Not a. very good first impression. Front desk was helpful and courteous, but it went down from there. Sometime after 11:00 pm when we were all tucked in, another guest was given a key to our room and opened the door. Good thing we had the security lock set. Then in the morning while getting ready to get in the shower, we found no floor mat, one bath towel, but lots of signs telling us how all those products were for sale. I’m not interested in buying those things, but expect them to be part of standard equipment in every room I stay in. So if they want my business again, they’ll have to try harder and instruct there cleaning staff not to leave a room until it’s completely stocked, before trying to sell those things.

Excellent front desk — very friendly. The room I had was spacious and clean. One of the nicer bathrooms I have seen. Bed and pillows were comfortable, and parking is right out front — no long hauls with the luggage. The highway is nearby, which is a mixed blessing — convenient location, with a bit of road noise(which isn’t that bad, honestly). Right near several other hotels, including a Fairfield, and I’m glad I chose this one!

Hotel is your standard what you would expect Country Inn and Suites. Our room was worn, but they have signs saying they are remodeling. It is right by the expressway. Noise not a problem on far end of hotel. Staff was friendly. Sadly there were very loud groups during our stay.

The Country Inn & Suites in Louisville East is a pleasant enough property that is worth a 4 star rating. Let me explain: Pros: + Front desk staff were all terrific. When presented with questions, they were always friendly and helpful. + Breakfast was reasonable, with varied options from day to day. Included fresh bananas and apples as well. It was a step up from the usual Country Inn selection. + Room was spacious, and heating/cooling worked properly. + Television guide was actually accurate — meaning if I wanted to watch ESPN, I knew what channel it was on. You’d be surprised how often this is wrong in hotels I have stayed at. Cons: — A bit of a schlep from downtown Louisville. It’s a 20 minute drive into downtown. — Speaking of a drive, it is right beside the highway, meaning that you can hear the drone of highway traffic. Never got bothersome, but it can be an issue for some people. — The business center computer had a blown out speaker. It kept hissing, and couldn’t be turned off. — Stayed on a Club Carlson points reservation, but my final bill indicated a $ 40/day charge. Front desk clarified that this had to be done in their system, but not sure why? I didn’t get charged, but it just seemed confusing and unnecessary. Altogether, for its price point, it is a reasonable place for you to stay. I would return to this hotel if I came back to Louisville, if the price were right.

Longest check in ever to a hotel. Would’ve walked out of if it wasn’t almost 3 in the morning! Over 30 minutes to get our room key. Our bed was so hard. I think the floor would’ve been more comfortable. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

I love Country Inn & Suites. Their beds are comfortable and their suites, spacious and well-appointed. Although, I didn’t partake of their breakfast, my husband and I were frequent visitors to the cookie bin. Yum! I also love the fact that they provide a lending library based on the honesty policy. The staff is pleasant and will go out of their way to make your stay the very best. Thanks to Tammy and the rest of the staff for allowing us to stay until it was time to depart for the airport. we stayed at two separate locations during a road trip. Rate specials seem to fluctuate from location to location. We paid more for a night in Clinton TN vs Louisville KY? Accomodations are consistent and reliable. The rooms work well for the kids and there’s plenty of room for a family, plus mini functioning kitchen space. The comp breakfast in the morning helps as well. The book share program in the lobby has been a mainstay that has always been a nice perk with this chain.
