Meh it’s OK the food isn’t out of this world pretty average. I really wonder why this is such a busy place on the weekends as it’s kinda of just a local bar nothing special. Beer selection was pretty average, décor was pretty dated. Had a burger and it was average likely could of cooked better at home.

Today’s Review is not Pleasant; Debbie and I have been in here many a time. Very disappointed tonight. service was a bit slow on the start up but progressed ok. Ordered the Meatloaf dinner for the both of us. Along with salads and a cup o soup… salads are placed and waitress(Lisa) said she’d be right back with the soup. 30sec later soup was here. Just started on the soup and Debbie her salad when the Meatloaf dinners were delivered… sat looking at my dinner getting cold. 10min later she stopped and asked how things were, We said well not that you ask our dinners were cold. She blames the cooks(she didn’t know the Meatloaf would come out so fast…) She did offer to reheat or get us something else. said not to and asked to box up our dinners… The night was a bust… Thanks Rascal’s

Got to love rascals good food with good times. For its size it still has that family bar feel and the people working are the reason that is. Thanks for so very good times

Tuesday night, very slow. Asked two different people 4 times to turn the TV nearest us to the Cubs game(only reason we came in here). Nothing for 30 minutes. No salt or pepper on the table. Salad was low quality iceberg lettuce. Menu said my steak came with a vegetable but it didn’t make an appearance. The rest of the food was average, if I’m being kind. Large menu but they might be better served with a smaller one better prepared.

Good service at peak times. Great burgers, mediocre fries. The menu variety is good and the environment is friendly.

The fish fry was great, but it wasn’t unlimited. Who’s fish fry isn’t unlimited? Delicious fish and great service though!

I’ve eaten here multiple times. It’s a great place to go, chat with friends or even have larger gatherings. A motorcycle group I belong to holds their monthly meetings there. The service is usually pretty good. On the rare occasion I’ve had a less than stellar waitresses. Everything I’ve eaten there has been good. One time I had soup and it was a little on the cold side, but again that was a rarity. One of my favorites is the Jalapeño Pepper Jack Burger, if you like your meal with a little kick. Get it! I’ve used Rascals for everything from Large Groups to just a casual date. For those on motorcycles, they are VERY biker friendly. They even have special spots designated just for those of us that like riding steel horses.

My husband and I went for a cocktail and play the video games at Rascals, on Forest Hills. The bartender was rude and my husband finally got her attention and ordered a bloody mary. He handed her $ 20.00 she gave him only $ 4.20 in change. Trying again to get her attention. A regular customer told him it happen frequently in this Bar.

Great bar and grill. People are always friendly and they have a great menu. Its more of a quite/older bar especially later in the evening. They always have some great bands playing on the weekends. Close to Rockford Speedway and IL173. Great place to check out if your in the Rockford area!

Oh Rascals! They have terrible bands play there sometimes, but otherwise a good bar. Great outdoor area for smoking and drinking in the moonlight, and covered. The bar is full service, and they have some pretty great specials on the weekend. Clean bathrooms, lots of tables. I’ll take it.

I went here with my boyfriend and some of his friends when we were in town visiting. The huge size Blue Moon was $ 4 so that makes me happy. The outdoor patio area with games for people to enjoy also makes me happy. The bar inside is huge and so you get served quickly. We only stayed for two rounds of drinks but it was a good time.

I live in Chicago and went to this bar while I was in the Rockford area visiting a friend. It was a really fun time! I’m a big fan of dive bars in Chicago, but I wasn’t sure what to expect from a place like this in Machesney Park. I was pleasantly surprised. The drinks were cheap, the waitresses were cute and friendly and the crowd had a good mix of people. There was a band playing rock music from the ‘60s and ‘70s the night we went, so we had to pay a $ 4 cover at the door, but it was well worth it. They sounded really good and played a lot of my favorite songs. The crowd had a lot of older people(I think because of the band), but there were many middle-aged and younger people there too. Everyone we talked to while we were at Rascals was friendly … with the exception of one girl who was a little bit too friendly and offered to give my husband a BJ. But other than that, the other customers were nice and personable. I also thought this place didn’t have enough seating. All of the tables and stools at the bar were filled, so our group was forced to sort of camp out along a wall next to the restrooms. My friend who lives in the area said Rascals usually isn’t that crowded, so I’m thinking the band must have brought in a lot of the customers that night. Overall, I had a fun time at Rascals(sans girl offering to give my hubby a BJ), and if I’m in the area again visiting my buddy, I would definitely want to go back.

Decent bar with a great staff. If you take the time to mingle, magic tricks and shot over pours will begin to slide your way. I love how the jukebox plays the music video of the song you selected on all the TV’s. This is awesome when someone picks 2pac«how do you want it» followed by Michael Bolton«how can we be lovers». Priceless. The crowd is all across the board mixed. Day drinking is an older bunch while the night crowd is a bit of the same combined with 20-somethings. Definantly worth a stop if you rin the area. I have not tried the food, but they have plenty of daily specials to intice you. On an aside, this is stage 3 for the coug Spring/Summer circuit. Fridays and Saturdays are always a good time around the dinner hour. Hint: use the newly invoked secret santa ordering system and your in like Flint. Happy hunting!
