quite a large turn out of post race zombies at this food truck! BRG certainly topped off my Thursday when I turned the corner at Market and saw their truck, yesterday! I ‘liked’ them on FB and have been on the lookout for them to be downtown near my office. I asked if they are offering FB specials — «Not yet, but we’re working on it!» — Good answer BRG! I eat gluten free so I asked them to skip on the bun — the girl happily volunteered to conduct a ‘fork’ search while my Stink & Swine cooked. For $ 10.00 I got the Stink & Swine AND fries! I can’t remember how much I paid last time — maybe they threw in the fries because I’m ‘bun free’???

They were downtown for lunch today so I thought I would indulge. I am on a diet though, and all the burgers come *with* fries. I asked if I could just get a burger. They said sure but were still going to charge me the same price. Which was frustrating… just fries from them cost $ 4-$ 6…they couldn’t give me a dollar off? I got the the Stink and Swine burger, and despite wrapping my head around the fact that I just paid $ 10 for just a burger… it was delicious. Very tasty. I may be back, I may not be. If I could get a burger a la carte without paying the full price of burger *AND* fancy fries, I definitely would.

By far my favorite food truck in Louisville. Everything is fresh and made to order, including their delicious dipping sauces and homemade ketchup. I highly recommed the Inferno Burger. Pepperjack cheese, Siracha mayo, and jalepenos. Yes please! I do not consider myself a fan of french fries but their’s are so good; nice and crispy!

The Throwback is amazing with aged white cheddar, and I suggest adding bacon. Bacon is perfectly cooked all nice and crispy. Best damn burger truck in town!

Delicious burgers, they use pretzel salt on their french fries which is GENIUS. They are worth hunting down for lunch. Very creative menu!

I first sampled Black Rock Grille’s burgers at the Phood Truck Fest a few weeks ago. My wife got the Throwback(burger with aged cheddar) and I got the Stink and Swine(burger with Gorgonzola and smoked bacon). Both burgers were delicious as were the crispy seasoned French Fries that came with them. My only beef(absolutely no pun intended) with them was that we’d ordered the burgers to be cooked Medium and they were both Well Done. However, it was a terribly busy afternoon, with long lines of people at every food truck. So the vendors were under pressure to serve food at a brisk pace to keep everyone happy; in situations like that, it is understandable if everything does not meet your expectations. Besides, as I mentioned earlier, the burgers tasted great. A few weeks after the Phood Truck Fest, I happened to see Black Rock Grille’s truck near my office building. This time, I got the Inferno burger(Pepperjack cheese, Cajun spices, jalapenos, sriracha mayo, onions) — it was excellent! I sliced it in half to save the rest for another meal but it was so good(and I was feeling particularly ravenous) that I ended up gobbling up the whole thing.
