This guy is the best! Every time I see him i run to him like he is my my long lost grandfather! He has made my night better so many times. I don’t know about you but when I drink I also want to munch on something, but if your in a bar there is not much food to come by. You can always tell its him by his overalls and gray beard . He is selling yerky and in all different flavors. They can get pretty spicy!!! Tell him what you like and he will find the right kind for you. He sells a baggy for $ 5 a pop and he welcomes exact change. He just kinda walks down bardstown rd and makes and appearance. If people don’t come up to him he moves to the next location. I love him, maybe he is my long lost grandpa!

Évaluation du lieu : 4 Louisville, KY
You’re at your fave Louisville bar, probably on Bardstown Road. You’re taking in the other bar-goers, who are more than likely a mix of hipsters and other locals. The crowds part. And standing in the middle is a long-bearded man in overalls with a basket full of Ziplock baggies. And you start salivating. This is, of course, because Rusty has just arrived, and his beef jerky always seems like the perfect addition to a night out. The first time you see him you’re cautiously intrigued. By the fifth and sixth time, you greet him like an old friend. And this is because Rusty is a local institution. Rusty is «keep Louisville weird» in real life. I love that he’s a part of the Louisville nightlife scene. And much more than hype — his beef jerky is really good. I love his teriyaki jerky, which has a bit of a sweetness to it. The jerky with black pepper has a bit of a kick, but not too much that makes you want to stop eating.(And if you are in the mood for something spicy, Rusty has some varieties of jerky with some heat as well.) And tonight I got to try some of his bacon jerky … because … bacon. I love me some bacon(obvs) but had never had bacon jerky before. I’m happy that I could get to do this through Rusty. And my thoughts: It’s not as flavorful as typical, just fried bacon, though I think that would normally happen in the jerky process. But it still is delicious — and absolutely so after a couple of beers. Considering it’s more fatty than typical jerky, it’s not as dense, but again, good. Rusty must know his audience because I can imagine eager Highlands bar-goers, literally, eating it up. Each of the bags is $ 5 each. It’s a modest amount of jerky in each, but again, he knows his clientele. And I’ve shelled out a fiver on multiple locations to get this locally made treat. So next time you see a man in overalls carrying a basket walk in, ask him what he has to sell tonight and enjoy the savory goodness.
