With so many furniture stores and furniture consignment stores in Louisville alone, I would say that beyond the inventory and prices, the customer service is what sets them all apart. Eyedia unfortuantly is over priced and also lacks in the customer service aspect. I have seen a couple of items in this store that I have seen department stores carry at full price and they state the original price being even more than the department store price and listing it as a «deal» when its marked down in their store. Just seems like a not so honest way of marking stuff up an lying about it for some hand me down accessories. Going back to the customer service… I have been in this store 4 times already, mainly because it is on my way home from work and I just purchased a new home in Old Louisvilel and have been working hard at furnishing it and spending quite a bit money doing so… but I feel like being a 26 year old male, the assumption that I wouldnt purchase a $ 200 chair is used here as every time I walked in I have never been greeted. The registers are in front of the entrance off to the right so it isnt like I am not noticed once walking in, with the door sensor going off. All I have gotten was a head lifted up or neck turn to see who just came in. However, the middle aged ladies and older gentlemen coming in afterwards gets a nice hello and a «what can I help you find today»?

I’m highly impressed at the quality and design of the used furniture that makes it’s way into this place. The merchandising is excellent, and gives the visitors a chance to see the goods in a home like setting, with doo dads and such making it look like home. Plus, prices are clearly marked, and go down with time.
