Tattoo Charlie’s

Sloppy sloppy tattoo, got to say it looked good when it was finished on Aug 2^nd 2015 now being the 7^th and most of the peeling of the tattoo is done the nice red ink has turned pink, shading has peeled off, actual color in some spots is now non existence, outline is broken, shakey, and doen’t even exist in some places. The guy that did my tat seemed to rush through it because 45 mins for ¾ of my forearm just doesn’t seem like enough time for quality work. Also the fact that I came there a couple days early got my name on the list waited 4 hours and was told they couldn’t get to me then I made a appointment for the 2^nd got there early and still had to an hour. I know there are good artist here because my wife gets all her work done at Tattoo Charlies but this is my second tat full Tattoo Charlies ans second disappointment. I probably will not go back. Upside nice friendly staff and very clean, they will make you feel at home other than that I don’t see myself coming back to Tattoo Charlies.

My first time getting a tattoo at this location. The staff are awesome and my cover up I had done is amazing. It’s not finished, so I will definitely be back to see Darin again.

Sloppy tattoo! Had a tattoo done by an artist here after getting so many recommendations for tattoo Charlie’s. So disappointed! The font was crooked, inconsistent, and very sloppy looking. I’m the process of having it removed by laser!

Clean facility. Friendly staff. Video game and movie entertainment for good friends who will wait through a tattoo for you.

I don’t live in the Louisville area so my review is on ordering body jewelry from Tattoo Charlie’s. I love high class body jewelry & no one close to me had near the selection or prices that I found here. I ordered an Industrial Strength opal septum clicker & was told it would arrive the first week in August. It got there almost 2 weeks early. He even shipped it overnight for me because of some delays, that’s amazing customer service!!! My clicker is purple titanium with lime green opals and its stunning! You can order from here regardless of where you live in the US & they will ship to you. There are so many greedy sellers out there overcharging for body jewelry, especially septum clickers, I’ve seen them for over $ 200+ but not here. I will definitely be back for more from Buddy. He was a pleasure to deal with! I may be moving to the Louisville area & if I do, I know exactly where I’ll be going for my tattoo & piercings :) Highly recommended!!!

I’m just giving two stars. I do however have two foot tattoos that I got done here years ago and it is pretty good but my artist didn’t seem very friendly.
I figured since I got my first tattoos there that I would get another with them Sunday. Even though my other artist wasn’t a talker he did a good job. I got there and they said 1 ½ hour. Ok. Leave, go get a few things and call. Its been about that long. She then says 2 hours. You freaking kidding me right. I live all the way in IN. Came to them for my tattoo when I could have been driving home. So, I spent time with friends and waited the next 2 hours. I get a call and miss it then call them right back. She proceeds to tell me that he may be able to do it at 11:00PM!!! Then she says but she is not for sure! Really!!! Want me to stay over here all effing night. Whatever. Very disrespectful. I get tattoos that have meaning to and they mean a lot.
I went elsewhere and am so happy with the work done.

I got my 9^th tattoo with Eric at the original location before they moved (they’re no longer at Berry) and had a very pleasant experience. From looking at his and others’ portfolios, this is a good place to get your custom work done for sure. My tattoo looks fantastic (it’s about 6 months old now) and I’ll definitely go back to get some more in the future. The only thing I will do differently is to use my own A&D instead of the lotion they provide as they give it to you in a little pill bottle (so cute, right?) that pops open in the pocket of your dress at the wedding you’re photographing later that weekend, getting all over your lens cap, and you’d think that would change your mind about throwing the remaining bottle full back into your purse because it might just get all over everything else you own, but you throw caution to the wind only to have the wind change and throw caution right back at you as you later find all your cash to be quite slippery and moisturized and smelling quite nice because the cap to the lotion pill bottle just doesn’t like to stay on.
Not that any of that happened to me. At all.
