Bamboo Express

Greasy, soggy, tasteless, luke warm, American/​Chinese food… I think not. I knew what to expect going in. I got what I deserved.

Low quality food, very cheap. Skip it unless it’s all you can afford. You get what you pay for here and it’s cheap food.

Bamboo Express is far from the best Chinese food that I’ve eaten. In fact, it’s pretty damn low on the list. I am rating it 5 stars, however:
Pros:
–INSANE value. It was less than $ 6 for the same amount of food that costs $ 8+ at Panda Express or (insert Chinese place here).
–The food was about what you’d expect– pretty average American Chinese food.
–Fast service– you can be in and out within 1 minute (if no line).
Cons:
–Food isn’t cooked to order, so I would assume this place would suck if you go during an ‘off’ dining time (not near lunch or dinner, so 4 p.m.).
–Greasy (though, not really a knock. Most all Chinese food is).
If you have Chinese American food cravings and do not want to go to Panda Express, Bamboo Express is a very good option for you. I will definitely be returning.

The rice and noodles are absolutely delicious! The sesame chicken is what I enjoy and the chicken is meaty and tender, not chewy like some Chinese can be. Five stars for the price and courteous service as well.

Good variety. Portions served very well. Extremely affordable. The crab wontons are always very well filled. We go here about once a week. Love it! Great Chinese take out

This Chinese food is extremely greasy! Had a pool of grease at the bottom of the container… for $ 1.50/scoop though don’t know if I should expect any better. Their egg drop soup was good though, no grease in that!

Good food for good prices. Every now and then I have a craving for cheap chinese food, and this place hits the spot! I had the sesame chicken, lo mein, and fried rice — all great. Spring rolls are wonderful. Wontons are a bit sweet for me, but still good for what you pay. I do take-​out, but the eat in area is clean.

Tasty food, clean atmosphere, and a fast service with affordable prices. :) what else do ya need!!! Love it eat there all the time since so close by. Would recommend it to everybody! Esp the coconut shrimp, cream cheese wontons,&chow mein!

We eat here on a regular basis. Food is freshly made daily and service is top notch. We have never had a problem. 1.50 a scoop is a good deal as we can eat for less than 5 bucks a head.

I love this place. Fast food, cheap, taste great. The food is fresh. My fav is the coconut shrimp. This is the same as the Walnut Shrimp that cost $ 12 at the other places. Leave out the walnuts if they make it that expensive I’ll take a scoop of the cheap stuff. I feed my whole family of 6 (4 hungry teenagers) for only $ 25 and we have tons of leftovers. I run a landscaping business and I take the crew here for lunch. Love it.

The food here is fresh, inexpensive, and fast. Never real busy with take out and sit down. The quality of food in this price range ($ 1.50/scoop, by the scoop) is good. It is an authentic family owned business. I eat here frequently for the quality and value and to support locally family owed businesses.

Still a good value but the lack a variety causes this place to loose it’s appeal over time. The quality of the food seems to have slipped as their volume of business has increased.
A good place to go for fast and good chinese on a budget.

I know, I know … you think, $ 1.50 scoop … how good can that be? Well, to my surprise, and I’m sure yours too, you will find this place is not half bad. The fried rice is good and I always get the chicken and mushroom … I know I sound a bit like the review below me, but I speak the truth! They have a really good selection for a good price.
