I have just moved to Louisville and was searching for a new hair stylist, a pretty scary thing. I looked at Unilocal reviews for my area and several came up. Echo had superior reviews and she was very close by. I bit the bullet and made an appointment. The day of the appointment arrived, I was still looking at different cuts on the internet the morning of the cut. I had been texting Echo and she asked me to send her any pictures of styles I liked so she could get an idea what direction I was going.
I liked her immediately and the shop she works out of is very nice and modern. We talked for a few minutes while Echo moved my hair around, brushed it to see how it fell, etc. What I liked the best is that she does it all, cuts, washes, dries and styles, I wasn’t handed off to an «assistant». My cut is spot on — I’m thrilled with what she did and it is exactly what I was hoping for, short and sassy. Next week she will be coloring it, Echo showed me some shades of red that will look fantastic — I can’t wait.
I don’t think you will be disappointed, Echo listens to what you are saying, gives her opinion and is a master with scissors. If you’re looking for a new stylist or just tired with your current one give her a call.

I get asked on a regular basis who cuts my hair (what better testament is there?!?), and I’ve referred any friends and family members to Echo. The first time I went to her, I instantly felt comfortable (going to new stylists is stressful!). She’s stylish and creative, but also works to get to know your needs and style to get a great fit. I also really like that I never feel rushed during our appointments.

I always get compliments on my haircuts from Echo! She listens to what I want and really spends time making sure everything looks good. Her prices are always fair and she’s great to talk to!

Echo is just the best. I went in with hair that was frizzy and uneven, and after asking for an ambitious cut and color on my super dark hair, I left with my hair smoother and stronger! How does this happen after some intense lightening on my long black hair? Well, Echo just knows what she’s doing, and has the best products available to complement her skills.
I left with a lovely head of rainbow hair, and couldn’t be happier that Echo is my forever-​stylist.

Wow. I was truly amazed by my hair cut. I have long hair that was looking kind of boring even though I had existing layers. Echo kept my length but some how gave me an entirely new, amazing hair style. I told her I rarely style my hair so I wanted it to dry looking good and after my first shower with my new hair cut I was astonished. My hair dried naturally looking like I actually woken up and put some waves in. She worked magic with the way she cut my hair because it brought out waves I never even knew I had, gives me tons of volume and compliments my face shape. When I run my fingers through my hair it now feels so light, easily moveable, falls back into place nicely. By far the best hair cut and style I’ve ever had.

This lady is seriously solid gold. I went for a consult. I never had anyone do such a thorough job of checking out my hair and asking what I wanted to do with it and really taking the time to make sure she understood. Then she washed, cut & styled my hair. Let me just tell you: the wash alone is magic. I got a head & neck massage & my scalp has the tingles just thinking about it. She took about 90 minutes with me. The cut? Omg amazing. The best haircut I have had in a long time. I am in love. The cut takes my hair color, texture, thickness and direction of growth all into mind and what happens is I have the haircut that my hair was made for. So it’s really really easy to style and looks great no matter how lazy I am with it (I have really short hair with some areas of length and some spikes going on so I do style it; it’s not fun to just wash & wear with my tastes). I have had a problem with my darker hair color bleeding into my highlights when I wash my hair after coloring; Echo mixed me a conditioner with my highlight color in it to combat this problem. It’s a big help. She styled my hair exactly how I like it (this is rare: usually stylists don’t do it how I do) and used some nice products that work really well that I’ll probably buy. I’m going back soon for a double-​process color. Her haircut price included wash & style and was a price I’ll gladly pay. Her coloring prices are excellent. Plus she is nice and funny and has just a great style and personality. I find this important too: if my stylist is not stylish, chances are the cut won’t be stylish either. And let’s face it: we love to chat with our hair stylists.

Echo is super talented with cut and color. I appreciate her down to earth personality and ability to adapt my haircuts based on my life at the moment. She handles my half curly half straight hair with total finesse. Highly recommend!

Echo was amazing! I went without a haircut for a couple of years due to a bad experience at another salon. It was long, broken, and way overdue for some style. Echo asked me to send her a pic of my hair so she could be thinking about my cut prior to my appointment… That made me much less nervous. Then she sent me a recommendation so I could be thinking about what I wanted. The color and cut are WONDERFUL and exceeded my expectations! I will definitely be back!!!

I have truly never had better customer service as I received from Echo when I visited her for the first time in late February. I found her through Unilocal and the comments of previous posters were the endorsements I needed to make my initial appointment with her.
I went in with a sheaf of pictures and after giving me a bottle of water, we got settled in and went through all the different pages. Echo very frankly explained why a cut would or wouldn’t work; whether it was because my hair didn’t have enough wave or she understood my sensitivity to my jowlyness and the cut simply wouldn’t be flattering, the process of the consultation was new and exhilarating. It was an education and I appreciated how actively she listened. She asked me about the best haircut I ever had and what made it great. She even called her next scheduled client and asked if they could start a little later so we weren’t rushed.
She works methodically, thoughtfully. Every snip or slice of the razor is done with precision. I got the sense that she could see a few steps ahead to what was going to be and understood the subtle cuts to get there.
At one point I closed my eyes because I knew we were coming into the homestretch and I always love the surprise of that first look in the mirror when the cut is complete. When I opened my eyes and saw my hair, my fabulous hair, I teared up. I actually put my face in my hands and looked back again to make sure it was me. I looked at Echo standing behind me in the mirror and choked out the words, «you get me». She said it was the best compliment she’s gotten. And I have the best haircut I have ever gotten!

Echo is the best; she knows her stuff when it comes to color and she always gives such a great cut that I often get away with going a little longer than I should between visits. She takes pride in her work and does all she can to make sure her customers are pleased with their hair when they leave her chair. Highly recommend.

Echo is an amazing stylist. She has a knack for knowing what I want before I do, and her instinct for color is outstanding. She styles my whole family, which includes three VERY different hair types, and everyone is always happy with their results. I walk out of Echo’s looking like a hair commercial!

I have followed this woman everywhere. She does my hair, and my wife’s. Color for the wife. I walk in looking like a mad scientist, and walk out looking like I will not be sitting on the defense side of a court room anytime soon.
Not only does she do a great job, she’s also nice.
