Parent-Teacher Store & Toys Too

My wife and I drove around town trying to find art supplies, educational aids like charts and posters for our toddler — none of the places we went to had what we were looking for. A girl at Babies ‘R Us suggested going to the Parent-​Teacher Store. When we got here, we were not only impressed with the selection of educational toys, book and other supplies they had but also the excellent service. The owner gave us all kinds of recommendations and talked to us at great length about our daughter, drawing from her experiences as a teacher. As we were checking out, my wife and I were making up our minds about which posters to buy; unbeknownst to us, the owner slipped into our bag a poster we had set aside. When we got home, I noticed the poster we’d decided not to purchase and remarked to my wife, «I thought we’d set this one aside. I hope they didn’t charge us for it». But on looking at the bill, we saw we hadn’t been charged for it. That was a nice gesture by the owner. We will definitely go back for other supplies.

Management knows why I won’t return. And they still haven’t tried to get me back. I agree with the other reviews, nothing has changed over time.

customer service is truly the worst i have ever come across. purchased a defective toy, which i fully intended to return. toy was packaged in that awful plastic stuff that requires scissors to open. when attempting to return the clerk stated they will not accept the return since the product had been opened and that they could not resell the item. humor me on HOW in the world i would have known about this defective toy had i NOT opened it. even after explaining this to the clerk, he was insistent that they would not accept the return. unbelievable… totally unbelievable. after spending about $ 100 in this store within the past few months, i will never give them another penny. be mindful shoppers… if it’s broke or defective… TO BAD! i’d suggest going to the store to window shop and taking your business elsewhere to buy.

I love this store. They are very helpful and have great educational toys and books. They are expensive but many items are not available locally and even though this is a franchise it is locally owned and I’m always willing pat a little more for that.

As a fourth grade teacher and parent, this store is a lifesaver. Great place to go for kids birthday party gifts and I get supplies for my classroom here. The best part is that it’s not a franchise. No complaints. Staff is always very friendly and helpful. 5 stars.

If I could give this store less than 1 star I would. When they moved to this location I swear the service got even worse! I reluctantly went there when they moved near my house and I shopped for a bit with no acknowledgment of me even being in the store, then at the checkout counter, 2 employees stood there having a discussion and ignored me, at the 5 minute, YES 5 (FIVE) minute mark, I walked out. Rudest store I have EVER shopped in. Not to mention their prices suck as well. USE ONLY IN A DESPERATE EMERGENCY!
