I attempted to reach management after our 2nd awful experience. I did not get a message back. It’s been 2 weeks. Server could not multi task, forgot specials several times and very neglectful. They changed details of the specials even after they were ordered. Food(main meal) was served 3 minutes after server finally brought my salad. I begged my husband to try this place again because we support local businesses, but, I am thoroughly disappointed with this establishment.

Ordered the burger and turkey ruben. I don’t usually fuss much about food. We went to Kate’s Place because we heard they have good burgers. Our food was average for the price. Seems like they want to be too upscale for such a small town.

Went here last night for dinner. Food was ok but service was terrible. I asked for a glass for my beer had to get it my self. My dinner and salad came at same time. Salad was on a warm plate. Needed some pepper so I had to get up and get it off a table. Then I watched every table get up to get things.

We visited this place for the first time tonight. There were five of us, and the hostess had to rearrange tables to seat us. This she did cheerfully and quickly. Our waitress was very bubbly and happily took our order. A few of us had the bean and ham hock soup which was delicious. The other entrées were equally as good and were quickly scarfed up. The chef even came out to see how we liked everything. What a wonderful place, we’ll go back next time we get a chance!

We have been here twice now and enjoyed it both times. It’s the only really nice restaurant in the Louisville area and I hope people will support it so it stays open. First, the setting is that of a vintage bar and grill. Wood booths line one side and an antique oak bar with beautiful mirrors line the other. The front windows are all stained glass and the high ceiling is made of old fashioned tin tiles. The menu is small, which it should be to ensure quality and freshness, and they offer daily specials. During our most recent visit, my husband had the Caesar salad and a steak. The salad was large and came with freshly made croutons. The steak was tender and cooked exactly as ordered. I had the tomato bisque which was obviously made in the restaurant, not served from a can. It came out piping hot, was thick and flavorful and topped with fresh Parmesan. I also had the grilled cheese sandwich which was more upscale than it sounds. It was on french bread with several cheeses and served with sliced tomatoes and fabulous oven baked potato wedges, crisp and spicy. They have a large variety of craft beers to choose from and a decent wine list along with daily drink specials. On Tuesday nights, a nice quality Chardonnay was $ 3 a glass. The service is friendly and efficient and we felt very welcome. Everything I’ve seen come out of the kitchen looks delicious and both visits have been pleasant experiences. I plan to make this a regular stop.
