She is a third tier eye specialist… I took my mother to her today because she has had nothing but discomfort from her cataract surgery. We checked in the office and was greeted by her very professional desk staff. And we did not wait longer than our expected appointment time before she was called back. Mom asked me to go back with her as this is the third eye specialist we have seen since her surgery and we have all had different stories of what is wrong up to and including that mom had a «growth» on her eye that needed to be surgically removed by laser. I am sure glad we did not go through anything drastic. This lady is among the most thorough eye specialists we have encountered. She scanned my mother’s eyes several times and took her into another room where she took pictures of the«growth» which appears to be sun damage… she assured mom that her cataract surgery healed well and that what the other doctors were concerned with was actually sun damage and a little leftover from the cataract. She would not recommend surgery. Then she examined the inner eyelid and found a growth that had calcified on the inner(under portion when you blink) eyelid. She put some drops to numb mom’s eyes and had her assistant come in and hold open the eyelid and removed the growth. INSTANTRELIEF!!! How could three different eye specialists miss this? I hope that this gives mom the relief that she needs… we highly recommend this doctor. When we were leaving at the checkout desk we were amazed at the number of diplomas and certifications she had and the checkout lady said that was not even half of them. The rest are scattered through the exam rooms and in her office. What amazed me the most was how pleasant Dr. Newton was and how professional everyone in her office is. Five Stars Dr. Newton you earned every one of them today!
