So much better than Home Run. The burgers are high quality, the fries are always crispy, your toppings are unlimited, and the staff is the friendliest fast-food staff I have ever met. The restaurants are clean and I can always get in and out quickly. The junior burger is normal size and the normal burger is gigantic(for me). Always grill your onions and if you like spice order the brown mustard! However — if you are going to complain about greasy food, fast-food just opt for someplace else. The burgers are greasy, the cheese is melty, and its fantastic!

I always love a good burger. Five Guys has a really good ones. Love trying new specialty burgers and new burger joints. Found that most bars have the best, until I came here. But today I am tried their Bacon Cheese Dog. Well the dog it self was good. The bacon was overly cooked, and hard. I like my bacon with charring marks but still flimsy. If you are like me, then keep that in mind a remember to ask for less crispy, unless u like it burnt and brittle. Have a good day

Burgers were good. Fries were awesome. Short little dork working the register had zero people skills. I’m sure he will ascend to head toilet cleaner some day. I think something is wrong with him, but he just pissed me off! Put him in a non people position.

Great location, and as always… Great food. Word to the wise, the small order of fries feeds 2, the regular order can probably feed 4. Same goes for the burgers. Make sure you get it All The Way and Cajun up those fries!

As a foreigner I’ve never tried Five Guy’s ever in my life and I’ve heard my American friends talking soooooo much about it, so I gave it a try… Apparently the only thing I like from this place is the peanuts.

This was my first visit to a Five Guys and my only expectations were awesome fries, so I heard. I wish it were true… the fries were flavorful yet lukewarm at best, too greasy and soft, not the way I like my fries. My cheese burger was cold, ¾ of the way melted cheese and sorta soggy… The Service was a little slow & for the quality of the food I feel like it was a little over priced.

First I’d like to say Im a huge burger guy ! Any kind any style. As far as fast food burgers go this has to be one of the best in area. Coming from Southern California and growing up eating In and Out this comes very close to that. A big mouth full of burger, plenty of fries(almost too many) and plenty of options to top the burger off. The only BAD thing I would have to say is for a fast food style burger it’s kinda pricey(about $ 10 a meal) but worth it in my opinion. Warning !! If you’re allergic to peanuts … Don’t even walk in the doors peanuts everywhere !

My husband and I stopped in for a quick bite! The food was amazing!!! We both had a lettuce wrapped bacon cheeseburger sandwich. My mouth is still watering just thinking about it! AND we had the Cajun fries! AmAzInG!!! Definitely coming back! A little bit more than In-N-Out back in California; but was great nonetheless!!! Keep up the great work!!!

Great burgers but way to over priced. I got two little burgers and one fry two regular drinks. And it was over 20 $ seriously! I do not see myself going back here with more than just myself. That is just too much for two burgers.

Some times you just need a greasy burger. Well you can get it here. This would be my third burger place. Behind smashburger and home run burger. I like a great value but they give way too many fries for an order(crazy to say) but I end up throwing more than half away. They do use peanut oil and advertise it so my wife can’t eat there.

I have been wanting to try out 5 Guys for some time. I was close by today so I decided it was a good time for lunch. Like others have said the service was very good, fast and very friendly. The floor looked clean enough to eat from. The food however was another story. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with assorted fresh toppings and regulars fries. To my surprise the bun was soggy, the cheese not melted and the burger was pink in the middle. The fries were greasy and very salty. And way more than any one person can eat. The burger was just OK. There was no WOW factor which was very disappointing as I expected much more for an almost $ 12.00 burger meal. There are so many other better burger choices I don’t think I’ll go back.

I love Five Guys and do not understand all the low star reviews. My usual is a little bacon cheeseburger(with toppings) and my husband and I split a regular fry. The«little» cheeseburgers are still decent size and the regular fry provides plenty for the two of us. The customer service is always good and the food is oh so delicious!

If you are looking for a real burger, then this is the place. They make them your way, with a variety of free toppings. I do, however, wish my burger would have been a bit hotter and my cheese melted more. I also would have like to had more seasoning on the fries.

Let me begin by saying if I were rating this Five Guys on the customer service it would be 5STARS hands down. There were no less than 10 employees that I could see. 2 taking orders, 6 behind the line, 1 continually cleaning the dining area and 1 that seemed to be doing a little bit of everything. Kudos to these folks below… CASHIER: Chelsea G., was welcoming and genuinely friendly. She also saved me from ordering the regular sized fries offering me the Little Fry instead, plenty of fries for one person. COOKS: All wearing gloves! FOODEXPEDITOR: Handed me my bag with a :) and a thank you. CLEANER: Great job keeping the front of the house clean! Now on to the food… This was my first visit to a Five Guys and my only expectations were awesome fries, so I heard. I wish it were true… the fries were flavorful yet lukewarm at best, too greasy and soft, not the way I like my fries. My grilled cheese-lukewarm, ¾ of the way melted cheese and sorta soggy… the food needs some improvement ASAP! I would recommend serving the grilled cheese in something that doesn’t allow the steam to make it soggy, cook the fries a little longer and just slow down. I appreciate the extremely quick service to a point, however if you guys would take just a couple extra minutes per order the quality of the food will skyrocket.

