Best burger ever!!! Went there after swim meet with 3 swimmers! I got the salmon burger on the Highland burger! Amazing! Fried capers! Everyone loves it! Go straight there!

The Lexington burger gives me life. This is where you go for the best greasy diner burger and fresh fries. But they stay busy and will sometimes turn you away. It’s disappointing but once you eat there you’ll understand. They are too good to be that small of a place.

I would say the only complaint for this place is that I would want more seating. The burgers are delicious and love the way they make the onion rings here.

Great place for a burger in Louisville. The resturant is small and almost has a take out vibe more so than a eat in feel. There are a couple of tables inside though so you can eat in. The cashier/cook was friendly and kind. The only problem I experienced is that there soda machine was broke but not a huge issue. The burgers had great flavor and there fries where very good and fresh. This is a place I would definitely coming back to if I’m around Baxter Ave.

Pissed we starved at thunder over Louisville because we planned on going here to eat we do LOVE the food but we get there at 10:10pm the guy tells us it’s going to be a minute and we sit there and have the people we are with look at the menu after telling them how great it is all day and that are open till 2am. Then when decide to order they say oh we decided to go ahead close Sorry! Ughhhhhhhh now sitting in thunder traffic still hungry and very MAD!

Burgers are fantastic! I am giving 4 stars because the restaurant only has four tables inside, and a couple on the sidewalk, and it can feel a bit cramped sometimes when it is busy.

Having been on a «best burger in Louisville» quest we had to visit Bunz Burgerz. We arrived early and snagged one of the few inside tables. That was not a problem as many people seemed to come in, order and head back out. I loved the option to build my own burger. I get all of the craft hamburgers — really I do — but there are times when you want the real deal just the way you like it. We ordered onion rings and fries so that we could sample both. I did not expect the onion rings to be house made but surprise — they were! Bunz uses purple onions for their rings and they were really tasty! The fellow who took our orders got both correct which is a feat because we added lots of personalized toppings. The food was hot, fresh and perfectly cooked. We both liked it and will return for one of Bunz many specialty burgerzzzzz.

In a Sea of pizza places and Irish Pubs, a burger joint is just what the Highlands needed. Bunz is located next door to Wick’s. It is small with a few tables inside and a few on the sidewalk. They offer a variety of burgers– turkey, salmon, beef. I ordered the Hawaiian with a side of sweet potato fries. Both were tasty. The Hawaiian had a sweet flavor with pineapple and a slightly spicy sauce. The sweet potato fries were crunchy with a side of honey for dipping. The food is 4 stars but the friendliness of the guys at the counter and the cleanliness of the tables along with the totally empty condiment bottles made me go with 3 stars.

This place is awesome! The food is delicious and you get alot for the price. My husband and I ate there and it only costed us about $ 22 for the both of us and we had more than enough. The onion rings are a must. Cute décor if you are able eat inside for a change of scenery.

Best burger in town! Friendly staff mixed with a delicious meal make Bunz the best Burger place in Louisville. The beer cheese burger is my favorite

If you are looking for an amazing burger, check this place out now! The selection of burgers were varied and all looked delicious but I chose the Santa Fe(pepper jack cheese, bacon, tomato, avocado, Bunz sauce). The pepper jack cheese gave it a bit of a kick, the bacon was crispy, and the avocado creamy. The fries they have were crispy and not too salty. I look forward to trying other selections from here. Please try this place!

I had one damn good burger here! I had the Baxter Ave(made it a single), with the cheese and sauce and fried egg… it was so good! Hit the spot! Made me gain 15 pounds just eating it! I was expecting it to be suuuuper greasy, but it really wasn’t. It was just very tasty. I can’t even physically imagine eating it as a double cheeseburger! I also shared some fries with my dining companion. I heard only after the fact that we should have gotten some Bunz sauce to dip them in. I can’t believe it has taken me this long to actually try it, but I can guarantee that I will be back!

The best burger I’ve had in Louisville, aside from Jack Fry’s.(But Jack Fry’s is a whole different thing, and about twice the price.) Bunz does a lot of things right. They don’t freeze their burgers. They use a screaming hot flat top to get a great crust. Their patties are ¼ pound, and most burgers come with two. The fries and onion rings are cooked to order. The Red State is my personal favorite: hot sauce, jalapenos, two patties, spicy pickles, mayo, and bacon. Great spice that helps to balance out some of the fattiness of the paties. My wife gets the beer cheese: double burger(although she only gets one because she’s a lady), bacon, pickles, beer cheese, and Bunz sauce.(Bunz sauce is kinda like McDonalds’ secret sauce, but better.) The beer cheese is good and has some sweetness to it. Re: the sides, the fries and onion rings are fantastic. Skinny fries that get nice crispiness. And the onion rings are made with red onions, which I’ve never had before, but which I like very much. I consider myself allergic to paying over 10 $ for a burger. There’s no reason places are charging 14 $+ for burgers, especially when you think about ingredients. It’s getting ridiculous. At Bunz, you can get a double burger + side + drink for about 10 – 11 $. That’s a good value, and that’s why I’ll keep coming back to Bunz. Also note that you can get any double burger as a single. The only knock on the place is that it’s very small inside with maybe 5 tables.

