Firestone Complete Auto Care

I have used Firestone a lot and after going by there today I won’t use them anymore. I stopped by to have winter tires put on and u got told they could make an appointment. They were all sitting around not working on anything. How do you turn a customer away at 415 when you close at 5? Laziest people I have ever met!!!

Came in here to get the standard oil /​air /​filters /​tire service for a fleet vehicle. Front lobby folks were very polite, professional, and hard working. The lobby was kind of mobbed and they said it would take 75 minutes for my service, but it ended up taking 30 so no complaints there. I’ll be back again in another 7,500 miles.

I was driving on I-​25 today and my serpentine belt happened to snap right off. I called Firestone at about 3:30 and asked them if it would be possible to fix it this evening if I got it in before they closed at 5.
Long story short, the tow truck ended up taking an hour and half longer than they quoted me on the phone, so I didn’t get to Firestone until about 5:30.
They immediately got to work on my car, ran diagnostics and replaced the broken belt and I was back on the road by about 6. I don’t know that I can say enough good about Gary and the people who work here.

I came in here to get some new tires for my car. I called around first to get the best price and got quoted the best price for the specific tires I was looking for here. After I got done and got the bill it was $ 30 more than they quoted me on the phone. I was not too happy. After I asked about it the employee got very pissy with me and told me that I was already getting a good deal and I shouldn’t be complaining. I did end up finding the guy who quoted me over the phone later because I remembered his name and he was able to get the price down to $ 5 more than the phone price and was very nice about it. So in the end it was taken care of. During the service they told me that the car had a loose tie rod end that needed replaced. I asked how much and the mechanic who came out to tell me about it told me it was $ 180. I declined. Once they rang up my bill they gave me a quote for the tie rod end replacement and it was $ 280! It seems that in both instances with the tires and the tie rod end they don’t know what their own prices are, or they quote you low and hope you pay the amount that actually comes up when they ring up your bill. I don’t think I will be going back here just because I can’t trust the prices that they quote for anything, and if I do I will make sure the deal is in writing first.
