I used to consign all the time in Seattle and I’m pretty familiar with what is quality or not and what is desired. I’ve always taken very good care of our clothes and only try and consign what I know could be useful for others. The brands that I bring forth are not poor by any stretch and my clothes are of good quality. I brought two boxes of my daughters 18 mo clothes and up. There were a few random pieces of 0 – 3 but mostly older clothes. It was a sunday but the place was not packed. So I set my boxes and filled out the paper and proceeded to shop for my older daughter. When I was finished I came up to find out that out of two boxes, they took 7 items. When I asked why they only took 7 items, the woman replied that«anything under 12 months must be matched up». I said most of the items were over 18 and she responded«right but under 12 mo must be matched up». I thought ok. But then I pulled a corduroy jumper with the onesie shirt still in it AND I had actually purchased it at the«once upon a child» in Clarksville TN and my daughter never wore it. When I asked her why they didn’t purchase that one because it WAS matched up she replied that they don’t purchase Corduroy. WHAT?! That doesn’t make any sense. I just looked at her. To add insult to injury, when I went to my truck to see what she did actually buy, I discovered that the sets that were in there had been split. So she purchased half of the sets. The other halves were still in there. I’m not saying that this place is bad or that I will never go back. I actually find really great deals here and considering my daughters are growing at lightning speed, I’m don’t have many options. I just know that I will never consign here. Or at least I will go to the one in Tennessee to do so.

Decent place if you’re looking for some clothes and maybe some toys, otherwise, don’t even bother. My best advice in buying clothes is only look at the clearance rack. This is where you’ll truly find a good deal. Infant shoes, clearance or not, can be found at a good price as well. As far as selling anything here, I would say that for every $ 100 worth of things you try to sell them, you will maybe get $ 5 for it if you’re lucky. They are very snooty and downright rude at times, so brace yourself. In general, this is how it will be at any Once Upon A Child location. I recommend the Taylorsville Road location for Louisville residents. They are slightly more friendly, the store is larger and cleaner, and it’s overall a better experience than Outer Loop.
