Massage Envy – Springhurst

If you can get past the revolving door of therapists if might work. I bought membership but have incredible trouble rescheduling an appointment with a regular therapist. After two months without an appointment I finally cancelled my membership but they would not refund me for those two months. I was told I will have to make appointment and use up those two within 60 days! The office manager told me she was doing me a favor!
I think I will just let them keep my two months credit rather than going there again. What an unprofessional organization! Stay clear!

I’ve been going to this Massage Envy for the past 6 – 8 months now. Every time, they were really great; and they always had new people at the desk (I’m assuming a high turnover rate). Either way, very nice and pleasant.
I went in there today for my 1pm appointment (which I make once a month). I was recently in a bad car accident; so I was looking forward to some relief. I went inside and they said that someone had cancelled my appointment. They couldn’t tell who cancelled it; and they offered to give me a complimentary massage. The manager moved mountains and helped me find another another location to get my massage in. They found one for next Saturday, since I am unable to do the weekdays. I’m very thankful for their help.

I’ve never written a review on Unilocal,but I knew I needed to after my recent facial at the Springhurst Massage Envy with esthetician Diana! While in Louisville for vacation, a friend recommended this location for spa treatments, and I was so delighted by my experience. The staff was so friendly and accommodating upon my arrival and I was taken right away. I wasn’t sure what to expect as I’d never been here before, but the spa room was immaculate. The bed was comfortable, lighting was calming, and Diana’s pleasant demeanor made my entire facial one of the most relaxing I’ve ever had! I loved that she listened to me, and asked all about my skin history. She was extremely knowledgable and knew right away what combination of products she would use on my skin. I was so impressed — if you’re coming to this location, I recommend requesting Diana!
Four days later, I was still getting compliments on my glowing skin. Highly recommend this location!

When it comes to massage, I am extremely picky and choosy! My mom has been a therapist for 27 years and I now what a massage therapist should ask and do! If my mother didn’t work 6 – 7 days a week and I saw her more than once a month, it would be easy to visit her… But I would rather not stress my mothers one day off in a month to massage e so Massage Envy was the next jump!
The atmosphere is clinical, clean, and calming. Paying $ 59 a month for a massage or a facial is ridiculously inexpensive and a steal. I can get an additional for for $ 39 or an hour in a half for $ 59. Again, less expensive than anywhere in the city!
The front gals and pals specialize in pairing you with a therapist that is going to best fit your specific needs, pressure, and modality. Your massage does not cost extra for deep tissue, foot work, reflexology, cranial sacral, etc. your session is customized to YOUR needs and desires. Yes, they are going to ask you a few questions when booking an appointment if you do not give them the type of massage you are looking for. It is considered a Therapeutic massage. Not a crappy massage like Z Salon and Spa or anywhere else in town has to offer. When it comes to massage, you don’t need to just relax. You need to work out the areas you experience tension, aches and pains, and tightness in. You can do it with a nice relaxation flow to keep you relaxed or stimulated! All you have to do is tell them what you want but a lot of people do not who was what they want. Again, that is why the questions they ask are so important! You may not know but they will help you figure it out.
As for the people that think the selling is annoying. All they gals and pals are doing is their job. You are getting an introductory price of $ 50 to try out the membership, prices, modalities, and therapists to see if it works for you. If it doesn’t fit your budget or you weren’t happy… Okay! But if you are going to get that membership price, you can wait a minute to hear about what the membership can do for your life!
Personally, it changed my life. I have committed to at least one hour in a half massage once a month since January and I can walk again. I was working 70 plus hours a week on my feet and could barely walk. I was in need of two surgeries and eventually both hips due to my body being completely out of place. My therapists found areas that I didn’t realize we’re causing issues. An injury five years ago left my left shoulder and arm having decreased range of motion and extreme pain. I didn’t realize the issues until my therapist worked out those areas. I felt like I had a new arm. This was also the case writhing every issue but, especially, my glutes! I have always been weird about anyone massaging me in general other than my mother but Massage Envy has made me a fan girl for life!!! Seriously, you leave massage drunk! Haha
I don’t get a massage without their deep muscle therapy treatment! They use heating and cooling agents to decrease inflammation and alleviate your aches and pains. It also helps my joint discomfort that I experience from my two previous surgeries.
I am 24 years old and I wS to, d by my chiropractor that I had the back of a 50 year old and the legs and feet of a 60 plus year old. I knew that I needed to make a lifestyle change and make cut backs so I could take care of me! And that’s what we all forget to do. We take care of everyone else before ourselves.
I reached a point to where my pain and anxiety controlled my life. Thanks to Massage Envy, I can now take care of my family and friends better because I put ME first. I may not have my nails done monthly but I get a massage that has prevented and will continue to prevent me from future surgeries. It is a monthly investment that is shaping my life daily and for the future! You can’t just get one massage a year and expect to have it last! It’s like a freaking hair cut, maintenance is key y’all!

I branched out on my most recent visit and got a facial instead of a massage. I’m not typically one for pampering, but I figured it couldn’t hurt to try something new, particularly since I’d already pre-​paid with my Massage Envy membership.
Natalie was the aesthetician who worked on my skin at this appointment. As usual, the staff at this location was unhurried, courteous, and helped set a relaxing mood for my hour. Natalie greeted me warmly at the front and took me straight back for my facial after I declined a complimentary cup of tea. She started by asking me about my skin and determining what my needs may be. Next she took a look at my face under the bright light and magnifying glass to see what areas needed to be worked on.
We decided on an anti-​aging facial (yes, I’m facing the fact that I’m getting old). She explained every step before applying it, in a voice that was quiet but confident, and soothing in the spa environment. She also didn’t chatter too much in between, which helped me enjoy my quiet time even more. Some of the different steps made my skin tingle, or felt cool as they worked on my epidermis, but nothing was unpleasant.
As part of the facial, she also performed a hand, arm, and shoulder massage. While I typically like very deep pressure on a massage (I’m pretty active and always have some knotted muscle that needs help unwinding), the light pressure was perfect to help me relax during the facial.
At the end of the session, my skin looked dewy and refreshed. I did experience some breakouts throughout the week, which is to be expected — especially after a first facial, but I still think I may begin adding a facial to part of my regular beauty regimen.

This location is so clean. The front desk and the therapist are so nice and considerate of your needs. Moriah is the sweetest lady up front. I love coming in and talking with her. The owners are fantastic as well. Everything seems so organized. The estiticians are so calming and welcoming. Natalie always has a smile on her face. Keep up the good work!

Anna gave me a great massage, specifically targeting my low back problems. It was great and I even made another appt with her for the next time!
