I genuinely loved this flea market. I wound up buying more things from it than any of the other local flea markets. This was because the prices seemed reasonable, and the selection of sellers was large. Sorry to see from their site that they closed permanently April 30th. I am watching for a relocation announcement. ‘Haven’t seen one yet. Sometimes, these places just fade away(like the original Goss Avenue Antique Mall after it had moved to East Broadway). It tells a tale — meaning left to the reader — about the current economy when used/junk/thrift places close down.

I love the Dixie Trading Post! My husband or mother in law and I go every few weeks. I’ve found a ton of deals here and it’s a lot if fun to look around. It’s one of the nicer peddler’s malls and there doesn’t seem to be a lot of junk like at others. They keep it pretty clean too and the staff is always friendly.

Although I believe it’s changed hands a time or two, Dixie Trading Post remains one of the better Peddler Malls in town. Better than the one that sits in the old shopping center off Dixie near Texas Roadhouse, better than many others I’ve been. Large without being overly large, I always find something I may think I need or want, and it makes for a nice walkabout when I have a little time to kill.

An upscale Peddler’s Mall. You should see no grocery booths, motorcycles, random t-shirt stands here. Seems to be quite busy most of the time too — getting new items frequently. We missed out on an awesome chest, but got a sofa table we’re using for a tv stand. Will be back from time to time.

I wish I’d discovered this place sooner. Nice, large facility with a wide variety of items from which to choose — furniture, collectibles and, sure, some junk. But isn’t the best part of treasure hunting digging for that«gold?» Prices were very reasonable. I walked out with a school desk/chair, four wooden picture frames and a great old wooden dairy crate for $ 40. Will definitely go back.

This is one of the many«open 7 days» type of flea markets that have sprung up everywhere in the last decade or better. The booths are individually owned and the facility is managed by a few employees. I like these types because, unlike traditional flea markets, I enjoy browsing the booths without individual owners trying to sell me things I don’t need. There is nothing really special about this location. Of course, if you like flea markets, it doesn’t have to be! The more the merrier! Good: Worth stopping at because there is a decent amount of booths here that will occupy a good chunk of an afternoon. Bad: Awkward entrance from the road. The entrance is positioned slightly askew from a traffic light and I can never figure out if the entrance is governed by this light or not. A right turn when exiting is nearly impossible… one almost always has to turn left. Locals who like flea markets should certainly visit. For those visiting Louisville, I would say certainly visit if you are in this part of town.
