Don’t read these other reviews– just because people use big words to describe their awful experience here, the food is phenomenal. The employees are so friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. If you’re not sure what you want, the employees are there to help you build your own sub. Well worth the cost; the fries are the best! Fried in PEANUTOIL! Must eat the Philly cheesesteak!

Nicest workers ever! Best fries! I was there at a non-busy time of day and the service was fast and friendly. The fries were super fresh and delicious. And the lemonade is the best I’ve had. It is a little pricey compared to some other fast/«medium-fast» food places, but well worth it I’d say. The location is convenient to lots of shopping and the interstate as well.

I looooove this place! Im a fry girl. Im talking crispy, salty on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Mmmm! I retract all other proclamations of better fries: this is it! Their sandwiches could do with more stuff inside(a bit skimpy) and they’re skinny as heck, but THEFRIES!!! And the lemonade!!! I’ll see you there.

The employees here are super friendly. The food is what you would imagine from a quick sub shop, if not slightly better. I was impressed to learn that they fresh squeeze their lemonade every day, definitely a plus. 2 very enthusiastic thumbs up.

Not a good experience at all. Ordered two simple subs and one order of fries. Had to wait almost 30 minutes. Got it to go, very disappointed when we got home with the food. Subs were terrible. My daughters Italian was so greasy she couldn’t eat it and I had chicken salad minus the chicken salad. There was watery shredded lettuce and about a teaspoon of chicken salad on an anemic tasteless bun. Never again.

Way over priced. Some combos are right at ten dollars. Subway is much better. Last time I was there, the manager tried to pull a fast one. I ordered a Philly Cheese SteAk, 8 inch with medium fries. Instead of putting my fries in the medium size cup, she put them in the basket that my sub came on. This was equal to a small fries. When I called her out on that(nicely) she got an attitude and placed them in a cup. She did not add more to fill the cup up. As for the sub, it was 80% bread, 15% cheese and with little to no meat and veggies. I will never go back.

Good sandwiches for sit down prices. The restaurant is very clean and service is okay. Never had a bad experience with staff or the food. You will be satisfied if you don’t mind paying extra for everything. Not to judge a place on a few encounters but the manager/owner is really strange here. While eating my sandwich the guy comes over and questions whether I paid extra for the lemonade while I’m eating. He didn’t even ask nicely and was very abrupt. Kind of soured me on the place. It’s bad enough you have to spend 10 to 15 dollars for a 8 inch sub, small fry, and regular lemonade but to be questioned while eating by this character. No thanks. FYI, don’t expect them to open at 10:30AM. I have been there the last three times and the door was locked.

This was my first visit to Penn Station and I have mixed feelings… isn’t this supposed to be what is considered«fast food»? The wait times for my meal was ridiculous — 20 minutes for a sandwich and some fries. The Chicken Cordon Bleu(chicken breast, smoked ham, swiss, lettuce, tomatoes, honey mustard & mayo) is delicious! Much better then anything I’ve had at Subway. If you’re not in a hurry I’d recommend trying them out.

I’ve eaten at other Penn Station locations and eaten once before at this one — I’ve enjoyed the subs in the past. But the last time we ordered sandwiches from here, I was seriously disappointed. It wasn’t overly busy but they messed up the orders — I specifically asked to have mayo on the side on one sandwich and leave out onions on the other… not once but twice(while placing the order and once again while they were preparing them). Somehow they bungled it… I usually like to give people the benefit of the doubt and realize everyone makes mistakes but what was really frustrating was that the toasted subs were soggy… yes, the bread for both sandwiches was soggy… and the sandwiches didn’t have any kind of sauce that could soak in to the bread if left sitting for some time. So it makes me worry a little that they were mushy…

Nothing special about this fast food place. The bread is no comparison to Subway… different spin than Subway, more expensive. Ok, just not impressed.

Penn Station, it took awhile but you grew into my shining star in Louisville. This location was my first and last Penn Station I ate during my 2+ month stay in Louisville, and I can say I’m satisfied. Perfectly grilled, fresh sandwich, at good speed, with a smile. It’s comparable to Potbelly’s, but has it’s own character. Service was always prompt and with a smile, and all the ingredients seemed fresh. Their fries are the best of any place I had found in Louisville. I hope this place + chain sticks around. Thanks for all, guys!(as of today I have left Louisville, Kentucky for good)
