Drove quit a distance to try his pizza. only to find the place is closed! For good! He only does a pizza truck now.

We just moved to Loveland and I really like trying local, non-chain restaurants. This pizza was great. The crust is hand tossed and chewy, which I love. The sauce tastes like it was just made and the cheese is perfect. The owner is a sweet old man who aims to please– how can you not support that kind of local business. Definitely recommend.

The pizza is awesome, but carry out! The owner talks our ear off the entire time, about everything you can imagine(what he pays in rent, business problems, family…). He’s a nice guy but it’s just too much. Let your pizza do the talking because it’s good stuff. Side note: he didn’t have any red pepper flakes and barely any parm cheese. When we asked for napkins he only gave us one each. I feel bad for him because I love supporting family businesses, but these are staples at a pizza joint. I hope he gets so business advice so we can keep eating this wonderful pizza!

Went to this place over the weekend. The man who runs it is a really sweet guy. Makes everything to order by hand and fresh. He is from New Jersey so he knows how to do pizza right. He made us a pie right away in less than ten minutes. We finished the entire thing before leaving. Reasonable prices.

The owner is old school. Liking it so far. Don’t fret about the time he says they don’t guarantee it. It must be good then. Very personable and friendly owner. You can tell right off the bat that he tries to please every customer but he will tell you what’s in his mind. Everything looks delicious.

Amazing pizza authentic NY style! Meatballs are also phenomenal. Too bad it just doesn’t seem to get busy enough, because people are missing out!

Finding good pizza is a chore, especially when it’s so easy to stop at the chains. This one is between I-275 and East Kemper Road on Loveland-Madeira Road in a small strip mall on the east side of the road. You might have to turn around to get there because the sign is difficult to see but there is also a Seafood shop there. I was having some service done at Kings VW and I was looking for some place to eat that I hadn’t tried.(Zab Thai Kitchen was good but I can only take so much of Caucasian-oriented Asian food.) I saw some reviews for this place and, since I love pizza, I was prepared to try it. It wasn’t pretty. The décor is not so much selected, as it is a mishmash of a few restaurant business decisions. There are 2 booths and 3 tables, each of which seat 4 people. There is a front counter where you go to order, and not much room. It’s not unlike a lot of places where I used to go in Philadelphia for pizza or sandwiches and the man who runs it isn’t much different either. He’s definitely from the norrtheastern states and he’s open and honest and lets you know how he makes the food and how long it will take. He told several people that he doesn’t make fast food and if they wanted something *right now*, that wasn’t really possible. The openness is refreshing. In any case, I ordered a 10 inch Rosario’s Super Special – a deluxe or supreme by other names. That was $ 10.99, which isn’t much different from La Rosa’s, except that you get 5 ingredients instead of 4. I added a can of soda(sorry, don’t say«pop») and the total came to $ 13.04. It’s a bit more than I usually spend but not outrageous for a number of places that can smell a $ 20 bill in your wallet. When the pizza arrived, I was surprised. It didn’t remind me that much of New York City-style pizza, but then, who in the northeast ordered deluxe but me? He made it into four slices, each of which was very hot. When I first picked a slice, it was still hot and a bit limp, so some of the sausage fell. As it cooled a bit, it was easier to manage. He puts the cheese just above the great sauce – it avoids that situation at some places where they put the cheese on top and you end up with crust and sauce and the ingredients and cheese end up coming off together. Thinking about it, I’d like to return tomorrow for another but it’s a bit far for me. I’m particular about my pizza and this place will go on my list because it’s that good. Fresh, good taste is never old, and the feeling of being back in the northeast was worth a lot, also. He’s also got sandwiches and daily specials but it’ll be the pizza that pulls me back. Update 2013.08.26: I got pizza today. I got there a little after 11 and he was just getting things started. Even though it says open at 11, he hadn’t been to the bank. I told him that he should go. I could wait. He insisted on making my pizza just then, and someone else showed up a bit after that. After it was quiet, he sat down and was talking to me, all smiles, he was happy with this review I wrote. 15 – 20 minutes later, after he kept asking me about the pizza, I mentioned something about pizza dust because there was something on my hands, in my mouth, and it was like old pizza dust – I worked for 2 years at a pizza place with those kinds of ovens, we scraped, dusted, and used wet towels to mop them regularly. He lost it! He told me that he cleaned his oven every morning, and with each word, he became louder. He said«I’ll make you a new pizza or I can give you your money back.» but I didn’t want that at all. He went further in the back, I dumped almost half of my pizza in the trash, took my stuff, and started to walk out. He took money out of the register and threw it at me while yelling. I feel bad for the man but no one should be yelling at me, especially when I’m concerned for his business. Probably obviously, I won’t return. The pizza is still good. He cares about the food – too much. Just be nice and he’ll be nice, I’m sure.

This place is great. I take that back, the food is great. The space itself isn’t awesome. But. the food… oh the food. Serious, New York style pizza. Like… slices as big as your damn head. Greasy and delicious. The best part about the place is the owner. The second we walked in he made us aware that this was not a fast food restaurant and their sandwiches are NOTSUBWAY!(Which…really make me like this place all the more) All in all, I can’t wait to go back and try more things on this menu. Go here… keep this man in business… eat people… EAT!

After my boss raved about Rosario’s, I knew I had to stop by for a work lunch. I called in an order and let me tell you, the gentleman on the other end of the phone was excited to tell me about all of his specials for lunch. Homemade sauce with homemade meatballs on fresh baked bread… say WHAT?! I think I only made it half way through the spiel when I just blurted out… I want that! His passion for the quality and service was already apparent, something I really dig. People are missing passion these days for their food, anyways I digress. 15min go by and its time to pick up the order Its situated right off Loveland Madeira in a strip mall, don’t pass it up!(I would suggest some signage on the side of the entrance but that may not be allowed?) Walked in and that’s where I fell in love with Russel. He is the owner with the Jersey/Italian zest for life, larger than life personality. My food was coming out of the oven and he showed me the process and explained again how he made the meatballs that morning as well as sauce and topped with fresh mozzarella. The sub was huge and good lord I couldn’t wait to dig in! The lunch special it also included a salad and 20oz soda all for cheaper than going to a blah fast food place.(Ask for the lunch specials). Food quality was just as good as Russel explained. You could taste the sage and spices in the meatballs and sauce was killer. While the food was excellent I think what I admired the most about this place was the owner pouring his heart and love into his product and customers… just wishing and begging for people to come into his door to enjoy a big part of who he is. Its a great reminder of how we need to help support local ‘mom and pop’ shops to keep them a float and keep the passion alive.

Very nice, great staff. Pizza wasn’t the best, but I love a NY style crust. Pretty inexpensive too. Owner is very attached/attentive, so if you like to be left alone while eating, take it to go.

Great little pizza and sub shop. The bread is homemade and has just the right texture, taste and thickness and the cheese is real whole milk mozzarella. All the ingredients taste very fresh… eating here feels like you’re back in Jersey or New York. Try the Garlic Knots as well. If you’re tired of bland chain pizza give these guys a shot. The place is small but the people are friendly and the prices are great.

This little pizza spot just opened recently in Loveland, it is located next to The Seafood Station. Rosario’s has some of the best New York style pizza I have had in a while! I feel like there aren’t that many good places to choose from though. The owners of Rosario’s are so nice and they have such good pizza for really good prices too! I would deffinitly suggest going here and supporting this awesome pizza spot!
