I love this place especially the large discounts. Last year’s styles? Who cares! I still wear clothing that is older than my children. I recently bought a Jerry Garcia tie and every time I wear it, I receive compliments. I also enjoy receiving coupons for more discounts. As for quality, you have to look to make sure all the seams are perfect but I found issues at high end stores.

This Stein Mart, across the street from the St. Matthews Mall, is a great place to find bargains on last years styles. They carry men’s and women’s clothes, shoes, home goods, and tchotchkes. If you don’t mind hunting around and using their coupons with sale items, you can find quite a bargain. However, if you are looking from something specific I would probably look elsewhere.

I like going to different clothing stores/​semi-​department stores, just so I can find something unique. Stein Mart is one of those stores.
Just like any other store, you really need to be careful about the pricing. Yes it is not as pricey as Department Store on new arrival items, but it’s not always cheaper.
Their best deal is 50% red dot clearance for HOME — with this deal, I can get a Euro size pillow with cover with about $ 12, or regular size decorative pillow for just $ 8– which I think pretty darn good.
There’s also 30% red dot clearance — which the best for non home items. When their shoes are on sale, they are also good price, especially when you can top it off with another 20% coupon.
I signed up for mailing list (email) so I get a lot of coupon and promotions.

While the prices on women’s clothing at Stein Mart are great I’ve had mixed luck on the quality of the items I’ve purchased there. At times I’m lucky enough to snag dresses and blouses that last through many wearings. However, I’ve also bought pants that lost their hems after just two weeks and encountered skirt suits made of cheap feeling material. My advice, carefully inspect any item that you buy at Stein Mart to determine whether it is really a great deal just something cheap.
