First time coming to this local seafood joint. Our waitress was awesome but the kitchen was slow. Overall food was pretty solid.

We went here on Friday night, 4⁄8 for dinner. We were seated promptly and the hostess was friendly. Our server, Kylie, greeted us pretty quickly and took our drink order. She asked if we had been there before, and when we indicated we had not, she told us if we had any questions about the menu just to ask. She was really friendly and attentive, without being overly so. She really did do a fantastic job. My husband ordered the clam chowder and the Trident, I ordered the Onion rings and burger(I wasn’t feeling in a seafood frame of mind). My husband did enjoy his chowder. He’s from the east coast and is pretty discriminating when it comes to chowder. I tasted it and it was very good. A little heavy on the potato side, but, overall good. My burger was excellent. It tasted as if it had been grilled over an open flame and was cooked to the temperature I had requested. Very generous portion. The onion rings were also good, crispy with a batter coating. As for the Trident, my husband did enjoy it, but, probably wouldn’t order again. The shrimp were very large and delicious. That was the best part. As someone else mentioned, the scallops could do with some color and seemed to be under seasoned, as did the rest of the dish. Certainly the butter was there, but it seemed to be lacking in the salt and garlic department. The crab«stuffing“portion of the dish was more of the consistency of a very loose mashed potato. While it did taste ok, after a couple of bites, it was hard to eat much more because it just seemed so wet and heavy. It could have been the butter that the dish was baked in, perhaps the stuffing had soaked up so much of it that it became loose. I’m not sure, but, it was just difficult to eat. While we didn’t try any of it, I have a sense that their wheelhouse may be the fried seafood options. We saw other people getting the baskets and they did look appetizing. We would try this again, for a lunch perhaps, to give one of those a whirl. As a final note, there was live music that night. It was an older gentleman and I appreciated that the sound wasn’t so loud that he made it difficult to chat while having dinner. It was a nice level of background noise.

Went as a party of 5(4 adults, 1 child) and the only redeeming quality was the key lime pie. I ordered fish tacos and they were terrible– very fishy tasting. Nothing on them except iceberg lettuce and they were wrapped with stale tortilla shells. I asked for the salsa and cheese that they were supposed to come with and waitress said– they always forget that. Everyone else at the table felt the same way about their meal. We will not go back. We love Pelicans Reef and heard these 2 were affiliated, not sure how but Lost Flamingo has a long way to go to catch up.

Before you read this, keep in mind that I grew up in Florida and am a bit of seafood snob: It was ok, definitely not great. Was excited when I heard that they had conch fritters, but they were mostly just flavored dough with very little conch. The conch chowder had way too much black pepper, which seemed to be a means of covering up the fact that there was very little conch in it. I had the Trident, which the waitress touted as their best dish, but was somewhat disappointed. The shrimp were fine, but the scallops and crab cake would have been so much better if they had been browned just the tiniest bit. The crab cake was not a cake — it was like crab cake sauce. The scallops didn’t have the slightest bit of color to them. I’m not suggesting that the food should have been«well done» — just give it a little bit of browning on the outside. On the plus side, the waitress was super friendly. And the steamed broccoli was excellent — in truth, it was probably the best thing on the plate. This place has potential, if only they could get closer to serving the kind of food that their Florida décor seems to suggest that they would, instead of coming off as yet another non-coastal seafood restaurant with a menu that misses the mark. I will give them another shot — maybe the chef was having an off night…

Love when you get the unexpected at dinner. The dinner was excellent and we got an added bonus of live music. Great way to spend the evening with the wife. Good food, good company and good music, the magic trio for a great evening! The jumbo fried clams were excellent and we also enjoyed the swordfish. The steamed broccoli was very good as were the fries. Been here twice now and haven’t been disappointed yet, definitely worth giving it a try! Even during their busy period, the waitresses weren’t fazed. Service with a smile! Ask for Dani, she is great! Always waits on you with a smile.

I’m very excited to find this place. It’s like a little piece of Florida in Ohio! The atmosphere is fun and relaxed, and the service was friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the food a lot, unfortunately I just wasn’t very hungry. My husband however cleaned his plate and even had some of mine. The cocktails are great! I had the White Bahama Mama and could have drank them all night long. It was reminiscent of something you’d have beachside. I did feel the food was a bit overpriced for the portion size, and sadly we were too late for the Conch fritters or the special. Next time we’ll get there earlier. I would definitely would recommend this place, and hope to make it a regular haunt.

It’s a damn shame when you order 20 wings and your still hungry because they look like they were little toad legs