Bunz is one of the places that makes Louisville such a great town. Situated on Baxter Avenue in the trendy Highlands Neighborhood, Bunz is a hole the wall burger joint that fits right in with its Bardstown road neighbors. It’s pretty cozy, with four tables inside, each of which will seat about four people, but on warmer days you can sit outside and people watch while enjoying your meal. They have a very straight forward menu. You can choose what kind of burger you’d like from either a single or double beef patty, veggie, turkey, grilled chicken, or portabella mushroom and then you can choose a variety of toppings to go with it(always take the Bunz sauce, it’s a nice addition to any burger). The burger is made fresh on the grill, and after a short wait you’ll have a delicious burger. If you don’t feel like creating your own burger, they have a number of signature burgers that you can choose from. I personally would recommend the Lexington Bunz, if you are in the mood for something just a little different. In addition to the burgers they have fries in a variety of permutations, onion rings, and salad. The fries are usually very good and go great with Bunz sauce. If you are in the mood for burger, or are looking for a quick bite to eat, skip the fast food chains and give Bunz a try.

I thought I’d never eat at a place with a name like this, but somehow one night I did(Taco Luchador was closed for some weird reason) and now there’s NOTURNINGBACK! OMG the burgers are so delish! Bluegrass is good, Grind is fine, but BUNZ is divine!

This is one of those places that you could see every day but never make it in, and that would be a huge mistake! Bunz has the best burgers in town, and now you can even order ahead of time for carryout! Today, I had the Santa Fe burger and the SO had the Red State burger. They added a few new burgers to the menu in the past few months, and the Santa Fe is my new favorite. It features bacon, avocado, Bunz sauce and pepper jack cheese. It is a juicy burger already, but the Bunz sauce takes it over the edge. I could eat it every day. The Red State is a double patty with hot sauce, pickles, jalapenos, pepper jack and mayo. The SO says he loves the tangy spicy combination of this burger. We also added on a basket of hot fries, which are tossed in a house-made buffalo sauce. The aren’t overly spicy but have a great flavor. No other fries even compare. We order those fries every time, and we always finish the basket. It’s kind of a greasy spoon feel inside, so people weirded out by that probably won’t like the atmosphere. Also if there’s a few people in front of you then expect to wait at least 15 minutes for your food, but it’s definitely worth it! And the best part is that you can now sidestep the wait by ordering ahead of time on-line. Perfection!

I’m not sure if this place is really good or really awful. Probably both. I got the Lexington.(I think that’s what it is called?) It’s the one with the onion ring and bbq sauce on it. Well, it was very good. I genuinely enjoyed the burger. But, it was DRIPPING with grease. I know, I know. You’ll say, «Umm. It is a HAMBURGER. Hamburgers are greasy!» *sigh* I get that. But this was on another level. The grease was probably one of the reasons it tasted as well as it did, but it caused me have a pretty upset stomach. That COULD be because I’m not used to eating such bad food. So when I do, it causes harm. The onion rings are great. They use red onion. Kinda cool. Don’t usually see that. I like the Bunz sauce. Kinda like a honey mustard type of thing going on there. I walked into the bathroom to wash my hands. When I walked in, I just looked around and said, «Oh My God.» Pretty gross bathroom. But you know — I kind of expected that. And would have been disappointed had it not been as gross as it was. 4 stars. Unless you hate greasy burgers and grotesque bathrooms. Then 2 stars.

Let’s start by saying… This was a DAMNGOODBURGER!!! I’m home alone on a Saturday night, I don’t feel like taking to the kitchen, so I decide to indulge myself with a tasty burger. I knew this place was off Baxter Ave and wasn’t far. Decided to make this dinner right before heading to Springhurst to meet my husband. I do not regret it — at all! Now… I will tell you I passed by the place the first time. My GPS is on and it’s telling me the place is on the right side but I just don’t see it. That’s because this ain’t no fancy shmancy, grand marquee, ultra inviting place. Instead it’s a place with a sitting area the size of a NY apartment with a simple sign on the door. Either way… I’ve heard good things and I’m going in. I finally find parking, cross the street, walk in and I can feel my face kind of cringe up as I’m wondering where the rest is. Our FL dive scene is nowhere near this! But if I’ve learned anything so far in Louisville, I’m in for a treat. Walk to the counter and the cool guy with a lip piercing asks how he can help me. His voice isn’t abrasive or rushed, he’s smiling and can tell I’ve never been. I order the Baxter Avenue. He takes to the flat top and starts laying stuff out… and boy does my mouth start watering! Bacon, Egg, Double Patty… yum yum yum. I ask him a little about the Bunz Sauce and he offers to let me taste it. He asks me if I want my yolk cooked, I tell him runny is good. He’s laughs and says… I’m glad I asked and continues to assemble a burger fit for the Godz! A little tomato, lettuce, jalapenos, hot sauce and it’s done. So, I gather my burger and head to my car. Before I know it… I’m opening my burger up and scarfing down half the burger before I even turn the ignition. Just the aroma of a well cooked burger… I couldn’t resist. I start driving after cleaning up my face and make it to meet my husband. Then guess what… He smells the burger in the car and says… let’s go get one for me! So within an hour I’m back in Bunz ordering the same exact thing. Dude is literally chuckling when he sees me walk in! Either way, hubz totally enjoyed his burger and since this is one of the few things he loves… I know we WILL be back. As I mentioned earlier… this is a DAMNGOODBURGER! I could have used a little seasoning on the patty and yes, it’s a bit on the greasy side. But I think that’s what makes it what it is. And for a burger that good after 12am(on the weekend), I can’t complain.
