The Philadelphia cheeses teak is good, but employees not wearing gloves to cook. Think that y i cannot give them more than three stars. All the fast food restaurant must wear gloves to cook.

Penn Station is a good sandwich place, better than a Subway. Their prices are good too.

Every time my office staff has visited this Penn station they are nothing but rude. We have been told several tunes we can’t preorder and when we get there, they are just annoyed that there is several different orders for the office. They rarely get the order right. Nobody should be made to feel as if there order is not important.

For a chain restaurant Penn Station has consistently great grilled subs and unlike most of their competitors they also have fresh cut fries, which are also top notch. I normally come here for the Philly cheesesteak. It has ample steak with very tasty provolone melted over the top. What I don’t like is the somewhat overpowering taste of garlic in the cheesesteak. It’s not a traditional ingredient for this classic and for me it is an unnecessary and unwanted addition. It may be in the bread but undesirable just the same. Service is mostly friendly and attentive with some minor exceptions. Customers are always greeted when entering and addressed when leaving but it often comes off as false, impersonal and ‘required by corporate’ since they usually don’t actually look at you when greeting. I understand that it’s difficult to be perfect and overall Penn has good food and service and they stand above most of the competition in this area.

Way better than Subway will ever be but not as healthy as Subway. It has a clean and calm atmosphere which I like. There is hardly any noise level here and the customer service is great. I shall be going back.

Well… looks like we aren’t the only ones… check your order before you leave the joint cause if you have special requests you take it into your own hands. Ordered a turkey rueben with thousand island on the side and when I got home no sauce. In an effort to let the highly concerned group of post pubescent workers know about the problem, they acted like they couldn’t care any less. Almost thirty bucks for freakin sandwiches(none of which are larges, no drinks) you think someone could get the order right. Tear your bags open folks… this group could give a hoot about your order…

Helpful staff, acutally put meat on your sub without you having to complain like another Penn Station I have been to ;) Love the Philly Cheesesteak & the boy loves to build his own.

All aboard to a one stop subway to awesome! When I am looking for a freshly grilled, handcrafted, tasty sub experience I come to Penn Station. I have never met a friend who did not enjoy their fresh potato cut fries. How fresh cut are the fries you ask? Well you are just looking at a potato when you place your order. I do have to admit this is like the evil cousin to the calories you will intake at Subway, but they do offer a child’s or 4 inch sub that must be requested when you order. Let’s just say, I have a couple devilish cousins, but I have to admit, like Penn Station… they are pretty awesome!

This location is still good, but needs work. You already know that their bread is good, as are their fries, also tea and lemonade. But the chain in Louisville as a whole has gotten a bit too comfortable, riding on their previous reputation. It makes their constantly increasing prices hard to swallow… if I am going to spend 8 or 9 on lunch… I may go to an Applebees or some such full service chain, but I’d rather see you get back to basics.

Never a problem and the chicken parm is pretty delish. Everyone raves about the fries. They are good! Also they have fresh squeezed lemonade(mix with their iced tea for an Arnold Palmer you won’t soon forget!).

It’s Penn Station… there’s not a lot to say. They’re better than Subway but not as good as Jimmy Johns. I’ve found the employees at this location to be friendly and my order was prepared quickly. One girl was sweeping the floor, pulled something out of the crud she swept up, and then ran around to show it to other employees… gross. But at least she wasn’t touching the food. I dig Penn Stations fries but if this placed wasn’t located around the corner from where I work I’d never eat there. I don’t have to tell you what Penn Station tastes like. You’ve eaten a sub and this is fast food. However they need to adjust their prices accordingly since they are fast food.

I have had issues with this particular Penn Station in the past when the staff insisted that it was IMPOSSIBLE to issue a credit card receipt for our order, even after we had contacted the owner and the corporate office, so we avoided this location for several months. I mean, the counterperson once started shouting at me when I insisted that he could. We recently started going back, because we do enjoy the food and it is the closest one to the house, but… We stopped in on Super Bowl Sunday for a couple of sandwiches for lunch and although the place was not very busy, we were greeted with a wall of noise from a way too loud radio AND a blaring TV. The kid taking our order gave the impression that he really couldn’t be bothered with assisting us, but we finally got our order placed and walked down the counter to the cash register to hand our credit card to Brandi(her real name) to pay for our order. She asked us something and neither one of us could understand what she said over the cacophony of sound and my wife nicely said«I’m sorry, I really couldn’t understand what you said over the noise.» Brandi actually rolled her eyes and mouthed a «whatever», but didn’t repeat what she said. While waiting for our order to be brought out to the table, we observed that the staff seemed more concerned with horsing around with each other, than actually working. We have also noticed on previous visits, that there never seems to be any management presence at this store as there are at the other Penn Station locations we visit. The young lady who actually brought our order to the table was nice enough however and didn’t seem inclined to join the others in their irresponsible behavior. We gave this place a second chance, but it clearly has serious issues and we won’t be back and cannot recommend it to others. Their are other Penn Stations in town that are run correctly, so avoid this one.