HRRMMM. Ok, I’m a little torn here. I’m thinking maybe it deserves another star but even pushing it to three was a stretch and I’m only doing that because my youngest actually ate his entire burger. The truth of it is, I’ve had better at lower prices. I’ve now been to Smashburger, Home Run Burgers, Bluegrass and several other noted burger joints in and around Louisville, and while 5 Guys likely has the most notoriety, I found the burger itself to be lacking. Nothing really wrong with it, simply mediocre with little to set it apart from the ever-expanding crowd. Decent sized patty with no notable spices and slightly overcooked, variety of toppings is OK, fairly standard sesame seed bun(huh?) and a bag full of handcut fries(kinda soggy, definitely greasy.) My initial thinking is they should be able to cut a couple guys out of this and lower their prices a bit as I’m searching to figure out what strategic offering 2 – 3 more fellas would have provided. Maybe one guy digs for the potatoes and the other gets the peanuts. Well, if that’s the case, I can appreciate them including their laborers but they forgot to put their stock in the back.

I don’t get it. People seem to rave about this place. I LOVE a good burger but this place is not a good burger. I had the luxury of living in Southern California for a decade and ate In-N-Out once a week. Moving to Kentucky was a downer because the nearest In-N-Out is in Texas, so I tried 5 guys. The portions are GINORMOUS but who wants a big burger and a bunch of fries if they suck? I usually love a greasy spoon, but this isn’t a greasy spoon. I guess if you’re a hipster or someone who’s never experienced an actual good fast food burger this place would be ok. But if you have taste, bypass 5 guys.

Want some fries with that salt? I had high hopes for this place. With the burger becoming quite the fad as of late and places like Five Guys, In-N-Out Burger, Smashburger and Home Run Burgers popping up, I finally had the chance to try Five Guys and give my thoughts. I found it weird and interesting that the overflow of their potatoes, peanut oil and whatever can not fit in the back room was laid right out as you walked to the counter. This is a huge problem for them, but I will get to that later. Much like the other three places I aforementioned, the ordering style is very much the same. You pick which burger you want, the plethora of toppings and then your choice of fries, either plain or Cajun. The price for a Bacon Cheeseburger, regular soda and fries came to about 11 and change. After eating everything, I thought the price was too high. The burger was decent. Nothing to really complain about there but the price. The fries however were outrageously salty and there were way too many for one to eat alone unless you are like that guy that recently ate over 20 pieces of fish at an all-you-can-eat buffet. My paper bag was overflowing with the saltiest fries I have ever eaten. So back to those bags of potatoes laid out like the red brick road when you first walk in. I always wondered where the red brick road led to and now I know. I am no accountant, but I feel Five Guys could save tens or hundreds of thousands by buying less potatoes and a more appropriate portion size. It was a waste and I heard my mother’s voice echoing in my head about starving people around the world and here we have Five Guys just throwing food away. If I knew there were to be so many fries, I would not have ordered them. On a better note, the service was great and very helpful. Whether they are trying to compete with the overly nice team over at Smashburger or vice versa, Smashburger takes the cake on this one. For a review that was supposed to be about a burger that turned into a rant about fries and prices, I would pass on this place in the future unless certain things change. Support a local company like Home Run Burgers and perhaps Five Guys will see whats wrong with their model.

The burgers are good. The buns? Gummy and not good. The cajun fries are fine, skin on-style, but they were soggy. I prefer crispy fries. I liked all the topping options for the burgers and dogs and they were delish(great, hot jalepenos). The atmosphere? Its like eating IN the kitchen, loud, not very inviting.

I love this place, but thankfully it is just far enough from the house. If I had one down the street I would be in serious trouble because these burgers are one of the best in town. I first had Five Guys Burgers in Georgia and was very excited to see them come to town. Not sure how they do it, but the meat, cheese, and toppings somehow melt together into one great burger. At some places the topping tend to fall off and don’t seem to mesh well with the burger, but not here. The fries are awesome too, but you only need a regular the large can feed a family of 4. Fast service and a great product is a recipe for success in any business.

MR says … this is the IN and OUT burger of louisville MRS says … i love peanuts and the fact they served bulk peanuts ~ its as good as it gets! no questions on portions. my goodness! if i’ve known how generous their portions are on french fries i could have shared with MR but fries were that good i had to make room. don’t be fooled by their«LITTLE» burgers … it’s not«LITTLE» at all, if you’re a giant likely but average AMERICAN size it’s enough to fill your stomach. they load your burgers with all the fixing you like. to the max!
