Avoid this location. Originally I took my laptop in to be repaired. I was told I needed a new hard drive. I agreed to pay for the $ 34.00 diagnostics fee and $ 170.00 for the parts and services rendered. After receiving my «like new» laptop back, it does not power on correctly and it has multiple error messages on each start up. After returning to the store as soon as I could which happened to be 16 days later, I am told that I have a virus, already, and the only way to fix the issue is by purchasing the«lifetime protection plan» which I was never informed on the initial visit. I then asked what the hard drive was worth to see if I could recoup any money and they offered me $ 20 for it. To pick up my laptop, I paid an additional $ 34 for the second diagnostics check and have a computer that can’t be turned on without removing the power cord and battery to reset it. After already spending over $ 200, I was told it would be at least that to fix what was never taken care of in the first place. Basically from what I gathered, if you don’t purchase the lifetime protection plan, any repairs you may have done are worthless and not guaranteed. I will not be retuning to this business in the future and would warn anyone that inquires about them. I work in sales and customer service industry and this was the poorest display of effort I’ve experienced in quite some time.

I went to Computers Plus at 4904 Shelbyville Rd., in Louisville, KY, & I purchased their best Premium VPX Custom Built Computer package with extras, made multiple [5+] trips over fifty minutes away from my home when the computer was supposedly ready, only to find out: The first Intel i7 processor that they ordered came but was damaged [not necessarily their fault], they did not install the DVD Writer drive that was supposed to be included, installed a different BluRay drive than what I payed extra to put in(which I let slide due to so many other issues), the extra 4-port USB3.0 front panel was not ready & they were ready to send me home without both the DVD Writer &4-port USB3.0, they mentioned nothing about needing an extra PCIe card to gain another 20-pin connector for the USB3.0 front panel & tried to charge me extra for ordering & installing it after everything else mentioned above, they advertised the motherboard was supposed to be able to be upgraded from 16GB ram up to 24GB ram but installed literally the cheapest ASUS motherboard that I later saw online for $ 46 that says right on the back of the box, «max. 16GB ram», two of their employees both a sales associate and a computer technician LIED to me saying the motherboard was capable of up to 24GB, the motherboard included less USB3.0 slots than I was told it would have when I purchased the computer… Now, I am forced to have to redo hours & hours of installing music production & misc software after I take the computer back in this week to get another motherboard installed. If they would not have lied to me when they sent me home with the cheap motherboard computer, this could have already been resolved. Thankfully, I spoke with a manager(possibly from the other Louisville location) who said they would make this right & a new motherboard with more of the features promised will be arriving soon. I have been as patient as I can be and gave them the benefit of the doubt, but this location of Computers Plus at 4904 Shelbyville Rd., in Louisville, KY, will not be getting any more of my money or trust for anything else, regardless of all the extra work I had in mind to use their services. Overall, this experience was terrible, one that I hope to never encounter again with a business from which I expected much more. I certainly did not expect the attempt to be cheated out of what I payed for, when I was purchasing supposedly their best VPX Premium package. On the flip side, I have heard great things about the other Louisville, KY, location, so if you need the services this company provides, I would go there instead. Research everything you are purchasing to make sure you are getting what you paid for. I feel like I just bought a Lamborghini or a Ferrari & was sent home to see it has all the guts of a Geo Metro.
