Generations Salon and Spa

I made an appointment before going out of town and got a call at noon saying that they had to reschedule my 2:30 appointment because the stylist was out for the day with the flu. She didn’t know that she had the flu that morning? I understand that people get sick but waiting until the last minute to call is really rude and inconsiderate.

I love these ladies! Prices are excellent as well as service being amazing. I have found my new stylists. They are even willing to fix the mistakes I made in decision making, I had her leave my bangs too long and really didn’t like it that long so she offered to fit me in and fix it for free! It was my choice and she was going to fix it, if that’s not the BEST customer service in the industry I don’t know what is. Very talented so if your tired of chain or bargain hair salons messing up your hair and leaving you hanging when you want THEIR mistake fixed give these ladies a chance to prove just how good they are! They aren’t any more expensive if you order off the menu at those hack job places either.

The short end:
PRO: My hair looks FANTASTIC
PRO: It was not crazy expensive
CON: It took longer than I expected
CON: Another customer talked extremely loudly for (what felt like) an hour straight. Seriously no one wants to hear about how your husband lost his arm in a tractor accident and would have had a much harder time if he hadn’t remained calm and it hadn’t been a clean break. Seriously. Ew.
The long end:
I walked in and was greeted by Dana who consulted with me before handing me over to her daughter Jess. Jess walked me through the process of what color I wanted and how she was going to do it. She told me every product she used in my hair (all Redken for the most part) and did not cut corners. I have A LOT of hair. She made sure she allocated enough time to do the job correctly and without rushing. Also, she is HILARIOUS.
I had a deep conditioning treatment, a trim, a root touch up, lowlights, and toner applied a second time. Grand total price was $ 150. I am extremely pleased with the service, the manner in which it was given, and the environment. (The salon could have been a little bigger but now I’m just nitpicking.)
