I attempted to inform this shop they are culturally appropriating with their name combined with the hobo-​style clothing they sell. They flippantly said they don’t care. It is racist, it perpetuates false negative stereotypes. Gypsies are an ethnic minority. Not homeless hobos. There is apartheid in Europe against Gypsies because of people like this who refuse to educate themselves and stop appropriating other people’s cultures. Their treatment towards me was inexcusable. It was tactless. We are trying desperately to educate people about who we are so we can end the racism towards us, but people like this only aide the racists.
